**What do you dislike about Upland Kapost?**

It is a very custom setup process. Tracking revisions is also very difficult.

**What problems is Upland Kapost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allow us to keep everything in one place for content marketing campaigns. It gave a nice client facing interface our clients could use for reviewing and approving content and to see progress.

  ### 3. Easily manage content workflows!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mike G. | Director, Global Content Marketing, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2020

**What do you like best about Upland Kapost?**

The ease of setting up specific workflowsfor every stage of content creation, including being able to seamlessly assign stakeholders for review. Also, can build a great editorial calendar.

**What do you dislike about Upland Kapost?**

No integration with AEM for publishing to the web.

**What problems is Upland Kapost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Understanding priorities and being able to quickly identify who's working on what at any moment. It's helped us report back to executive team where we are in our content planning.

  ### 4. Keep track of content with Kapost

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tyson R. | Marketing Staff, Marketing and Advertising, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 06, 2019

**What do you like best about Upland Kapost?**

Kapost offers a repository of reliable and easy-to-access content for team members, as well as allowing them to constantly monitor their tasks and until content is published. He always seeks to keep the entire team in touch to evaluate his strategy, allowing him to send evidence and add comments on the development of the project. One of Kapost's great advantages is the suggestions he makes about the type of language for the content and the appropriate amount of images to use per post.

**What do you dislike about Upland Kapost?**

If you are evaluating posting to accounts in other countries, adjusting time zone differences is usually a complicated process. I would like there to be a function that will involve the country of my choice and perform the time setting automatically. In addition, there are no other means of notifications other than sent to email. It is very easy to ignore an email, so having other means available to receive reminders would be helpful.

**Recommendations to others considering Upland Kapost:**

Kapost is recommended for companies with a large amount of content required for publications, as it will allow you to organize it properly in your marketing and / or sales team.

**What problems is Upland Kapost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kapost began being used only by a small team in the marketing department, but it quickly expanded to the sales department as well, with the function that all those who participated in the content were able to keep track of their tasks. The massive use of this tool is because it allows us to know exactly where each project was on the assembly line, so the designation of responsibilities is carried out in a more transparent and adequate way.

  ### 5. This tool is enough to manage all our marketing content

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alfred M. | Marketing Staff, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 20, 2019

**What do you like best about Upland Kapost?**

With Kapost, you can create workflows for different projects and task categories, making sure you don't miss any step in the marketing creative process. Also, its system is focused on organization, where you can find recent projects easily in the dashboard and you can upload and save all materials for a project. You’re able to set up and schedule tasks for individuals across every department function, so every employee can be aware of their tasks and when it is due.

**What do you dislike about Upland Kapost?**

Although the system is good for organization, large dumps of content can get lost if they’re not set under a standardized naming convention for files in place. Also, there are some useless tools, like the “Submit button”. We usually just hit it anyway, but I'm not sure if it provides any sort of functionality. When It comes to design, I would like to see a renewed background.

**Recommendations to others considering Upland Kapost:**

Kapost is well-suited for Marketing teams looking for a help to send email campaigns, as it provides real-time statistics of how the campaign is performing. However, in some design related cases, it's easier to have a designer work on it and then send it to Kapost than design in the same platform.

**What problems is Upland Kapost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Kapost in the Marketing department to manage all marketing content across our entire organization, which has three headquarters across the country. Since it was deployed, we have really noticed an increased in our visibility. Kapost offered us a central location to store and find all materials making our projects stand in the pipeline.

  ### 6. Very simple tool but there are room for improvement in terms of other apps integration

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Umair A. | Solution Architect, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 14, 2019

**What do you like best about Upland Kapost?**

Ist Just in time creation of User Profile is really amazing.

**What do you dislike about Upland Kapost?**

There are sum Bugs in configuration of SAML SSO, hopefully it will be removed asap.

