**What do you like best about Vervoe?**

We have been using Vervoe for a coulpe of years now and it is a great tool for candidate screening to accelarate the hiring process of the company. Its AI features has been improving to also help hiring managers take decisions more data based. Also, we have a good feedback overall from the candidate side. From both sides it is very easy to use and intuitive. Easy to implement, and integrate with other softwares such as slack, etc. We use it on a daily basis.

**What do you dislike about Vervoe?**

The AI features has been improving and could improve a bit more so it is more accurate. Some jobs are still missing from the templates section. Some candidates have said that they had experienced issues in the platform (rare, but occurs). Customer support could also be real time chat.

**What problems is Vervoe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Vervoe is the first screen to all our hiring proccesses. It is a great tool to automate steps, include assessment and have good templates based on habilities, hard and soft. It also has AI scoring, that helps so that the evaluation is more data driven.

It wasn't anything I disliked I guess we had a lot of candidates that were interested but I love how Vervoe scores them prior to us viewing them. It gives great insight

Vervoe simplified and improved our hiring process. We are capable of quickly identifying a shortlist of candidates based on customizable assessments for any job role. It can be used as a preliminary screening tool by utilizing written, audio, or video content.

Vervoe provided us with better structure, response time, and visibility in our recruitment process. Not only did this build a good relationship with the applicants but also led to hiring the right candidate(s).

**What do you like best about Vervoe?**

With Vervoe we can create custom assessments for each of the roles we are trying to fill, and quickly assess thousands of candidates. Since we hire primarily on behalf of our clients, we can also share a candidate's profile with an external link. The process is pretty intuitive at every step.

**What do you dislike about Vervoe?**

There is a question bank that you can create overtime. This should make reusing questions easier, but there's currently no way to manage those questions after you've saved them. I resorted to saving my frequently used assessment questions in a Google Doc.

**What problems is Vervoe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Vervoe really helps with the knockout process. The assessments allow us to test whether a candidate really has the skills to succeed in the role. Most candidates are used to being parsed based on the content of their resume, but we test for skills first, and then verify the resume afterward. Vervoe allows us to do this smoothly. The other great feature is the AI scorer. As long as we grade 20 candidates manually, the AI will then be able to grade the hundreds or (in our case) thousands of candidates that we can't possibly get to. The top 10-20 can then be reviewed manually, and that's how we end up with our top 2-5 candidates.

Streamlines our entry-level recruitment process, removes the barrier to entry and creates an objective recruitment process which has increased the diversity of our candidate pool and increased the quality of candidates we hire. Metrics such as retention and performance have all increased since we started using Vervoe. We also love the dedicated support we received from the Vervoe team. Whenever we have a question or a new idea, the team are so quick to jump on a call and provide their expert advice

The only downside to using Vervoe is that it works so well that we have stopped exploring other options and providers, which is maybe a bit short-sighted

Vervoe is solving a significant problem for us, which is why we implemented it in the first place: access to our entry-level roles. Before implementing Vervoe, our candidate pool was very much only marketing, media and advertising graduates. By using Vervoe, we can advertise our jobs to everyone, and regardless of their background, we pick the best 10%

The premade English test was OK and saved us some work to set up an assessment for English proficiency.

**What do you dislike about Vervoe?**

Our experience with Vervoe has been disappointing for several reasons:

- Candidates complain that Audio and Video recording does not work for them and/or take a long time to process. We have reported this to customer support and got the answer that it cannot be fixed.

- The code editor/test was unusable for most candidates and caused so much frustration that we had to replace it with a simple text box.

- AI grading is pretty much useless. It takes even more time for us since we have to train the AI and correct its grading manually for each candidate.

- Pricing model feels arbitrary and is completely unflexible. We had to dismiss dozens of candidates, just because we hit the arbitrary 100 candidate limit and customer support had no way to give us access to those candidates' results. It's unacceptable and embarrassing to have to tell our candidates that we have to reject them because we would have to wait two weeks for Vervoe to unlock their tests.

- The UI to grade the tests is laggy and inefficient. We planned to use Vervoe to reduce the time needed to evaluate tests, however, it turned out that our staff spends more time grading tests than before using other solutions.

- Customer support does the bare minimum to close the tickets and showed at no point willingness nor capability to fix our reported issues.

Considering all the points above, there is no way that we could justify a yearly commitment and the monthly subscription is limited in so many ways that it made it unfeasible for our hiring process.

My understanding is that Vervoe is trying to help companies with automating parts of their hiring process.

Unfortunately, we've found that most audio and video problems occur locally on the candidate's device. However, our team have come up with a list of troubleshooting steps that we are more than happy to walk the candidates through. We encourage candidates to reach out to our support team at support@vervoe.com for any questions or concerns they may have. If there seems to be any issue within the platform, we also encourage all feedback to be sent to the support team, so we can then urgently escalate the information to the respective department.

