**What do you like best about VinSolutions Connect CRM?**

As an administrator of VinSolutions Connect CRM for my dealership, I find it very easy to do the setups and manage the processes. The templates are easy to manage and not overly complicated. Some people might call it an older platform, but I see it as a basic and very intuitive platform. Managing my team with a high volume of leads, the follow-ups feature allows them to pace themselves throughout the day and prioritize the most important tasks. The initial setup was very simple, and the VinSolutions implementation team provided support throughout the process, even launching us remotely during COVID, which went very smoothly. The training is on point, and bringing new users up to speed is easy as the system is intuitive and doesn't change too often, making it familiar to everyone.

**What do you dislike about VinSolutions Connect CRM?**

My biggest concern is with the reporting area. There are some legacy reports that are very basic and not drill downable, which is very important. The layout and font are hard to read. We prefer the style of the newer reports; they're drill downable and easier to read visually. We don't care for the legacy areas. The outdated reports are functionally hard to use.

I use VinSolutions Connect CRM to organize our follow-ups beyond human capability, store templates, document deals, and manage our leads efficiently, ensuring our team can focus on selling vehicles.

I find VinSolutions Connect CRM easy to navigate, which makes it very convenient for handling tasks. I love that I can text, email, and call directly through the website, allowing me to reach out to clients with ease. It’s great that I can send an email or text in 20 seconds or less, and the automated emails and scheduling features are especially useful. Additionally, I think the setup process was very easy and straightforward.

**What do you like best about VinSolutions Connect CRM?**

It was easy to integrate with our other programs and daily operations. Vin Solutions is easy to use and their support is very helpful. we are able to keep track of communications with customers, insert notes for other employees to see as well. We also utilize their email marketing through the AMP program. Most of our employees use Vin Solutions every day.

I haven't ran into any issues or had any problems.

The AMP program is wonderful to help with automating marketing emails for us to send to our customers as well as text marketing.

It is simple to use. Just point and click. Tasks are ordered nicely. I use it daily for many hours. It has a really clean layout and organizes everything just where it needs to be.

**What do you dislike about VinSolutions Connect CRM?**

Should be able to press enter to send a text as well as control your daily tasks so they aren't on days you are closed or you are off. Seems like they would do more updates on the text side of things so you can insert the picture of what your customer is considering at that time.

Makes my follow up with my customers easy to look back and know what or where we left off. If you are looking for great notes it works really well as long as you put the information in.

I remember the first time of using it, it was confusing, the interface is kind of complicated. I wish they could make it a little bit more simple.

It helps car dealerships efficiently manage leads generated from various sources. it keeps us organized. And it allows us to gain insights into sales performance, lead conversion rates, marketing effectiveness, and etc.. By analyzing data and identifying areas for improvement, dealerships can make informed decisions to optimize their operations and drive growth.

VinSolutions CRM has a lot of features that are beneficial. I like that it's cloud based. You can search leads for based on make and model which shows when clients were last contacted. From there your able to set task for the sales person or manager.

If you have a BDC that handles leads, when they flip the leads to sales consultants they don't get notifications or tasks on their to do list. Made it difficult for sales consultants to know they needed to follow up.

Being able to have all client data in one place. Having a great performance manager that helps with creating all the reports you need to monitor your business.

Easy to use, helps keep track of new leads, existing customers, service customers, etc. There are lots of templates and you can add your own to the system as well as custom follow up

Sometimes it is slow around the beginning and end of the month, which are the most crucial times in the industry. It does typically get resolved in a timely manner but still annoying at times

It helps us track and stay in touch with customers and make sure they are followed up on their schedule. I like that we can schedule custom follow up or use pre-made follow up in the system

Built-in data mining, campaign options, trackable analytics, and the ability to keep track of what the team is doing and how they are interacting with the customer.

While there are safeguards in place to prevent skating - the app doesn't prevent the skating as much as entering the customer into the system from a desktop. Not everything can be logged when done from personal or office equipment.

No problems recently. The app had issues, but has received a few updates and now performs as it should. Nothing that draws any real concern from me or the staff.

Connect is user-friendly and makes it easy to manage my customer base for my team and me. The interface is intuitive, and my VinSolutions rep holds monthly meetings to ensure that we're aware of new features and are utilizing the software to its fullest extent.

While some features can be buried deep in menus and some features can be a little dated, new features are constantly being added, and the support is there to make sure we can use the software as needed.

