# What are the best cloud detection and response (CDR) platforms for CISOs achieving real-time threat monitoring across cloud infrastructure?

Cloud detection gets hard when security has AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, identities, workloads, and data changing faster than a traditional SOC can inventory them. G2 currently tracks 43 CDR products across more than 3,400 verified reviews. Its current Grid highlights Microsoft Defender for Cloud, CrowdStrike Falcon Cloud Security, Wiz, Cortex Cloud, Arctic Wolf, TrendAI Vision One, Orca Security, and Barracuda Managed XDR. These are particularly relevant options:

Orca Security (4.7/5, 310+ reviews): agentless cloud visibility with strong ease-of-use scores; reviewers praise risk context but also mention false positives and occasional delayed vulnerability detection.

Sysdig Secure (4.8/5, 110+ reviews): particularly relevant for real-time cloud-native and runtime security, and one of the defining products in G2's CDR/CNAPP theme.

Detection speed is only useful if the alert carries enough ownership context to act on it. In a large cloud environment, finding a risky workload quickly can still leave security figuring out which team owns it and whether taking it offline will break something critical. I’d want to know which platform gets closest to connecting the threat, affected resource, and responsible owner in the same investigation.