**Recommendations to others considering Upland Kapost:**

I would atleast check its documentation and its simplicity for integration with other apps.

**What problems is Upland Kapost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have recently implemented some integration of Kapost with other tools e.g: Onelogin
From the standardized feature perspective it is very stable cloud solution but at the time of SSO implementation it confuses the processes.

  ### 7. Scalable content management for product marketing professionals

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ariel Z. | Product Marketing Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 19, 2019

**What do you like best about Upland Kapost?**

The ability to push to an overlay of the Content Gallery in Salesforce so that our sales/CS network can access anytime/anywhere.

**What do you dislike about Upland Kapost?**

A bit clunky and less flexibility in configuring functional changes without having to reach out to customer support (e.g. our sales people who don't have their own Kapost accounts find it challenging to navigate and can only search for a piece of content if already in the Collection it belongs to).

**What problems is Upland Kapost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Scaling our content management process as our team grows. Automates and tracks our workflows.

  ### 8. Great to break organizational silos

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ankit C. | Senior Manager, Information Technology and Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 04, 2019

**What do you like best about Upland Kapost?**

Integrations, Ease of use, Insights, Gallery and Calendar really broke silos across the organization . Carter and the technical support were of great help in managing the account for us on daily basis.

**What do you dislike about Upland Kapost?**

Feature requests were hard to execute and the SaaS nature of the product made it difficult to customize or introduce new features ,

**Recommendations to others considering Upland Kapost:**

Use it for marketing teams that are larger than 50 people to realise benefits of the product and make efficiency, re-usability and planning as the key usecase.

**What problems is Upland Kapost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reduction in number of emails, breaking down of silos , faster time to market , historical repository of content , easy to plan and track campaigns, centralized analytics for performance.

  ### 9. Really needs buy-in for it to work, but valuable otherwise

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrew H. | Senior Web Marketing Specialist, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 30, 2018

**What do you like best about Upland Kapost?**

Editorial calendar with tons of options; excellent workflow and permissions; easy to assign roles and duties to team

**What do you dislike about Upland Kapost?**

Rather hard to get people on board the platform; sometimes can be difficult to understand certain sections, such as the Gallery. Poor integration with Drupal and not very powerful content creation tools.

**Recommendations to others considering Upland Kapost:**

Make sure you have buy-in from the entire team, and other stakeholders (i.e. those in your review process) before you purchase Kapost. If you already have a process, i.e. one out of Dropbox assignments or Google Doc assignments, this will be harder-- and perhaps not even necessary (i.e. use Google Calendar + Docs assignment instead).

**What problems is Upland Kapost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were trying to implement review processes and timelines for assets and their publication. With Kapost and the corporate marketing team on board, we successfully implemented review stages for editorial, design, product review and a final sign-off from the manager. We also were able to keep track of each asset's publication dates and see them from one place.

  ### 10. Great tool to help you get more content done faster.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kristin H. | Marketing Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2018

**What do you like best about Upland Kapost?**

The ability to create and update workflows very easily. My team also enjoyed being able to give feedback directly in the tool during all creation stages. The ability to customize what the end user in our organization saw was great.

**What do you dislike about Upland Kapost?**

I wish I could easily see my entire marketing plan for the year and then build out the assets from that.

**Recommendations to others considering Upland Kapost:**

If you are looking for a tool to help you get more content done faster, and a tool that helps others in your organization get the content once it is finished, I'd highly recommend this product. We sat through about 10 demos with other software companies and Kapost came out on top. There was never a time after we purchased this, that I thought it was a bad decision.

**What problems is Upland Kapost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed to be able to search all of our content for specific words so we knew what pieces needed to be updated by what they said. We were also a very content heavy marketing group and we needed to be able to move through projects quicker.

  ### 11. It does the job, but could be better

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeremiah B. | Marketing Manager, Marketing and Advertising, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 31, 2018

**What do you like best about Upland Kapost?**

The calendar view is helpful, as are custom views. It's relatively easy to see a clear view of what content you're responsible for and when it's due.