**What do you like best about VinSolutions Connect CRM?**

VIN Solutions is one of the most effective and comprehensive Cloud-based customer relationship management I've ever used. It allows you to call, text and email within the program and you can record and listen to previous calls so that it is easy to keep track of where the conversation with any customer is at. Customizable workflows and email templates make follow-up easy and allow you to nurture customer relations, and ensure that no one falls through the cracks. 

Aside from making and tracking customer connections, the platform offers a variety of intuitive and customizable reporting options so you can track a variety of key performance indicators and metrics for the whole team.  These reports are also very useful in data mining for new opportunities. The reporting and metrics come along with visualizations that make them easier to grasp.

VIN allows you to set follow up tasks based on a schedule, or manually as required. While following up, it allows you to easily set the next contact attempt by selecting the number of days before you'd like to make contact again. You can also reassign tasks to other members of the team.

VIN Solutions allows you to upload your inventory so you can easily track availability. This is especially useful when responding to leads so you do not have to cross check to ensure availability .

I have used many CRMs in the past, and this is definitely one of the better ones that I have seen. You can chose to use it in a very simple way, or expand to provide more functionality and do more.

**What do you dislike about VinSolutions Connect CRM?**

Vin Solutions is costlier than some of the other available options available; however, it more than makes up for it in usefulness and functionality.

**Recommendations to others considering VinSolutions Connect CRM:**

I would definitely recommend trying this CRM to any dealership that struggles to stay organized, either with customer follow up, unsold traffic, after-sale follow up or inventory.

VinSolutions allows us to easily manage leads, showroom traffic, after sales contact and be certain that nothing is getting lost or slipping through the cracks. It also makes tracking employee performance, response times and traffic easy.

Overall, it does what it is supposed to do.

While it may be better than most of its competition, it can be frustratingly slow at times. Also, the user interface can be a bit wonky at times, sometimes feeling like those who created did not test it out daily for a long period like those of us who use it every day.

It's keeping our customer database organized and allowing us to keep track of our customers with all kinds of relevant information. It provides reporting tools and often integrates with other companies to provide a rounded experience for the dealership employee.

When you download the app onto your phone you can take a picture of the clients license front and back to insert them into the crm system. The competitors out there have a much better system that focuses more on reaching out to the clients.

I feel the email templates that are on this system should be updated properly. I do not like the unmatched inbox I feel the system should look for similar emails. Many imporovements should be made where there should be more contact on clients birthdays.

Go see what systems are out there before comiting I'm sure there are better systems out there. Which will benefit your business. If you are using from your phone you do not need to manually enter clients if they have a license on them. Which also will show a picture from them and you can print in the future.

**What problems is VinSolutions Connect CRM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The benefits I have realized are being able to use my crm system from just about anywhere on my phone. I am a bit more productive because I can work from anywhere. I have realized that I can scan a vin number of a vehicle right from my phone and it will populate into the system.

They have a new reporting tool that is very intuitive and you can easily build reports with lots of filtering capability to get exactly what you want the first time.

**What do you dislike about VinSolutions Connect CRM?**

The only issue I have had with VinSolutions is when a new vehicle model comes out.  It can take a while before that model shows up in their pull-down model selection list.  An example of this is the 2022 Ford Maverick, which is new to Ford.

I get much better tracking performance enterprise-wide across the auto group.  It easily points out where deficiencies are in either people or processes.  This enables the ability to rapidly review and take appropriate actions

The aspect of the software I like best is the Dealer Dashboard which displays the internet sales funnel for the past 30 days, internet response times for the past 2 weeks, and KPIs.

The one thing I dislike about Connect by VinSolutions is the campaign template creator and manager. It seems somewhat outdated for what I want to communicate to customers.

Overall, VinSolutions Connect is an effective CRM tool for our company. We utilize it in several ways and despite the slight challenges I face with it, it is in fact beneficial in communicating internally and externally.

It is a simple resource to use to send out email blasts to specified groups of people, including sold customers or leads, and time frames in which those customers were in contact.

I feel like sometimes Vin Solutions can be a little glitchy/ lag. Usually, I am able to troubleshoot, which is good. I just feel like the software doesn't look the most up-to-date or modern. I think the design of the site could be a little bit more modern and less outdated.

VinSolutions is a great CRM system for any company in automotive. It's very dealer-specific, so it's great for this reason. It definitely gets the job done, but it could be a bit more-up-date layout and technology-wise.

