What do you like best about Whalebone?

The best feature of WhaleBone is the capability to allow and block the domains as per the business need. The DNS and content filtering feature dramatically helps in the Network security layer enabling an organization to be in a safer zone. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Whalebone?

We can conveniently categorize domains under both whitelist & blacklist thanks to Whalebone's domain intelligence feature. We can append custom layers to our security stack based on our needs. Its DNS policy ensures no response is sent from our DNS server if the domain is identified as malicious to improve our security governance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Whalebone?

We have recently started using Whalebone's Peacemaker for our domain security & threat mitigation. We would like to have an enhanced knowledge base for reference. It will ease up working on its user interface, and we could work on roaming agent setup & gain more visibility. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Whalebone solving and how is that benefiting you?

Whalebone's Peacemaker is splendid when it comes to processing audit logs in real-time & detecting threats in our network. We can define a custom block policy & also override the block policy to bypass DNS filtering. It's robust as it effectively scans and identifies malware-generated domains. Access privileges can also be managed at a granular level to block malicious sites, restrict search engines and preserve our client-sensitive data integrity. Whalebone provides DNS filtering, threat protection, and content filtering to Enterprise and Internet Service Providers. The admin portal is quite user-friendly and can be configured easily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Whalebone has minimal functionalities and features. It cannot customize the content category and provide granular control from the policies. It requires setup using Linux for on-premise or hybrid deployment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Whalebone?

Generally my overall experience has been great. A1 Telekom Austria started implementing "Aura" in 2020. The implementation was smooth. There was great support from Whalebone during the whole process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