As for the AI grading feature, we can certainly understand not having much time to manually grade via the Optimize feature. The good news is, due to the grading scale/sample answers that your team inputs upon creating the assessment, our AI is about 83% accurate without any manual grading! However, if you prefer 99%+ accuracy and for the AI to learn your company's personal preference in an answer, manually grading the few suggested assessments would immediately help achieve that percentage.

- Stats on applicants' progress is helpful

- Super helpful for when we have a large number of applicants per role

- Restrictions on the number of candidates per role is the main dislike
- Not sure how useful the AI grading actually is (although we probably didn't feed it enough data for it to judge). I would say the AI component is a "nice to have" rather than a "must have".

AI would have been more useful for companies hiring across multiple roles, with hundreds of candidates each.

That being said - we really like the system, and will use it for recruitment of all key roles going forward.
One good hire/one saved bad hire will more than pay for the cost of this system.

Sometimes the messaging and the order of messages that candidates see are hard to understand from the back end. For example, there's an email invitation message, a message once they click on the email message, and a third message that all have to be customized but are not easily found or in the same place on the tool.

It allows us to create short assessments to test whether people are simply mass-applying for hundreds of jobs without reading the job description, or actually interested, capable and motivated to do this job. If they are not willing to take 5 minutes to answer a couple of questions then they "weed themselves out" for us.

Vervoe delivers such an exceptional set of benefits to recruitment teams, hiring managers and candidates that it's hard to nominate individual features. My experience with Vervoe is that it allowed the level of customisation I required to test specific capabilities of candidates in a way that gives them a realistic job preview and ensures that new employees have the skills required to perform their roles. The platform and technology underpinning Vervoe also provides hiring managers with a depth of candidate information allowing for faster and more accurate selection processes. While reducing the risk of bias within a recruitment bias Vervoe allows companies to transact faster and more accurately with a much larger pool of candidates. Vervoe saves time and money while delivering better outcomes than traditional recruitment methods.

**What do you dislike about Vervoe?**

There's nothing I dislike about Vervoe - its does exactly what I require of it and it has always exceeded my expectations. The only advice I'd give to prospective customers is to ensure you learn how to use it properly. Understanding how the platform operates and how to get the best out of it can lead to dramatic improvements in staff attrition. You only get poor results with Vervoe if you don't put in the time or effort required to implement the platform effectively.

I introduced Vervoe to ensure better capability alignment to selection criteria within the recruitment process and was pleased to find that Vervoe delivers additional benefits of improved candidate and hiring manager experience, the mitigation of risk from bias during selection and a decrease in staff attrition. The ROI Vervoe has delivered has been exceptional.

**What do you like best about Vervoe?**

The best part of Vervoe is the ease with which we can create specific skill assessments for different departments and jobs. We can create a more generalized first-step assessment using a variety of question types of question styles -- multiple-choice, essay, video, audio, visual, etc. -- to establish a baseline of whether a candidate will fit within the company culture and do so all within a single assessment. Then as the candidate progresses through the hiring process, Vervoe lets us progressively test the candidates with higher-level, more complex questions to better assess their level of expertise.

Most impressive is how the Vervoe AI learns from the essay, audio, and video answers and can grade them very accurately freeing up our time. It's super accurate and allows us to rely on the percentage grates to establish a baseline whether we want to proceed with a candidate or not.

**What do you dislike about Vervoe?**

The only downside to Vervoe would be that it lacks a true behavioral assessment. However, with the help of the Vervoe team and leaning on their experience and expertise, we've been able to cater our assessments in a way that doesn't feel like a typical behavioral quiz.

**Recommendations to others considering Vervoe:**

Make sure you understand what you are looking for. listen to the Vervoe team and their recommendations of best practices, but make sure they understand your hiring process so they can help direct you to the best practices. We were not clear from the get-go and it cost us some setup time that we could have saved had we understood our process better.

**What problems is Vervoe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With Vervoe we're able to accurately determine whether a candidate has a chance to fit with our company's culture. We are also able to quickly eliminate "resume experts" who show well on paper but lack the actual skills to perform what's required by the job. Obviously, the time we save with Vervoe grading voice and essay questions is a big deal.

I have used Vervoe in the past for a couple of years and there is nothing about it that one can NOT like. I am yet to use the analytics feature (being a data driven person myself) so I need to see if there are insights that can be changed / added, if any.

Vervoe works well to assist the team and Hiring Managers in making skill-based hires, rather than screening CVs.

The issue is that unconscious bias introduces:
· Unintentional discrimination
· Blocks creating truly diverse and inclusive workplaces
· Hampers equal opportunity; especially for women and new Australians

**What do you dislike about Vervoe?**

The only downside of using Vervoe, is the candidate that has been invited to do the same online interview for the same assessment may not be able to showcase their growth from the first time they completed one.

