## Weld Reviews
 ### 1. Seamless ETL with Stellar Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Edward S. | Data Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Weld?**

I love using Weld for the full ETL process because its native connectors allow us to sync all the e-commerce connectors we need at minimal cost. I appreciate Weld's import and export API functionality, which helps in transforming and seamlessly loading data without spending time inside BigQuery. The full visibility of the pipeline inside one easy-to-use UI is great. I like how Weld's customer service is quick and never dismissive. The out-of-the-box templates for Shopify data were pivotal in establishing a source of truth for us. There is very little downtime and clear costing. I am impressed by the team's capability, as they implement major changes fast. They feel like a small team that truly cares about their product. Overall, nothing but good things to say about them.

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

Sometimes initial syncs of a new source can stall but upon raising a ticket they are resolved fast. The native AI doesn't have the best context. Developing full context for a native LLM should be on their product map.

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Weld for the full ETL process. It provides full visibility of the pipeline, synchronizes e-commerce connectors at minimal cost, and adapts quickly to changes, supporting growth by allowing easy data transformation and seamless loading without spending time in BigQuery.

 ### 2. Easy Connector Setup and Great Value

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lucas T. | Head of Finance, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Weld?**

Ease of setting up connectors, the amount of connectors are solid, especially for the price, especially for nordic companies often needing connector for e-conomic, which is not offered by many alternatives. The data modeling UI is pretty nice as well.

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

Some quality of life things in the data modeling UI could be better. The auto fill function is good, but not perfect. Permissions would be nice as well. For now all users in Weld have access to all data sources and all views and tables.

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Connecting all of my applications into a centralized data warehouse. CRM, ERP, Product data, Marketing data, etc.

 ### 3. Easy to Get Up and Running Without Deep Platform Knowledge

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel A. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Weld?**

Very easy to get up and running without needing in-depth knowledge of the platform

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

Only thing that could be better, is faster sync from Google sheets

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps our ETL process by going from raw data to structured data in DWH

 ### 4. Powerful, Flexible, and Great Value – A Must-Have for Data Engineers

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Scott D. | Conversion Copywriter & Conversion Rate Optimiser, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Weld?**

I've been using Weld for over 18 months and consistently recommend it to all my clients. As a data engineer, what stands out most is the ability to code transformations directly rather than being limited by a drag-and-drop interface. This makes Weld a serious tool for technical users who prefer flexibility and control over their data workflows.

Weld is incredibly reliable — once it's set up, it just works. I trust it to run consistently and without issue. On top of that, the pricing is excellent, especially compared to some of the bigger players in the space that charge a premium for features I don’t need.

If you're technical and value performance, transparency, and affordability, Weld is a no-brainer.

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

Honestly, there’s not much I dislike. If I had to nitpick, the UI isn’t as polished as some of the more mainstream tools — but that’s a trade-off I’m happy to make for the flexibility and performance Weld offers. It’s clearly built for technical users, so this won’t be an issue if you're comfortable with code.

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Weld gives me a reliable and scalable way to extract data from various APIs and centralize it in a clean, well-structured data warehouse. It eliminates the need for custom ingestion scripts or fragile third-party tools, and just works. This consistency means I can spend more time analyzing and building — and less time debugging broken pipelines.

 ### 5. Straightforward Data Management at your Fingertips

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tom C. | Co-Founder and Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 02, 2025

**What do you like best about Weld?**

Having a catalogue of native connectors and the ability to build custom connectors makes centralised data management simple. A clean modelling interface with the flexibility to meet client expectations and drive reporting assets, Weld has made our life of managing client data in a secure way straightforward. I would highly recommend Weld to those looking for a cost-effective platform to integrate multiple data sources for deriving insights. Finally, the weld.app team are extremely helpful! Our customer service manager and the sales team are always responsive, informed, and always assist us to maximise our use of weld.app

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

For how we use weld.app, there is no real downside. It meets all our expectations, is easy to integrate into other tools, including all popular BI tools, and data pipelines can be managed automatically. The only thing we dislike about weld.app is that it doesn't have more native connectors! But even the native connector catalogue is expanding at pace.

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Primarily, weld solves the problem of not having a single source of truth view of company data. With the ease of integration and then the capability to leverage AI to build data models, creating a reliable single source of truth has become a breeze.

 ### 6. Great product and nice team!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dennis R. | Founder / Data Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Weld?**

I like that the platform is very much plug'n'play, it took me literally no time to go from nothing to a data warehouse using WELD. Coming from a technical background, where I am used to working with SQL and Python, it makes the transition seamless. The setup using the pre-build connectors just works, the embedded SQL editor makes it easy to work with tools you already know, and the serving to the warehouse is a breeze.

As for the Python thing, that comes in handy with the custom connector, as I had to built one such connector, but that was also very straight forward.

The team responds quickly to support tickets, more often than not I could have found it in the documentation if I had looked good enough.

So in short, a great platform working seamlessly with known techniques and battle tested tools.

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

I wont say I really dislike anything, they could of course have more connectors, but that will always be the case I guess.