I am cross-referencing leads on the CRM compared to leads on Facebook. I am able to check the accuracy of the Facebook leads and make sure that the data is the same on Vin Solutions and Facebook Leads.

The only thing I dislike about the program is the credit apps. Every once in a while, information is lost, prompting me to have to ask customers for their information a second time.

Very easy to set up and use. If you know how to use a desktop, then you know how to use this CRM. As long as you do the training provided by them then you will do just fine with this program. Not once since using it have I had to contact a support team. My only issue is remembering my password haha which is nobody's fault by my own.

Not really solving problems with it. It helps remind me of follow up with customers. The main benefit is being able to prioritize customers.

I love that I can text straight from my phone as if it were my personal cell phone number. It shows proof in the CRM that I am talking with my customers. These are also used as notes to go back and look at what we talked about. The manager can even go into the system and see I have reached out to the customer. If there is a problem on who said what we can always go back to the text messages and read what happened.

**What do you dislike about VinSolutions Connect CRM?**

I do not like the opt-in and out feature because some customers do not accept the request for text messages. Sometimes the customer will not type in just yes to opt in and we have no way but to call them to tell them to just type in the word yes.

Only advice I would give is to make sure you take the training videos that VIN gives because this is a very useful system to record all your hard work.

Customers prefer to text rather than call and talk on the phone with a salesman so being able to text the customer straight through the system in very convenient.

**What do you like best about VinSolutions Connect CRM?**

The general flow of the CRM process for this works well enough.  Printing forms is pretty straightforward and the uptime of the software has been pretty good.  A big key to how well this software will work for you is how much time you devote to getting the initial setups done correctly.

**What do you dislike about VinSolutions Connect CRM?**

The way VIN Solutions handles email is pretty annoying.  If you want your sales staff to have a functional email for "normal" use, then you're going to have to jump through some hoops to make that happen. The email client (very weak interpretation of an email solution) that's built into this software is a hassle to use to attach documents to, or view attachments. You'll want to maintain whatever you're currently using for an email solution in addition to what's in this software. In our case, I have our sales staff's primary domain email set to forward to a subdomain on another one of our domains which is the subdomain each of my stores in VINS are setup to use as their VINS email domains. (initial setup is messy) The added wrinkle to doing this is, VINS email is mainly setup to receive leads. So all emails that come into a salesperson's account, go into a "unmatched inbox" that everyone in the store can see. If the email is from that salespersons customer it will go to the salesperson as well.  Yes, you read that correctly, anyone who has their email routing into VINS will have their email visible to everyone else in that store in VINS.  It's an awful way of handling email and my suggestions to correct it have falled on deaf ears with support.  R&R Contact Management's email actually functions like you would expect, at least in terms of john@dealer.com's email goes to John's email within Contact Management and no one else can see it except administrators.  This email issue isn't really enough to NOT use VINS but it is something to consider in the bigger picture.  Another issue you'll have if you have Reynolds as your DMS provider is the integration into R&R. VINS currently has an issue with pushing customers into the DMS correctly. We see a stream of duplicate customers coming into our DMS namefile regularly and even with name file services trying to clean them it's still a mess. We are a 9 store group with centralized accounting and while VINS is trying to build themselves up to be a large group player, they're really not quite there yet. Contact Management does a MUCH better job with Reynolds since it's their product. Also user management is a breeze with Contact Management compared to VIN Solutions. We allow our sales staff to cross sell at any of our other stores and this creates headaches in VINS when/if staff leaves.  You have to go in and out of each store to redistribute their clients. (as opposed to Contact Management where you can do it all on the same screen)  Once you do it 30+ times you realize how much of a pain it is in VINS.  In our case, our sales managers across the group prefer VINS for the things they use it for so we have stayed with it.

**Recommendations to others considering VinSolutions Connect CRM:**

Weigh out how important full integration vs partial/hostile integration to your DMS is to you and your company.  Unless you have Dealertrack DMS, you won't have full integration with VINS, and at best you'll have close to full integration with CDK.  With Reynolds it will be a hostile integration with them and it's 1 way on names, so your updates in R&R won't push back to VINS to correct issues.

**What problems is VinSolutions Connect CRM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping sales staff manage their clients and start to build deals. It also will show the customer's "value" (ie: how much they've bought with the company) and that can help give staff a better picture of who they're dealing with.  Their mobile app integration with VAUTO is a very nice bonus and our stores use it extensively. Also the built in call/text tracking on their mobile app helps us retain customers when staff leaves and also gives us a paper trail for the interactions.

