WeVideo is incredibly powerful! I use it in my classroom to have students create morning announcements, short skits, practice video techniques, and more. I especially love that my students can be out in the field recording, upload their videos, and then have my editing team get to work right away—even before the other students have returned. The platform is also incredibly easy to use. My students are able to edit a morning announcement video in about 20 minutes.

We love how WeVideo integrates with YouTube, so we can upload our videos without switching platforms! It also performs incredibly well, even on student Chromebooks since it's web hosted.

The pricing on WeVideo is far better than competitors! We truly feel that we are getting an incredible value for all that is offered.

The most helpful thing about WeVideo is the ease of use for users. It is simple to use for those that do not have a lot of experience in video editing. Users can make a professional video in just a few minutes with all of the tools within the MultiMedia tab. If users want to have interactive learning videos and playlists that is an option as well that is easy to setup.

There are several upsides including ongoing support from the WeVideo team via online meetings, their asynchronous online self-service support guides to learn on your own, and the super simple way to start with the Chrome extension.

Video is a key tool for content delivery in online courses, but educators face the dilemma presented by the tendency of videos to be an essentially isolated and passive experience. We want and need students to engage actively and meaningfully with content. To that end, I have tested many interactivity tools in my years as an educator. I consider Playposit to be one of the best tools I have used. I tested this tool in an online 400-level engineering course. The data we collected demonstrated outstanding levels of participation and mastery. Students gave very positive feedback. While the price tag may be intimidating, the affordances of this tool are well worth it. Stable platform, well-designed and easy to learn, intuitive user interface, many options for interactivities at all levels of Bloom's taxonomy, very granular controls allowing for many, many creative combinations of setups, and seamless integration with Canvas and Blackboard, as well as outstanding support availability, make this tool a great investment. There is a feature that the teacher can enable or disable which would allow the student (or not allow) the student to be able to rewind the video if needed. I have not been able to get this feature to work and my IEP kids need this! I don't know if it's my error or somehow an error of the program, but I haven't had the time to explore it more.