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I need to build data warehouses for my clients, this is easily solved using WELD.

 ### 7. Quickest way of going from nothing to a strong BI setup

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kristoffer S. | CCO & Partner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Weld?**

I really like how easy the platform is to use and how everything is consolidated in one platform. We have used dbt Cloud and Fivetran in the past, but after moving to Weld, it became clear very quickly that our BI operation would be much more smooth in Weld and save a ton of time for the team. Also, we were able to bring down our total costs at the same time. The price is very competitive.

In general, the platform has been very easy to implement, integrate, and use. The customer support has been nothing but amazing. After just a few weeks, the team is using Weld every day and the software has started to add significant value to the organisation.

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

Would love to see a stronger documentation option in the future as well as model testing. Two features that might have been overkill for our team size, but still enjoyed in dbt Cloud.

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Weld is connecting all client data and internal data in one system. Allowing for quick and easy modelling and orchestration. The time from raw data to dashboard is very short.

 ### 8. Weld saves us so much time!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lucy A. | Data analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 26, 2025

**What do you like best about Weld?**

The tool is very easy to use, and saves us so much time

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

More connectors would be appreciated to help us

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Weld has helped to save us hours of time with data ingestion and execution of the reverse ETL. The uI is so easy to navigate.

 ### 9. Always-Evolving Platform with Strong Customer Service

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Weld?**

An always-evolving platform with strong customer service.

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

I don’t have any complaints about Weld or the way it’s structured.

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Weld gives me a strong data warehouse fit for solving exactly my company's problems.

 ### 10. Makes data centralization effortless with smart AI tools

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Johannes R. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 10, 2025

**What do you like best about Weld?**

Weld makes it incredibly easy to stitch together data from various sources - databases, Google Sheets, and more. One of the standout features is its support for BigQuery, which means all our data lives in our own warehouse. The AI assistant (Ed) has been really good since the beginning and has been improved even more in the past few months, making it super straightforward to migrate logic from Google Sheets functions without manual effort. Also, their support is great - really knowledgeable and responsive.

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

We've occasionally had issues with Google Sheets integrations breaking - likely more of a Sheets issue than Weld's, but still a bit frustrating. Also, pricing has increased recently. While it’s still a solid offer for what you get, it does make us think more carefully about usage.

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Weld helps us centralize all our business data in one place, which used to be fragmented across tools like Google Sheets, CRMs, and databases. This has massively improved our reporting and decision-making since we now have a single source of truth. It also saves our team tons of manual work—especially thanks to Ed, their AI assistant, which makes migrating existing spreadsheet logic seamless. Overall, Weld enables us to move faster and with more confidence in our data.

 ### 11. AI supported ETL, great for CTO as well as data engineers

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospitality | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Weld?**

AI tool saves so much time for more complex scenarios. It understands relationships between internal objects as well as external, so natural language is a great starting point for more complex business requirements.

Easy to set up, can be up and running with either weld's in-platform, or connect to your own warehouse such as BigQuery. Customer support is fast and helpful, rarely escalated. Simple to dive in for quick queries as well as for role-specific work for data engineers/specialists.

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

Costs limited per connector. Can become unwieldy if you want to harness multiple data sources as a startup.

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Producing internal reports in a DRY fashion through linked subsets. Easy to spin up or grab data with a quick turnaround.

 ### 12. Makes extracting data easy!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shanil L. | Freelance Data Engineer and Analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Weld?**

- A wide number of connectors that are well maintained and structured cleanly
- Great customer support that are on hand
- Very easy to use and connect data sources
- Orchestration and scheduling is easy to set up

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

- Documentation in places could be a bit more thorough
- Some connectors missing which would be good to have like Recharge (even though there's a community one)
- It's not the easiest to spot if there's issues within data extraction

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helps us extract data from a wide variety of ecommerce platforms like Shopify. We can then build models out with their transform feature and reverse etl these into any dashboards.

 ### 13. Amazing team, amazing software.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Will P. | Co-Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Weld?**

The team went so far out of their way to accommodate my use case. They by far have the best support I have ever experienced with a company of the likes. They helped me get my entire pipeline set up easily, and even added a feature just to make my life easier.

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

I wish multiple destinations were on a lower plan

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They get all of my data from marketing platforms and CRM's in one place

 ### 14. Weld Makes Cross-Platform Attribution Analysis Effortless

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Weld?**

Weld is an impressive tool that streamlines the complex task of data integration and analysis. What sets it apart is its ability to connect and blend data from multiple sources, including Salesforce and Google Ads, into a single queryable view. It uses AI-assisted natural language processing to convert plain English into SQL queries, which is especially helpful for non-technical users or consultants who want to move quickly from question to insight.

One of the biggest advantages for us is Weld’s native Salesforce support. We can now join Salesforce data, like revenue from opportunities, to external sources like ad spend from Google. This enables return-on-ad-spend (ROAS) analysis that was previously too cumbersome or fragmented to build accurately. This kind of attribution modeling is incredibly difficult with standard tools, and Weld simplifies the process without needing a full data engineering team.

