What problems is CargoWise solving and how is that benefiting you?
It does so many things for us and does them well. Order Management (if we want); Handling Consols and shipments of all types; Customs declarations; Local Transport; Document preparation; Database Management; Rates Management; Accounting; Tariff Classification Management, to name just a few
Right now we quote very quickly, in many multiple languages, and a lot of the business we quote on - we win.
We then get to focus on the operational and customer service aspects of every shipment - we believe this is a key area where we are differentiating ourselves from the pack.
Sure, we are in the game to make money - as all forwarders are - but it has never been our number one priority. As long as we can continue to meet or exceed our clients expectations, we know the outcome will be favourable. The product goes a long way to helping us achieve that.
We also make strong use of e-docs - this is a critical cornerstone of our daily methodology in how we use the system to its higher (but not yet full) potential.
We make strong use of the filters in all modules and this is also a key thing to get right - it means you can find a needle in a haystack if you need to.
We are clearly solving some of our clients supply chain issues (or alleviating at least) - we have had multiple blue chip clients leave some of the bigger forwarders and bring their global business to us. We definitely don't have the buying power or the market presence of the bigger established players - but we are making up for it with our levels of communication, refined use (almost two decades) of the software - and overall customer experience.