Every day, potentially great employees are being unconsciously discounted because they have poor resume writing skills, have the “wrong” surname, are deemed too “old”, possess genetics from a “different” country, or just aren’t the “right” gender.

All of these areas of bias by hiring managers, HR professionals and recruiters, are screening out potentially great employees without them even being considered.

We combine traditional methods with modern technology that continues to assist our TA team, to coach our staff in the potential of not seeing one's resume, but to assess the skills the candidates possess that are relevant to the role.

As a recruiter the ability to set up interview process/questions which can be customised for any position and then share the link across many platforms is a dream. Responses come straight back and are housed all in one place. This saves so much time. Traditional methods of face-face recruitment are slow and vervoe enables an employer to evaluate the talent immediately to see if someone one can actually do the job or possess the skills before we hire them. It can be used as a pre-screen tooling or as the sole recruiting/selecting tool. It allows candidates to put their best foot forward by removing an external factors or face-face nerves aned allows them to sell themselves in-depth. Vervoe is more effective, its functionalities are intuitive and overall it streamlines the overall interview process.

**What do you dislike about Vervoe?**

A small downside is the rating scale just as it is subjective to the marker who initially marks the questions to get the predicted scores started. However, to counter that if you sit as a team and mark vervoe together to get an idea off what types of responses warrant what type of mark then you can get more accurate predicted scores which are based on the groups consensus/knowledge of what an appropriate or best answer would be and this can go towards removing the sometimes subjectivity off the marks.

Do not look past this great tool which will save great amount of resources for your company both in terms of costs and time.

**What problems is Vervoe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Solving all selecting needs. Time-saving as you don't have to manually set-up all the interviews or conduct them. Merely the link gets sent out and you wait for mass responses to come back in. You can then easily export and share the links to your team for further selection and you can always come back to their video responses if you need to get a further idea or weren't too sure on a response to a question - something that you can not do in a real-time interview.

Vervoe works, the system is well designed and easy to navigate, and the team is constantly improving the overall user experience. It's easy to pick up and therefore also east to on board new team members to use the system.

The downsides may be that it's not easy to see whether a particular candidate has already completed an assessment before at glance. The other is that often times we are asked to hide the candidate's name, which is a functionality Vervoe currently doesn't permit.

**What problems is Vervoe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are hiring faster more objectively, and the quality of our hires has gone up considerably. Vervoe is utilized in every single one of our entry-level recruitment processes and we wouldn't be able to achieve the results we had in 2021 without it. We hired over 200 entry level candidates through Vervoe and were able to assess close to 5000. Had we not had Vervoe, a single recruiter would not have made these hires on their own and not objetively. It's transformed the way we operate.

Thank you for your feedback about viewing candidate completions. We actually have a cool 'Notification Bell' feature that'll help with this problem. On your dashboard, if you click the bell icon located on your assessment (it'll turn blue), you will then be emailed each time there is a candidate completion for that assessment!

As for the hidden candidate names - although we offer a helpful workaround within the "Optimize" tab of your assessment (allows you to grade answers at random, without candidate information), we will definitely take into consideration adding this as a feature to the platform. There's nothing I dislike as such - there are currently some things it can't do that I would really like it to, but our Vervoe rep has said that those functions are on the way.

Get a demonstration of what it can do specifically for your industry or business - you can customise it with their assistance initially and then once you know how to use it, you are able to make changes based on your business requirements.

It's taking a lot of pressure off the recruitment team with mass recruitment positions (such as call center agents), where you have tons of CVs. You assess best performers only.

Poor integration with Comeet. Once the first invitation expires - candidates jump to the same step as completed ones, and that's where the mess starts.

Definitely a time saver. With massive recruitment (call center reps) we don't even screen CVs - we send them to Vervoe assessment and work with best performers only. For HQ positions - it totally replaces the phone interview, includes professional micro-tests, and also gives lots of non-verbal info via video questions.

It was a great tool to weed out the people who actually seemed quite good upon first glance of their resume and get to the crux of their skills through the tailored questions. Particularly whilst recruiting through lockdowns, the video tool was useful to get a real sense of the person we would be meeting eventually. The auto-grading was handy and was able to pick on recruits we may have overlooked just by reading their resume.

Easy to set up and use, and provides a good candidate experience. We created our custom assessment which has transformed our success rate from ~30% success to nearly 100%. Candidates seem to like it as well.

Can be fiddly to get scoring done correctly. It's AI tool is probably good for writing samples, but our test was pretty straightforward "right" / "wrong" answers and was a bit tricky to implement that basic logic.

