Cookiebot adapted very quickly to the changes that were happening at lightning speed. What did I like most about it? The fact that all those complicated legal regulations, implementations, adjustments, etc. were easy peasy lemon squeezy with Cookiebot! Cookiebot had a simple, intuitive, and uncomplicated CMP control panel. The banner configuration was extremely simple and allowed you to immediately preview the actual appearance of the designed banner, and the most difficult part—the implementation—was easy to carry out thanks to the very comprehensive and extensive support, which not only included instructions but also answers to various questions. In summary, integrating Cookiebot with the website using Google Tag Manager was not a major problem. In terms of frequency, there were months when we carried out over several hundred implementations. Currently, unfortunately, the topic has quietened down a bit and there are significantly fewer implementations, so I visit the panel much less often, but there isn't a month when I'm not available on it. What I disliked most about Cookiebot was the change in the billing method—first, the number of subpages was changed, then, as expected, the prices followed suit, which in turn were adjusted after a short period of time to the new billing method, which was no longer based on subpages, but on the number of sessions, which are much more difficult to calculate. The old method allowed you to find out clearly, quickly, and transparently what the costs of implementing CMP would be. It’s been over a year since we started using Cookiebot. As a business based in Greece with plans to expand across the EU, we needed a more reliable solution for compliance. Cookiebot offered the necessary features for both Greek law and GDPR compliance, though it did require some configuration—especially since we use Magento 2. So far, it has proven to be a solid choice. Customer support is great. It also integrates smoothly with our tracking setup, including Google’s platform. I would recommend it. The UI feels outdated, and as a long-time customer, I’m still stuck on an older version of the platform with no upgrade path in sight — which makes the growing subscription fees hard to justify.

We had a truly terrible experience with this company. Even before we received the scan results/invoices for a series of sites, a huge amount had already been debited from our account. Commercial bot scanners result in unrealistically high invoices. Following their own "complaint handling" recommendation, I contacted support, but this is highly inadvisable... 20 emails later, you're back to square one.