It also plays very nicely with platforms like Google BigQuery, Tableau, and Metabase, making it easy to visualise and interpret results in the tools our stakeholders already use.

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

There are no major issues with Weld, but it’s worth noting that connection stability sometimes requires a nudge. In our experience, this tends to be more of a problem with the data sources than with Weld itself. Once set up, it generally runs smoothly and reliably.

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Weld helps us connect data from Salesforce, Google Ads, and other sources to build accurate reports. It lets us use natural language to create queries and analyse the results in tools like BigQuery and Tableau. This makes it much easier to track our clients' return on ad spend and campaign performance. We save time, avoid manual work, and get faster insights for better decisions.

 ### 15. Plug and play data ingestor

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** August H. | Lead Analytics Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Weld?**

This is my second company where we've decided to use weld. We went from Fivetran saved 40% on a monthly basis while seven-folding our active rows. Alos, if you ahve an issue, either Weld solves it before you notice there is an issue or they responed with lightning speed when you create a ticket.

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

Not as many connectors as Fivetran, of course. However, in the end we were able to 95 % of our connectorss with Weld.

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's so easy to connect and fetch data from different platforms. We don't need to create a signer tap and deploy to our own services.

 ### 16. Data integration and warehousing made easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Laurence W. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 20, 2024

**What do you like best about Weld?**

Weld really simplifies data integration and warehousing. It’s straightforward to set up data sources, and it's a great platform for building out the data warehouse. On top of that, connecting to visualization tools and pushing data back out through reverse ETL is seamless, making it a well-rounded solution.

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

There aren’t many downsides to Weld, but if I had to point out a couple of things, the UI can be a bit glitchy occasionally (e.g., the code editor tabs). Also, the AI integration isn’t quite at the same level as tools like copilot or cursor yet. But really, these are small drawbacks in an otherwise great product.

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Weld has made it incredibly easy to bring together data from multiple sources, which used to be a time-consuming and manual process. By simplifying data integration and warehousing, it’s allowed us to centralize all our data efficiently, providing a single source of truth.

 ### 17. A crucial tool in helping us deliver insights fast

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jonathan K. | Data Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 20, 2024

**What do you like best about Weld?**

The time needed from request or idea to output is shortened tremendously by being able to easily combine data inside Weld.
They are very understanding and are quick to reply when we have questions.
We use it almost every day and it is a very crucial help to allow our data to be combined and enriched in basically any way possible

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

Sometimes tracking how properties evolve through queries can be a big struggle and it increases debugging time within our complex queries

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having to manage APIs to all our tools would require an FTE and this can be saved with the help of Weld. Being able to get an idea and get started working on something within minutes helps us investigate our data in a multitude of ways despite limited resources and with little time investestment

 ### 18. Great tool with best in class connectivity

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 17, 2024

**What do you like best about Weld?**

The out-of-the-box connectors to common cloud based software solutions are great and the ease of implemenation is awesome. Time to data and time results drastically decreases compared to any other approach. The ability to use own BigQuery databases is great. Customer support in case of (very few) issues was good.

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

A bit more focus on structuring and usability of complex data structures would be great. Especially if the goal is to build a layered datawarehouse this would be helpful.

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

So far we had to build own integrations with all different cloud systems we and our customers use. This was a lot of time and effort spend, especially for customers with a lot of different systems. Weld ist covering most of this out of the box and also provides custom connectors for any connection not covered.

 ### 19. Incredible data sync & data orchestration tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeremias H. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 13, 2024

**What do you like best about Weld?**

Easily set up connections to Microsoft Business Central, Google Big Query, Excel, Google sheets and much more with the click of a button. Weld has made an amazing job in setting up integrations to a large set of application and cloud platforms, which makes it super easy to set up connections and start gathering, managing and exploring large sets of data. Exploring the data is very intuitive and user-friendly with an AI query generator and SQL-like grammar. You can easily create views, tables and data models with data from completely different sources.

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

It seems like there is no possibility as of now to sync data to MongoDb. You can get data from MongoDB but not insert data.

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Previously, I spent countless hours writing custom ETL scripts to aggregate data from various sources for ML models. Now, I can quickly connect to my customers data sources, transform the data, and create consistent training datasets with minimal code.

The visual interface helps to quickly validate data quality and identify potential issues before they affect model training.
By centralizing data operations, you can better track which datasets were used for different model versions and ensure reproducibility.

These capabilities have reduced the data preparation time by approximately 60%, allowing me to focus more on model development and optimization rather than data engineering tasks.

 ### 20. Improved Data Foundation in a Few Clicks

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Biotechnology | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Weld?**

Weld is extremely easy to use. I am able to save so many hours a week by using Weld to automate the fetching and maintenance of data sources. I also love their AI Agent to help me find an error in my code.

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

More connectors would be great, but I can already get most I need.

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Time! Data maintenance is an extremely picky process, that takes up too much of my time.

