Despite my dislikes, it's way better than trying to get someone in the office to make voice recordings, rework those recordings and probably having to make changes to those recordings in a month or 2 or 3. **What do you dislike about WellSaid Studio?** My biggest problem with WellSaid Studio is how it pronounces certain words. Sometimes correctly, sometimes not. Usually depending on where the word is placed within a sentence. Acronyms are especially bothersome. Another gripe is when a voice is updated, it is almost a sure thing that my rather large pronunciation library will need to be reworked to accommodate the change in how certain words and acronyms are pronounced. Also, how the inflection will change. This is especially true with the new Beta version. I'm not looking forward to it becoming the new normal. Making changes to an older course with the new Beta version will be problematic. Even the basic subscription level offers a wide variety of selections. **What do you dislike about WellSaid Studio?** The entry level subscription price is a bit on the high side. There is a free version but you cannot download any of the voice tracks you create with a free subscription. **What problems is WellSaid Studio solving and how is that benefiting you?** WellSaid studio allows me to revise voice tracks for my products as many times as needed. If features are improved or removed we can edit the voice track to fit the new requirements. We can have a consistent voice for all our video or animated work, no need to worry about not being able to find the same voice talent for subsequent work. ### 40. They make creating voiceovers easy and very quick without sacrificing quality. I create a new project, select from a wide range of voices, and create the voiceover. Occasionally I run into a word or two that we have to work around, but their phonetic spelling feature takes care of that. Most of the time, I just make a couple of tweaks and have the voiceover I want. I'd recommend them to anyone who wants quality voiceovers that sound real or nearly real. **What do you dislike about WellSaid Studio?** There are a couple of things that WellSaid could do better. Project Organization could be better. As the number of projects goes, it's not as easy to find past projects. Their project search works well though and you can at least order the projects by date or alphabetically. The other area where they could improve is voice inflections. The ones that they have are good, but there are some areas, especially with questions, where there could be improvement. **What problems is WellSaid Studio solving and how is that benefiting you?** We need a service to help us provide voiceovers for various types of videos we are producing such as explainer videos and training videos. WellSaid has been the answer. They've given us a quick and easy way of producing the quality voiceovers without having to spend loads of time. ### 41. We are a globally based team and the ease of WellSaid allows us to create consistent training modules from anywhere. It gives us the ability to quickly edit content changes, make updates, and produce videos with multiple characters voices faster than ever before. **What do you dislike about WellSaid Studio?** Sometimes the voices sound a bit robotic or pronounce things incorrectly. Learning how to spell out words phonetically has helped, but occassionally we'll have to switch a charcter because they just can't get the pronounciation right. I also hope they continue to add more global voices (and potentially a way to render content in multiple voices at once) as we have clients all over the world that we produce content for. **What problems is WellSaid Studio solving and how is that benefiting you?** We produce eLearning training content to support our software onboarding and advanced training. I manage and update over 50 mandatory education courses in Storyline for a medical organization. This year we are upgrading the VO (Voice Over) on many of the courses from computer sounding VO to more realistic voices in WellSaid. I choose a voice, paste the script into a WellSaid, reveiw it, tweak it if necessary, recreate, and save. I repeat this process for each screen. Goes fast. **What do you dislike about WellSaid Studio?** The only challenge with using WellSaid or any text to speech tool, is I sometimes have to spell a difficult word phonetically in order to get the VO voice to say it correctly. These spelling can be saved to save time the next time the word comes up. **What problems is WellSaid Studio solving and how is that benefiting you?** The biggest problem WellSaid sovled is with retakes from internal clients changing the script after intial script recording. In the past, when using VO talent, retakes would take time and money. Retake scripts would need to prepared, sent to the VO talent, rerecord, and sent back to me to be inserted in a course. With WellSaid, when there is a need for a retake, I simply go to WellSaid, rerecord the script with edits and save to insert in course. ### 43. We've used the platform to supplement our traditional voice actors for agile changes to training and marketing materials as well as phone trees in our phone system auto-attendant. The platform is very user-friendly and does not require any extensive training for users to be up-and-running quickly. **What do you dislike about WellSaid Studio?** Some of the punctuation timing takes trial and error. Thankfully WellSaid respects spaces, commas, and other punctuation very well to fine-tune the timing, it just takes a bit of trial-and-error to get the text sounding like a true human voice. **What problems is WellSaid Studio solving and how is that benefiting you?** Turn-around time for traditional voice actors can be untimely and expensive; WellSaid has significantly cut our costs and allowed our teams requiring voice capabilities to become more agile. ### 47.
