Visual Lease makes handling IFRS 16 accounting much simpler. I really appreciate the variety of support options available, such as the VL University and the VL community. The platform is user-friendly and straightforward, making it easy not only for me to use but also to train other team members which is very helpful as we only use the system twice a year for reporting. There are very few downsides to using Visual Lease. One of them is that calculating a single lease under different scenarios can be somewhat limited. Additionally, the standards supported are restricted to those that are most commonly used. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Visual Lease helps to provide a one stop shop to house all information related to our various leases. We can maintain general information about the lease, log modifications as they occur, as well as capture all financial related activity. Visual Lease is then able to calculate the resulting journal entries that need to occur, which would be complicated to do on our own. We have gone through year end audits since implementing Visual Lease, and the auditors have been pleased with the results and reporting that has been produced by VL. I do not have any real dislikes about Visual Lease. At times, making updates may be a little complicated, but not because of the system, but rather because of one-off situations. It has really helped us organize all of our leases and streamline our processes. I love the ability to easily look up documents that have been uploaded, and the accounting side of the software has become a huge asset. I haven't used it enough to find any features I truly dislike. During set up it would've been easier to upload information through provided spreadsheets if they were a little more customizable. Integrating all of our files and information took longer than we would've originally liked, however, now that everything is in there it will be easy to manage going forward. I find Visual Lease to be fairly intuitive, which is important for keeping processes straightforward. It maintains a good record of GASB 87/96 transactions and how they are reached, providing a reliable backup for audit support. I think the one thing is understanding when a lease expires or is terminated, how to handle it? Because there seems to be multiple ways to do that, and understanding the consequences of each of those choices. I expect VL will make it clear with their customer service and documentation. I appreciate that Visual Lease provides a platform where I can save all lease-related information in one space. I really like being able to access and see all lease-related data on a single platform. I don't like the reporting function. It is not user-friendly or easy to use. I don't think the function works properly. It lags, does not do what it is supposed to, and you can't get custom reports. I like the easy way to add in leases in Visual Lease, which makes managing them straightforward. I also appreciate the alert feature that lets me know when a lease is becoming expired. The ability to show everything needed to ensure our company is compliant with the ASC 842 rules is another strong point. Visual Lease makes managing ASC 842 very easy. I like Visual Lease because it puts all data in one place with customizable reports. I definitely like how easy it is to navigate the website and the ad hoc reporting option. It's easy to look up a specific tenant and access all information within a couple of seconds. The ad hoc reporting is something I mainly use to pull specific financial information, which helps me with accurate GL reporting and recording.
