The scalability of the Xprotect architecture is what has allowed our security operation to grow from a handful of cameras to a enterprise wide deployment without replacing any of the foundational infrastructure we built on initially. Adding new sites and camera feeds into an existing installation is straightforward enough that our facilities team handles routine expansions independently without pulling in specialist integrators for every change. The open platform approach has also meant that hardware choices have remained ours to make rather than being dictated by a closed ecosystem that limits options and inflates costs over time. The licensing model adds a layer of cost complexity that requires careful planning and can produce surprises during expansion if device counts are not tracked meticulously from the outset. Managing physical security across multiple sites with different camera infrastructures and no unified monitoring layer was creating blind spots that our security team could not confidently account for during incident investigations. Xprotect consolidated everything into one management interface and the ability to pull footage from any site without switching between systems has meaningfully improved both our incident response capability and the quality of the evidence our security team can produce when an investigation requires it. Insurance and compliance conversations have also become considerably more straightforward since we can demonstrate consistent monitoring coverage across our entire estate rather than describing a patchwork of disconnected systems.
