It made looking at outlets very easy and I'm sure had even more tools to help manage who we contacted already for stories but I didn't take advantage of that. I mostly just used it to run search queries for the news outlets or journalists I needed to contact. **What do you like best about Vocus Communications?** It was super easy to get information on anyone you needed. The information was clear and you usually didn't have to go digging beyond the regular search query that you searched for. it was nice to have everything from emails, phone numbers, to social pages all in one table. **What do you dislike about Vocus Communications?** The information wasn't always up-to-date like we needed. There's a lot of turnover in the journalism industry (especially when I was using Vocus) so I can understand how hard it would be to do so. But at the same time, if the information isn't up-to-date, then it's useless. I would say this only happened on a minority of queries that I would run, but it was enough for me to remember it being a problem. **Recommendations to others considering Vocus Communications:** I really don't know why you would need this unless you were in public relations or possibly journalism. **What problems is Vocus Communications solving and how is that benefiting you?** The biggest benefit was getting contact information for journalists that I could not find otherwise. The benefits were immense in that it helped me get a direct line to the people I needed to speak to the most. ### 2. Vocus is the Avis of this world - the #2 company. While their offerings and their quality have improved over time, they still just don't compare to Cision. **What do you like best about Vocus Communications?** The interface is visually appealing, and the suite of services offered if you purchase the highest tier are great. **What do you dislike about Vocus Communications?** The results - primarily for the media database - are just not as good as you find with other solutions. **Recommendations to others considering Vocus Communications:** Strongly consider whether this is the right solution for you. Give it a good, long test drive and make use of that time to build lists and view results. ### 3. To be honest, after the New Year, he switched to a different distributor but ended up going back to Vocus because of their user friendly platform and easy to comprehend feedback reports. I would highly recommend Vocus to any business with a niche product that wishes to present it to a wide variety of different industries. **What do you like best about Vocus Communications?** The user friendly platform and website. The membership price is worth it for the year. **What do you dislike about Vocus Communications?** I do not remember having a main contact if we ran into any problems or questions.But then again, I do not remember calling them for anything. It would be a nice touch if I had someone overseeing our account. **Recommendations to others considering Vocus Communications:** Its a great company for businesses starting out branching into Marketing and Public Relations. ### 4.