**What do you dislike about Upland Kapost?**

Limited drag-and-drop capabilities, and the flows don't re-order automatically based on changed task dates.

**Recommendations to others considering Upland Kapost:**

Search capabilities could be improved, and it's lacking drag-and-drop capabilities. It gets unwieldy as you add more and more, so it might be better for SMBs.

**What problems is Upland Kapost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We organize our global content initiatives, as well as resources for the sales team.

  ### 12. Getting to know kapost

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ali E. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 08, 2018

**What do you like best about Upland Kapost?**

Interesting end to end marketing approach

**What do you dislike about Upland Kapost?**

might be difficult to convince our teams to use canvas

**What problems is Upland Kapost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

getting content to the sales people

  ### 13. Organized Project Management Fit For Type A Marketers

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 10, 2017

**What do you like best about Upland Kapost?**

Kaposts cross team collaboration functionality as well as project "status update" feature make reviewing project status quick and team collaboration easy.

**What do you dislike about Upland Kapost?**

The above mentioned updates and messages can get messy and clutter up your activity feed quickly. Similarly, if you're on a large amount projects messages and status updates can get missed as they're pushed down in the activity feed.

**What problems is Upland Kapost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Improving cross team creative collaboration, especially for both internal and external vendor teams. Building out micro-sites has become infinitely easier with the checks and status updates Kapost provides.

  ### 14. Kapost is a good product

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carson M. | Marketing Operations Associate, Computer Software, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 20, 2017

**What do you like best about Upland Kapost?**

Kapost makes it easy to organize tasks that need to be done across multiple teams. Our Content team works on most of the tasks but coordinates with our marketing ops and demand gen teams through Kapost

**What do you dislike about Upland Kapost?**

Kapost can be a little overwhelming from the user interface standpoint. There is a lot of information in the platform and I don't think it is as organized as it could be. Also without a dedicated user of kapost, the tasks can add up and get forgotten

**Recommendations to others considering Upland Kapost:**

Make sure you are prepared to have people that are regularly using the platform and are very familiar with it.

**What problems is Upland Kapost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are solving the problem of things not getting done through long email chains. Things are easily lost or overshadowed through email so having one platform makes things easier.

  ### 15. Great for workflow, above all else.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Broadcast Media | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 26, 2017

**What do you like best about Upland Kapost?**

I love the ability to create custom workflow documentation for multiple users — very useful within the publishing process from start to finish.

**What do you dislike about Upland Kapost?**

It's essentially a lesser version of WordPress as a content editor. To publish, we still have to push to WP, but the workflow tools are bar none.

**What problems is Upland Kapost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing the multiple tasks and workflow deadlines across editors, writers and platforms. Kapost does it seamlessly.

  ### 16. Kapost is task management at it's finest with all the automation to keep projects on time.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rebekah W. | Marketing Specialist, Computer Software, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 23, 2017

**What do you like best about Upland Kapost?**

I like the ability to create different workflows for different processes. Each workflow will have only the tasks—and the people assigned to those specific tasks—necessary to complete the project. Notifications help to remind you that the task has moved on, is behind or a deadline has changed. I love the transparency it offers especially working within a large marketing department. Along with the workflows, you can setup smart deadlines so a project always stays on time.

**What do you dislike about Upland Kapost?**

The comment feature could be a bit more intuitive, but currently it is on the bottom righthand corner of the page and can be difficult to manage the comments from other users. Also, it comments each time a task deadline is updated so there could be 15 comments in a row that say "Deadline has been changed".

**What problems is Upland Kapost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Kapost with a 40 person marketing team and it allows us to collaborate, assign and manage multiple projects at one time regardless of where each person on the team works. The benefits of transparency, accountability and collaboration has really moved our marketing initiatives to the next level.