 ### 21. Easy to setup and game-changer AI assistant

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 28, 2024

**What do you like best about Weld?**

I love how easy it is to setup, and that they offer 'managed BigQuery' so you don't have to have our own BigQuery account. The game-changer is their AI assistant which you can use to write SQL statements from scratch accustomed to your data tables. Lastly, their customer support is the best - had to reach out due to a sync problem, and they resolved it for me in 10 minutes. Thanks, Chloe!

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

The limit of 4 connectors for their basic plan can be a bit restrictive. Granted you can upgrade for a higher limit, I feel this needs to be higher.

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automated extraction of data, and connecting it to different tools based on our own set of conditions

 ### 22. A cost effective and highly productive tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dale K. | CTO, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 08, 2024

**What do you like best about Weld?**

Weld is an incredibly effective tool because it combines product simplicity with AI tooling. Weld is one of three platforms that make up our business intelligence suite, and it's never the bottleneck in getting stuff done.

Onboarding team members onto Weld takes no time at all.

The AI tooling has the full context of your data structure, which makes prompts easy to write and the results high-quality. This feature speeds up our model-building significantly.

Finally, being able to view the lineage and dependencies of models makes change management easier.

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

We would love to have some more advanced functionality around orchestration. In some scenarios, we would like a model to have scheduled daily rules (e.g., incremental sync) and scheduled monthly rules (e.g., full table sync). In our setup, triggering the full table monthly sync requires manual action. This action takes less than a minute but is manual nonetheless.

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Firstly, in reliably extracting data from multiple sources. Then in model building.

We can lean on well written models (helped by AI), model tests, and reliable orchestation management to have piece of mind that our data is being processed as intended every day.

**Official Response from Carolina Russ:**

> Thanks for the great feedback! ❤️ We’re glad Weld’s AI and simplicity are helping speed up your model-building and make onboarding smooth.

We hear you on the orchestration features and will definitely keep that in mind as we continue improving Weld. 🚀

 ### 23. Intuitive data warehousing with great customer support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 20, 2024

**What do you like best about Weld?**

With Weld, we can easily gather and manage all our data from across the business, explore and create insights across departments, and activate these insights with rETLs and reporting tools. The platform is intuitive to use, and both AI support, customer service, and their continuous development are very helpful to get us through any technical challenges.

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

The technical documentation could slightly more detailed to avoid relying on customer service, and we have a few tools that don't have a direct connector to Weld yet, but this has so far been solvable with 3rd party tools.

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Weld is making it possible for us to keep all critical data operations in one place, making it much easier to manage the data and grow the data infrastructure with the business.

 ### 24. All-in-one solution that actually works

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Giovanni G. | Analytics Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 22, 2024

**What do you like best about Weld?**

Weld provides not only a huge selection of connectors, but also a clever custom-connector cloud function-based approach which makes the tool very flexible and easily adaptable to any needs. Moreover, the implementation is quite straightforward, and the customer support is great.

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

The downside of Weld is there is no API to directly interact with the tool nor download your data. As a consequence, all of the models/orchestration you make in the platform stays locked there. Besides that, there is no way to connect Weld to dbt or Airbyte, for example. However, it's fair to mention they're planning to change that soon.

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Weld is an all-in-one solution. It handles ingestion, transformation, and loading. This makes everything easier when compared to stitching a bunch of tools together.

**Official Response from Carolina Russ:**

> Thanks so much for the kind words! We’re so glad Weld is meeting your needs. The API is in the works, so keep an eye out! 😊

 ### 25. Data ingestion and modelling made easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emilio B. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 28, 2024

**What do you like best about Weld?**

As a consultant analytics engineer, I frequently use Weld for our clients. I appreciate how easy it is to integrate the modern data stack with this end-to-end solution. The data governance features are of great help. The data lineage in the SQL editor simplifies organisation and onboarding for new users. The custom connector enables us to ingest data from sources Weld doesn't have a direct connector from, making the tool even more adaptable.

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

Weld has a wide range of connectors, and their engineering team strives to develop more each month. When I don't have a direct connector, I might be a bit frustrated at first but their custom connector solves this problem for the time being.

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I usually deal with customers who do not have any modern data stack infrastructure. Thanks to Weld's managed BigQuery data warehouse, I can quickly access the benefits of data warehouses without the hassle. I set up connectors in minutes and start modeling data, all within one tool. It has greatly sped up our processes, and our clients are much happier with the speed of delivery.

**What do you like best about Weld?**

Seamless user interface, clear options for connecitng data sources. And the fact that it offers a BigQuery implementation is awesome.
Customer services has been amazingly responsive and thoughtful.

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

They're still working on building out some connectors, so there are some for which I still need to use an alternate 3rd party tool.

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bringing in Hubspot data, including custom objects and events, into BigQuery.

**Official Response from Carolina Russ:**

> Thank you for the wonderful feedback! 🌟 We're so glad Weld is making it easier for you to bring HubSpot data into BigQuery and that our support team has been helpful along the way. We’re actively working on adding more connectors and appreciate your patience as we build out those options.

**What do you like best about Weld?**

The availability of connectors and the SQL ai support.
I save a lot of time building queries.
Access to the table schema is also very accessable making the query builiding even more effecient.