Vin solutions definitely makes it 100% easy to keep track of my customers. layout is nice and easy to use. navigation is easy because of the advance search tool. I can only give my perspective from a salesperson view and not from a manager view who would be using vin solutions a lot more detailed. I really like the feature where i'm about to pull up previous customers that bought say 3-4 years ago and im able to see a estimate on there payoff and a estimate on what there current vehicle might be worth. give me a good advantage into knowing what customers im able to call that have a great chance in being able to upgrade or trade in.

**What do you dislike about VinSolutions Connect CRM?**

The new update makes completing a a task a little more easy, but it takes longer for the window to open up and load up all the customers info. And sometimes it doesn't load the customers info. I would really enjoy a was to be able to push the customers trade info straight into first look from my phone instead of scanning vin, saving and then going back inside just to push it over to first look.

Its a great CRM small few problems from just a user stand point but nothing is perfect!

I like the fact that I can use this on my phone, an it can be a quick and easy way to access information about  potential sales.  You can also scan the VIN for quick entry.  

**What do you dislike about VinSolutions Connect CRM?**

I dislike the glitches this app and program experience quite often.  Sometimes it simply won't load, doesn't work properly, or say it loaded and it didn't.  It can also sometimes say it will generate an offer for me, and it shuts down the whole entire app.  That has been quite frustrating.  It also doesn't update the service schedule as often as it could, so it's not always updated in real time. If someone cancels an appointment, it won't update and still show as if they are here or coming in.

It's a good program!

I'm solving quite a bit, actually.  At first I used it in the sales floor when people would buy cars, it was easy to put info in and have it saved on there and also get notifications to my phone.  I can also use it to see the service schedule for people coming in which can help me connect them to sales with my new position, and check in with previous purchasing customers.  We can take a photo of people's licenses and always see a picture of them when we pull up their info which is really helpful when finding people in service or remembering the deal we discussed.

I like that information can push from this DMS into CDK for processing by the Finance Manager.  The Desking Feature allows one to pull the information regarding Rebates/special aprs/etc as long as the VIN and customer address are entered properly.  It is also easy to pull a CarFax Report from the software for a vehicle.

**What do you dislike about VinSolutions Connect CRM?**

When the Finance Manager Books or Closes a deal, the correct information should populate back into the DMS.  That way, whatever he or she caught regarding mistakes would then also be corrected in the DMS.

**Recommendations to others considering VinSolutions Connect CRM:**

Just become aware of all the functionality of the software in order to get the best use from it.

This is just another way to be able to show customers different options regarding financing a vehicle.  Desking a deal is pretty simple, and it is also easy to monitor the follow-up between sales consultants and customers.

I will say Im not crazy about the new Vin Solutions app. The older one surprisingly was more straightforward and easy to use. It’s what I still use today. The updated app doesn’t even look like what you’d see on the desktop.

The ability to merge duplicate customers, assign sales reps/managers/BDC to individual customers, and modify customer profiles makes for easy organization. I also love the ability to add and edit call scripts, email templates, etc. It helps to not have to type out the same email to 400 customers.

**What do you dislike about VinSolutions Connect CRM?**

There is nothing I particularly dislike about this program. The only problems or difficulties I've ever run into could be easily solved by changing a customer's process or modifying how our staff enters information into VinSolutions. If I were to make one suggestion, somewhere in the customer information I'd like to see "Pronouns"" added.

Great for managing business and customers. VinSolutions makes organization and finding the information you're looking for substantially easier.

Literally nothing. It's the worst CRM I've ever had the displeasure of using.

I can't get my calls to dial out all the time.  Right now I'm using it and I'm on my 9th attempt to dial out. What is the point of a recorded line feature if you have to manually dial out half the time.  I could go on but I'm not interested in spending that much time on this. But the dialing out thing, it's a problem.  And they won't acknowledge it.  We provided a week's worth of data showing the problem and have heard nothing since.

The technical support team at VinSolutions is extremely helpful in learning how to navigate the platform. What initially appeared to be a bit overhwhelming to me came with ease once my Support rep spent time teaching me how to walk through the dashboard and create email campaigns via webshare. The eAcademy offered on the website also makes for an easy learning experience too!

It is a huge help in assisting with email blasts as well as indexing the customer database for promotional items.