  ### 17. A bit rough to start, then we hit our stride

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kevin L. | Director, Demand Generation, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 14, 2017

**What do you like best about Upland Kapost?**

I like the job flows...keeps everything moving, and I love the ability to chat with stakeholders within the tool. (less email the better)

**What do you dislike about Upland Kapost?**

It was very rough during implementation and I think more hand holding is needed through customer success teams.

**Recommendations to others considering Upland Kapost:**

Its a very powerful tool, but not a lot of people know about it in my opinion. When I say I have used Kapost, some know it but most do not. Need more customer advocates to preach the word!

Also, on implementation, there needs a little refinement. People dont like change and thats what hurt us and slowed us down. We had a great kickoff with them, but I feel like we could've used a few more in person meetings to walk us through it all.

**What problems is Upland Kapost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed a centralized place for all content creation, campaign creation, and an editorial calendar for large launches. It checked off on all of those....BUT it took some time to get there. (be patient)

  ### 18. Couldn't Live Without Kapost

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kelley B. | Communications Manager, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 06, 2016

**What do you like best about Upland Kapost?**

I love the fact that Kapost helps my team to keep our content machine running smoothly. Prior to implementing Kapost we didn't have a true "content machine." Pieces of content would fall off the radar, ideas about new content would be forgotten and there was no true documented processes for completing blogs, white papers and even events.

With Kapost we have more than tripled the amount of content that we produce, ideas are not lost, and we have documented and proven processes for any piece of content, types of campaigns, events, webinars and more. There is no reinventing the wheel.

Kapost is also awesome to work with. They are very interested in listening and implementing our ideas about how to make the Kapost experience better. They are always implementing new features that make Kapost better and I very much feel like the company is going to thrive and be around for a long time!

**What do you dislike about Upland Kapost?**

Kapost allows you to drill down to a granular level. Our team has found it works best if we don't get too into the weeds when setting up steps and tasks. It can end up wasting time.

**Recommendations to others considering Upland Kapost:**

Great customer service, stable company, flexible, and most importantly the system works.

**What problems is Upland Kapost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our small marketing team has been able to rapidly increase and continue to produce content. We also have been able to reduce the time cycle of getting content approved and published, resulting in more content which is key to helping us drive more leads. No longer do we have to reinvent the wheel in terms of processes for things like conferences. We are able to look back easily and see what we did at a particular conference the year before. It has also helped us in tracking what we have submitted to vendors, conferences, webinars and more. This helps us avoid submitting duplicate content.

Kapost has also helped us be able to create strong nurture programs. This in turn has had an impact on leads and in keeping top of mind with prospects. I would highly recommend Kapost to any team that feels like they aren't producing enough content, struggling with keeping up with their campaign initiatives or anyone who feels like they are constantly reinventing the wheel.

  ### 19. Kapost (Content Management) Product Review

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 13, 2017

**What do you like best about Upland Kapost?**

Easy to use and intuitive so it takes only a few minutes to come up to speed

**What do you dislike about Upland Kapost?**

Too many initiatives and tasks can get you lost so better tagging will help in quick and easy retrieval of tasks

**Recommendations to others considering Upland Kapost:**

If you want to use a easy to use tool for Marketing Content Management, then you should consider Kapost.

**What problems is Upland Kapost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Good content marketing organizing solution

  ### 20. Best asset management and workflow tool hands down!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 27, 2017

**What do you like best about Upland Kapost?**

Kapost allows you to craft, manage and measure content in one place. It creates a culture of accountability and version control. It also helps to tie Content ROI to sales.

**What do you dislike about Upland Kapost?**

It was a bit restrictive, although we wanted to highly customize it for our needs.

**What problems is Upland Kapost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ability to craft content in one place, implement accountability models and workflows but most importantly version control.