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

Its missing a direct connector to Tableau which causes a problem in my workflow.
I would also recommend a pricing tier for independant consultants and the pricing because prohibiative.

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

12hrly sync of Shopfy, Klayvio, Meta and GA data for fashion ecommerce clients.

**Reviewed Date:** September 23, 2024

**What do you like best about Weld?**

The simplicity and variety of connectors is great. Also the AI help ED is the best.

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

There is not much. Maybe it is possible to test out connectors, but I believe they are working on that.

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Get a general overview of my performance of PPC channels which contains Google Ads & Amazon Ads.

**Official Response from Carolina Russ:**

> Thank you so much for the kind words! We’re happy to hear that ED is a great help. 😊

 ### 29. Great Platform and Customer Service Team

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 28, 2024

**What do you like best about Weld?**

The platform as a whole is pretty intuitive to use. The AI features allow non-technical members of our teams to write SQL Queries. Overall, it has accomplished what we are looking for--compiling all of our various platform's data into one data warehouse. I would say that their customer service team is a huge differentiator. There were multiple times through the process where we needed some extra hand holding. Chloe, from their support team, was extremely helpful and got us what we needed to make the decision on Weld and sign up for the full version. Great platform.

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

I would love it if their native data warehouse could connect with BI tools. However, they have clear instructions on migrating the native data warehouse to one of your own, which made the switch easy.

I think it future developements, it would be great to be able to use their natvie warehouse for our BI tools.

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have been either using native reporting in our current platforms or exporting data to run analytics. Weld allows us to get all of our data into one place, so that we can run analytics on it and integrate data from multiple sources.

 ### 30. Efficient and Affordable Marketing Analytics with Weld

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rohan D. | Digital Project Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 06, 2023

**What do you like best about Weld?**

As a Digital Marketing Manager, I appreciate Weld's robust capabilities in delivering nearly real-time "New Customer CPA" data based on ad spends across multiple platforms like Facebook, Google, Pinterest, and Amazon Ads. The hourly updates on my plan keep me informed and help me make timely decisions. The pricing is also a significant advantage, offering competitive rates compared to other platforms like SuperMetrics.

Moreover, Weld's team deserves a mention for their supportiveness in resolving any glitches or challenges I've come across. The use of GPT 4 Powered Chatbot for assisting with SQL code needed to pull data from various sources is a useful feature which makes it easier, although some technical aptitude is still needed.

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

While there's much to like about Weld, the slower response from their support team at times can be a bit of a letdown. I understand that this could be due to them being a relatively new player in the market and possibly still adjusting to the demand. Nonetheless, quicker support response times would significantly enhance the overall user experience.

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping me see performance of our ecommerce stores in close to real time with less manual data entry.

 ### 31. Great platform + great team.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Annie E. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 19, 2024

**What do you like best about Weld?**

Weld is an easy product to use for a non technical or a pseudo technical user. The team makes it easy to learn how to use the chat bot to add the code and how to learn the platform.

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

Nothing! Weld is awesome and so is the team.

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Business Intelligence - as the CEO, I want the granular data for my business so I can make key decisions.

 ### 32. Great ETL solution for data integration and centralization

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gabriel M. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 26, 2023

**What do you like best about Weld?**

We have implemented Weld for ETL and integration purposes and our experience has been very positive. It has allowed us to automate tasks and processes in record time and save tons of time in manual and tedious processes. It is very easy to set up and the integration with different data sources is just a few clicks and intuitive.

The environment is easy to use and the GPT SQL is a game changer for generating a skeleton of the queries or even whole queries by itself. Debugging is easier and we do not have to spend too much time on it as the AI can evaluate the model and error and suggest solutions.

The customer support has been fast and on point, any issue we have they can tackle it quickly and fix it, and Chloe has been super supportive and helpful throughout the entire process.

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

We believe Weld is an incredible tool. The only entrance barrier is the need to know SQL, however, Weld offers their own SQL learning resources, SQL query templates, and SQL AI bot helper that can ease the learning curve.

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Weld as a data platform to connect our different data sources together into our data warehouse to centralize it and make it more accessible to different teams. We also use it to perform different ETL transformations and analyses that help us provide insights to better understand our business and define business metrics and goals.

 ### 33. For us, Weld is the concrete foundation for building our data construction on top

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jonathan B. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 06, 2023

**What do you like best about Weld?**

With Weld's mix of both ETL and reverse ETL, I get to mix-and-match my toolstack the way I want it to.
I get to set it up with no engineering support at all, whilst the platform is extensible enough that once we're ready to hire data analysts/data engineers, our data is in one place and organised beyond what any other employer has.
Weld's pre-built integrations makes it super easy to plug it all in to our data warehouse, and their support is fast and effictive.

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

I'd really like to see better permissioning for users in the platform (e.g. different users can access different models and build models only with the models they can access), and I'd also like a better way to do custom connectors without having to host the custom connector on my side.

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Weld is giving us the capabilities of a data engineer, already long before we have the capacity to hire one. This means we can bring on analysts earlier instead, who have access to all data directly on one place, without having to wait around for us building pipelines. The pricing is very fair at our small scale.

