I love how intuitive this product is for financial reporting. If you have any experience with Microsoft Office, you’ll know right away how to use it. Workiva’s built-in AI tool is especially helpful for quickly answering basic questions about the platform. I like Workiva because it's a centralized platform that's not just a documentation repository but is evolving with AI functionalities, which can potentially be used for automated testing in the future. This would help us maintain documentation and assist with control testing. The functionalities that we particularly like are Workiva's PBC collaboration functionalities because they allow seamless collaboration with stakeholders, which is more powerful than the previous tool we used. I think the system can be pretty slow sometimes, like it lags quite a bit. For example, loading a page typically takes me about 2-5 seconds, which is a bit frustrating. There are also many buttons to click through to get to where I need to be. From a UI design perspective, it could definitely be more user-friendly and streamlined. There are repetitive data fields in multiple places, which could be simplified. I also wish the system was more customizable. Right now, we can't consolidate or customize certain things like testing attributes and procedures in a way that suits our needs, so we're stuck working around the existing functionality Workiva provides. I really like how Workiva facilitates collaboration between our internal and external auditors. It's a great place to drop information and keep track of outstanding items instead of using messy emails. I also appreciate how easy it is to place evidence files and communicate back and forth through the platform. Plus, auditors can effortlessly provide samples, making it easier for us to deliver the necessary evidence. Another useful feature is assigning requests to the right team members when errors occur. I guess the UI of Workiva isn't the easiest to look at. It could be improved. We use some new project tools like ClickUp or ServiceNow nowadays that are a little more user-friendly to look at than Workiva is. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like how user-friendly Workiva is and how it shows the status of each working task, like completed, in review, pending, etc. We use it for our audit requests, and I'm easily able to upload supporting documentation for each audit request. I think there's too many emails and reminders that get sent when tasks are due. I don't need a reminder daily. Maybe it would be better to get a reminder 2 days before the due date, on the due date itself, and then once a week if it's overdue. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