The best thing about Vervoe is its versatility in creating custom assessments that I can continue to evolve and improve as we implement it within our business. I've not found any other tool in 2 years of searching that has the same breadth of utility, ease of use and cost effectiveness.

I haven't identified any downside. With any new platform there's tools and integrations I'd like to see in the future but the team at Vervoe have been receptive to my feedback of what I'd like to see developed in the future and responsive to all of my requests for further support (and there have been many!)

I'm implementing Vervoe to allow a deeper level of engagement with large pools of applicants for roles, to establish objective benchmarks for candidate selection across our corporate group, to improve the initial candidate experience for high volume applicant roles (ie entry level), to increase my staff's productivity and time efficiency and to improve the quality of hires. We're still early in the process but feedback to date from all stakeholders has been incredibly positive with respect to Vervoe's delivery on the goals I've set through it's implementation.

I'd love an easier way to search the question library to find the most relevant questions for us to use.

Instead of having to trawl through CVs trying to interpret whether what someone has done is a match to our requirements, I get to see how they would approach the role we have. 
For a role with over 65 applicants, the Vervoe process allowed us to shortlist 3 for phone interview. Of these, we invited 2 for face to face interview, and we ended up hiring both of them.

Had 100 applicants for a key role in our small business. Sent all applicants our customised Vervoe talent trial. 40 completed it. 7 were shortlisted. 1 was hired for advertised role. Another was hired for a newly created position. Entire process took 3 days. We did not look at resumes until the shortlist stage.

**What do you dislike about Vervoe?**

There was nothing that we disliked. A few initial adjustments to using the software were made easy by the immediate and frequent responses of the Vervoe support team

**What problems is Vervoe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It was very important to hire the right person for a role that is central to our business. Without Vervoe we would have spent a long time screening candidates, and had misleading information in advance of meeting candidates. Vervoe allowed us to efficiently shortlist high calibre people who were clearly suitable.

**What do you like best about Vervoe?**

We hire sales reps remotely and this helps us to weed out unprofessional applicants very well.  Our applicants live throughout the US so we hire them and fly them to Chicago without first meeting them face to face.  Vervoe eliminates unprofessional people and has allowed me to bring on exactly what I am looking for. 

**What do you dislike about Vervoe?**

The only this I would change is the reject letter section.  There is some confusion in that area.  When it isn't checked it still sends the email to the candidates.  

**Recommendations to others considering Vervoe:**

If you need pre-employment screening, Vervoe is the best and most cost effective solution I have used.  I love the product.  It has helped me to ensure the people we bring to our corporate office for training are professional and what we are looking for.

**What problems is Vervoe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

being able to see our remote reps and how professional they are before spending thousands of dollars to bring them to Chicago and train them.

I appreciate the flexibility to create a wide range of questions. The ability to create a spreadsheet and have applicants modify it is key for us.

**What do you dislike about Vervoe?**

It can be a bit glitchy from time to time but the team has been very responsive and they have been rolling out improvements on a regular basis.

**Recommendations to others considering Vervoe:**

We were looking for a skill testing application that was flexible and allowed for a variety of question types. We find that developing new questions is simple and over all the program is easy to use. We find that our completion rates are not as high as we would like and we do spend a fair amount of time following up with candidates who haven't completed talent trials. One way we improved this is by reading resumes and only inviting interesting candidates to complete trials. And, we only have candidates complete one longer skill trial instead of breaking it up into smaller tests.  We have found a better completion rate using these strategies.

We wanted a flexible way to pre-screen candidates and test essential skills. This allows us to weed out candidates with great resumes but poor skills at the top of the interview process.

It helps to determine a candidate's motivation and we don't have to chase them for a phone interview. Saves a lot of time and helps to get a better talent pool as well as turn over ratio.

Nothing on top of my mind but if I have to pick up something that would be if we are in talent trials or other options sometimes it doesn't give the option to go back to the dashboard or back.

Replacing initial phone interviews with Vervoe. helps to determine candidate motivation, as well as the turnover ration to actual interviews, is more.

All the main documents and data needed for intelligent recruiting are kept in one place. If you're someone who doesn’t recruit often, but want to keep track of candidates and assess them fairly while managing all your other business processes (who has time to set aside a whole day for reviewing application letters?) Vervoe is for you.

**What do you dislike about Vervoe?**

Occasional glitches sone candidates experienced logging into the session. 

**Recommendations to others considering Vervoe:**

This SAAS won't do the work for you - you still need to populate it with valid selection tasks appropriate to your industry and the position you have available. But once you've done that work, this will save you a lot of time, confusion and headaches. 

**What problems is Vervoe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can see where I'm up to in the recruitment process, can grade candidates fairly and keep track of where they are in the process, so that contacting them at their different terminating points is done. This helps you establish a good reputation as a fair and courteous employer.