 ### 34. Brilliant ETL/R-ETL tool for startups!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stephane D. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 03, 2023

**What do you like best about Weld?**

The effortless process of connecting to and from various data sources, that allows us to serve the whole organization from Engineering/Product (e.g. Postgres) to Operations (e.g. Salesforce) with enriched data.
The communication with Weld's support has always been easy and resolution time is fast, which is key for our business that relies heavily on having clean and up to date data.

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

Weld is consistently delivering new features (which is great!) but sometimes the UI can be a bit tricky to follow up with (change of place or names of features)

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Offering both ETL and reverse ETL capabilities for a variety of sources, Weld significantly reduces time and effort we would otherwise have to invest in these data platform tasks.
This translates into substantial time and cost savings for our team, allowing us to focus on insights generation and other aspects of our operations.

 ### 35. Great product and service

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Manufacturing | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 06, 2024

**What do you like best about Weld?**

The ease of use, excellent documentation, templates for major SaaS platforms, and the integrated AI assistance. The Customer support is responsive and thorough. Implementation was easy and straightforward with a little bit of technical experience. I am building the Data warehouse and am using it 1-3x / week but expect to use Weld daily as I finish my queries.

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

I'd like more integretions or at least a roadmap of planned integrations. A more frequent blog / newsletter would be appreciated as well.

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Weld is connecting all of my data sources for a great price. I connect Salesforce, Quickbooks, Marketing Platforms and Analytics, and Shopify. I'm able to create a full Customer Journey w/ in-depth visibility.

 ### 36. Really great value ETL/ELT/Warehousing Tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rory B. | Director of Growth, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 26, 2023

**What do you like best about Weld?**

Weld has a really wide range of available ETL and ELT integrations that are not paywalled behind higher-cost account levels, making it perfect for data-driven scale-ups who are poorly served by incumbant enterprise services. The setup is straightforward for users of existing cloud data warehouses. They also have built-in warehouses, if you're just getting started and have no data warehouse at all, making it great for new businesses too. The integrations and orchestration, on the whole, work well and the support is very efficient.

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

There have been a limited number of outages and bugs, I believe Weld themselves are a fairly young company, but they have always been dealt with quickly and communciation has been clear.

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Orchestrating the ETL-ing data from e-commerce and marketing platforms and Reverse-ETL-ing data into marketing platforms.

 ### 37. Amazing time to value

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2023

**What do you like best about Weld?**

Weld.app is a game-changer when it comes to ETL tools, delivering impressive results in record time. From my perspective, its standout feature is the incredibly short time it takes to achieve value. With its user-friendly interface and powerful capabilities, you quickly harness the tool's potential to extract, transform, and load data effortlessly. Weld.app allowed us to expedite our client's data integration and transformation processes, delivering valuable insights within a fraction of the time it would normally take. For anyone seeking quick, efficient, and impactful ETL solutions, Weld.app is an absolute must-try.

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

Currently the barrier to entry is still high as SQL skills are required. Even though Weld is offering the GPT powered SQL assitant it still requires basic SQL knowledge.

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Since we are using it as a Consultancy we are solving a wide variety of business problems with Weld. The big advantages are the time to value and the possibility to build a proper data warehouse in Weld.

 ### 38. Weld.app: A Game-Changer for Enterprise Client Solutions!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christoffer T. | Head of Tech Strategists, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 16, 2023

**What do you like best about Weld?**

What I like best about Weld is its user-friendly interface combined with its powerful capabilities, catering perfectly to our enterprise clients. It seamlessly bridges the gap between complex functionalities and ease of use, ensuring that our projects are both efficient and intuitive. The adaptability of Weld makes it an invaluable tool, enabling us to tailor solutions to diverse client requirements effortlessly.

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

Cannot find anything. If the tool is missing something the great team are there to fix it or add the feature to the tool.

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Weld addresses the challenge of streamlining intricate enterprise processes into an intuitive platform. It eliminates the need for multiple tools by offering a comprehensive solution, thereby reducing system complexities. For us, this means quicker deployment times, more efficient project management, and reduced training requirements, leading to time and cost savings. Weld's adaptability ensures that we can customize solutions for diverse client needs, enhancing our service quality and client satisfaction.

 ### 39. I love working with Weld

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Trine S. | Data Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2023

**What do you like best about Weld?**

Its super easy to implement, use and maintain later on. I use it in my daily work and I enjoy not having to switch between several tools, but having the whole ETL and reverse-ETL capacity in one tool.

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

Sometimes documentation is lacking, but customer support is great so I get my questions answered quickly anyways.

I can see that Weld's documentation is improving, so I don't expect this "dislike" to last for long.

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Welds makes it a lot easier to be a "one-(wo)man-data-army". It is easy to use, does the hard data engineering work for me, and hence enables me to deliver value quickly. I don't have to worry about when e.g. Facebook will make some changes to their API, as Weld takes care of that for me.

 ### 40. Super easy to use and very flexible

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kristiaan K. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 05, 2023

**What do you like best about Weld?**

- the AI assistent is great since i'm not a experienced developer
- the interface looks clean and it is nice to work in
- it is very easy to setup a connector and integrate with the Amazon Seller Central
- if I cannot find anything, the support is great

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

To be perfectly honest, I don't miss anything in Weld. Maybe there could be another cheaper entry-level model to experiment with as a hobbyist.

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Combining Amazon Seller Central (including Amazon Ads) and Google sheets and get it together in a Google Looker dashboard.

 ### 41. XnGen <> Weld

**What do you like best about Weld?**

having the Simplicity of Data Collection

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

It would be helpful to have the API to keep our customers in our ecosystem

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Simplifying data collection

**Official Response from Carolina Russ:**

 ### 42. Fantastic data platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Benni B. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 26, 2023

**What do you like best about Weld?**

Weld seemlessly integrates with most commercial data platform, as well as standard ecommerce platforms such as shopify and klaviyo. I've been using it for just under a year and I truly love it! Also, super helpful support staff that get to your questions and comments quickly and efficiently!

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

I've encountered very few things I dislike about weld. I've had a couple of technical issues with it, but everytime such an issue crops up the support and technical teams at weld are very quick to jump on it and get it fixed.

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Weld is quickly becoming our central data platform that connects all our different databases and warehouses together. It allows us to collect all our data in a single warehouse (we're using bigquery) from multiple different sources (klaviyo, shopify, postgres databases, tracking data etc) in a very simple and effective way. It also connects with out dashboarding platform to allow for automatically up to date dashboards for our marketing and strategy teams to use. As a data professional, I absolutely love this solution.

 ### 43. Weld greatly simplifies our datawarehouse processes

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andreas P. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 03, 2023

**What do you like best about Weld?**

The platform is super easy-to-use and the pricing/cost structure simple and transparent. In addition, their (customer) service is attentive, fast and friendly. It is also cool they do reverse-ETL and has a nice data lineage feature although we do not use it much at the moment.

Lastly, the implementation of the tool is incredibly fast.

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

Minor, yet substantial improvements, can be made in improving their sync method availabilities. Make the cost structure, i.e. billable rows, more granular, i.e. on a daily level. Add more connections (in all fairness, Weld is a young company and their progression on # connections has been great thus far).

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Data pipeline management and data extraction, primarily ETL.

 ### 44. Keeps it flowing

 ### 45. Perfect software choice for ETL handling

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Thomas E. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 19, 2023

**What do you like best about Weld?**

Weld is an incredible flexible software making it easy to use and adapt to our business case. Meanwhile it's a bit more technical than what we else considered i find weld incredibly easy to use.
They have most of the data sources we were looking for and offer an easy to use SQL enviroment with guides and AI-assistent making it a quick process to write the nessecary codes.
We are very happy wirth our choice
- Great customer support and fair prices

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

It takes a little bit of extra time to get familiar with but again, the results more than enough weighs up for this.

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With Weld we have connected all of our platforms allowing us to spend more time on analysis rather than data transformation

 ### 46. Client Data Extraction through Weld: A Specialist's Perspective

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mahdi R. | Data Specialist, Marketing and Advertising, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 15, 2023

**What do you like best about Weld?**

I recently had the opportunity to dive into the world of data extraction using Weld's ELT platform, and I must say, the experience has been nothing short of impressive. Weld not only simplifies the process of data extraction but also equips users with a comprehensive suite of tools for scaling operations and cost monitoring.

One of the standout features of Weld is its exceptional user-friendliness. The entire process of setting up the data extraction pipeline using the Shopify connector was remarkably straightforward. It's evident that Weld's developers put a lot of thought into creating an intuitive user experience.

The documentation provided by Weld is Clear, concise, and well-structured. The documentation ensures that clients are never left in the dark. It served as a valuable resource as I set up my data extraction workflow and provided relevant information in terms of data security, which are important information for our clients. In addition, whenever I encountered a hurdle or had a query, Weld's support team was quick to respond. Their expertise and willingness to assist turned what could have been a roadblock into a mere hiccup (Shouts out Jakob and Chloe!).

Weld's scalability capabilities are another highlight of the platform. As someone who works across different clients, I appreciate the ease with which Weld allows me to scale up my operations. Using workspaces, we have been able to efficiently segregate data extraction pipelines, ensuring data integrity and simplifying project management across multiple clients.

Furthermore, the platform provides robust cost monitoring in terms of amount of rows synced. Being able to keep a close eye on the resources being utilised and the associated costs empowers users to make informed decisions about their ELT processes.

In conclusion, my experience with Weld's ELT platform, particularly through the Shopify and MS SQL connector, has been overwhelmingly positive. From its user-friendly interface and well-structured documentation to its outstanding support team and robust scalability and cost monitoring features, Weld truly stands out as a top-tier ELT solution.

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

Enhancing Weld's cost monitoring could involve displaying the daily count of synced rows instead of monthly aggregates. This shift in approach would provide users with a more detailed understanding of data usage patterns, enabling more precise cost tracking and optimization. By offering a daily breakdown, Weld would empower users to align their extraction activities closely with budget considerations.

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Weld efficiently addresses the challenge of data extraction across multiple clients by providing intuitive workspaces that segregate projects. This benefits me by ensuring data accuracy, facilitating seamless project management, and promoting team collaboration

 ### 47. It's a great solution for "welding" data sources together.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 25, 2023

**What do you like best about Weld?**

What I value most about Weld is its outstanding capability to seamlessly link various data sources together. This process is made even more remarkable by its user-friendly interface, which ensures that connecting data feels intuitive and hassle-free. The name 'Weld' itself is a testament to its core strength: effortlessly 'welding' data together.

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

I would appreciate more detailed documentation regarding the creation of a custom connector.

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Weld effectively addresses the challenges of managing and integrating data from diverse sources. Before using Weld, I relied on a combination of spreadsheets, MySQL, and Supermetrics, which could be cumbersome and inefficient. With Weld, I've found a streamlined solution that offers an easy-to-use interface for "welding" these data sources together. This has been particularly beneficial for dashboarding. The additional flexibility of building custom integrations further enhances its utility, making it a comprehensive tool for my data management needs.

 ### 48. Early days for us, but so far - transformative and reliable!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael H. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 23, 2023

**What do you like best about Weld?**

Initially, it was the honest, non-salesy nature of the conversation. Weld genuinely seemed more interested in our requirements than trying to 'make a sale', which appealed to us - they strike that delicate balance so well - humble, but very professional; it felt like a super cultural fit.

And then when we saw the product - wow! The website, the interface, the user experience, the people - everything seems to have been built and considered so carefully. The SQL element may not be for everyone, especially for customers without full-time analysts, but the introduction of the AI feature is such a great addition that Weld is now an excellent product for data and non-data people alike.

Having now been with Weld for a couple of months, another great strength is their flexibility and willingness to look at solutions to fix problems. Chloe, in particular, has been amazing in helping us to achieve our goal of working with our data from a single source of truth.

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

It's hard to be critical so far, but as a data analyst myself, it might be nice to have had more hands-on experience in sessions with engineers, or get 'under the hood' a bit more. Also, for us, it would have been a more straightforward decision in the first place if Weld had had existing connectors for more of our data providers.

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Weld have built the API connections that allow us to bring data from multiple sources and systems into one single source. This means we can not only access our data more easily and frequently, but also build in multiple datasets from multiple systems. One for us, for example - our merchandise products are sold across three different channels - online, via Deliveroo, and in person at the restaurants. Weld has been perfect for us in glueing these three data sets together to produce one single report tracking merch sales.

Also, we have been able to build the SQL queries into our PowerBI reporting which means we now have our company performance reports refreshing on a schedule without the need for any human intervention. So powerful! And an enormous time-saver!

 ### 49. Great, thought-through and simple to understand product.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andreas Tofte B. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2023

**What do you like best about Weld?**

I have been very happy in working with Weld. It's a product that by nature requires sometime to get-to-know, as the use cases are quite complex, but Weld makes it easy.

The Weld'ers (employees at Weld) do a very good job at trying to help out as much as possible, when reaching out to them with a general question or a specific case issue.

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

Many other people have mentioned the change in business model, which have meant a change to their availability on different channels and reoccurring replacement of the business representatives assigned to your company.

I know this is part of the game, and they are not to blame.

One thing I could miss as a small start-up, would maybe be some general guides to different business metrics. As a small business, many of these are not set in stone yet, and as there's a great difference between tech and business definitions, this might be the bottleneck issues for many of our smaller customers.

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Weld is a great way to connect multiple data sources, making them useful combined. This makes the whole difference trying to get to know your business. We have gained a better insight into various business metrics.

 ### 50. Creating a data infrastructure with Weld was easy-peasy 🍋

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yana Y. | Talent Partner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 17, 2023

**What do you like best about Weld?**

When we started with Weld, we barely had anything in place related to data. The intuitive interface and the dream team at Weld helped us not only create a first iteration of our data infractructure but also boost the data knowledge within our team.

What helped a lot were the connectors that allowed us to easily link our existant data sources, but also the custom connector option, which helped connect our internally developed software as well. Using Weld to create models and then visalise them allowed for my team to become more data-driven, make better strategic decisions and track progress along the jounerney.

**What do you dislike about Weld?**

The only thing we somewhat miss is having a Weld representative assigned to us as an account. Nonetheless, I know the business model changed and I’m hapyp to be part of the Weld Slack channel and community now!

**What problems is Weld solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Weld helps us consolidate and combine data from diverse sources such as Hubspot, LinkedIn, G-Suite, and different ATS system into a single database. Everything on the platform is structured and it is very inuitively designed for our analyst to use it. By using Weld, we end up having a single source of truth when building data models and visualising various metrics later. Through the centralization of data, our internal reporting process has greatly improved and the team generally became more data-driven.

Additionally, Weld contributes in educating our team on data-related topics through the rich library of articles on their website and their SQL course.