  ### 21. Quick to expand and accommodate for a growing company.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 30, 2017

**What do you like best about Upland Kapost?**

Kapost has allowed us to cross segment and exponentially grow and track our marketing. It also allows us to proactively monitor and adjust deadlines, assignments, and kinds of content.

**What do you dislike about Upland Kapost?**

Sometimes there are bad bugs where it delays/stops our work but their customer service is prompt and rarely do we have the same problem twice.

**Recommendations to others considering Upland Kapost:**

The cost is worth it to growing companies but may not be the most cost effective for very small teams. It's helped us expand internally, and add users as we grew quickly and needed a way to hold everyone accountable and hit content deadlines.

**What problems is Upland Kapost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

we can have employees working collaboratively on content and turn projects around faster than we had prior. It allows everyone to be working at their own pace but accomplish a lot as a whole.

  ### 22. Great content management tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 18, 2016

**What do you like best about Upland Kapost?**

We used this tool at my previous company. It's a great tool for content management and organizing multiple projects. Before using Kapost, my team would constantly be losing track of what was going out and when. This is a great tool for organizing our workflow and ensuring that things don't fall off the radar.

This tool allows us to produce more content in a more efficient way. It also does what a lot of smaller tools would do combined, so the all-in-one aspect is a bonus.

**What do you dislike about Upland Kapost?**

The platform could have allowed for more customization. Not every feature needed to be utilized and I think the user interface could have been more streamlined if it would have allowed for the removal of some of these.

It can be a little overwhelming, especially as someone who had never used a tool like this in the past.

**Recommendations to others considering Upland Kapost:**

It's a great tool and easy to use once you get familiar with it. It's very easy to get overwhelmed by some of the features. But it really did help to streamline the workflow and content creation process. In comparison to some of the tools I use at my current company, Kapost is a much more user friendly tool. It does the job of what a few smaller tools would do combined, so I do like the all-in-one aspect.

**What problems is Upland Kapost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our company was using it to streamline the content production and distribution process.

  ### 23. Marketing strategy tool for businesses!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Akshat G. | E, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2016

**What do you like best about Upland Kapost?**

Kapost has helped us easily coordinate and manage content creation. It helps us keep much better track of any tasks and see when the campaign goes live. It helps in keeping the entire team on the same page. It helps manage all content types like case studies, white papers, product brochures and helps streamline the overall marketing strategy. I also like how effortless it is to work together on articles piece with other team members.

**What do you dislike about Upland Kapost?**

It would be nice to have an additional feature to modify the gallery to match with our brand design. Also, the search function can have better functionality to be able to seamlessly search through past content, through tags and filters. There is room for improvement in the insights part of Kapost where it will be useful to drill down to granular level of marketing metrics.

**Recommendations to others considering Upland Kapost:**

It's a brilliant content marketing tool that helps with task management and content creation. It streamlines the overall content development process. The support team is very helpful and guides you through all the steps thoroughly. Consider starting with simple content material and a basic work glow to get folks used to the tool.

**What problems is Upland Kapost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kapost has made the entire process of content creation and distribution more systematic and effective, while ensuring that no crucial intermediary steps are missed. Everyone in the team can see the progress of a particular project easily, thus improving the transparency at work. It has also become much easier to onboard new content writers and take them through the operational process quickly.

  ### 24. Good if you have the time to populate

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 29, 2017

**What do you like best about Upland Kapost?**

The platform is visually pleasant and the Kapost on-boarding/ account team was very supportive.

**What do you dislike about Upland Kapost?**

As an acid Gsuite and zapier user I didn't see anything about Kapost that couldn't be done using those tools. The way the platform is setup supports content marketing best practices but not something I needed a reminder on.

**What problems is Upland Kapost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were searching for a way to easily manage input on content from multiple stakeholders, project manage content dev, and share our content with execs.

Didn't really solve any of these problems as the product adoption outside of marketing was low.

  ### 25. Kapost is a powerful content managing tool

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jake F. | Social Media and Community Manager, Printing, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 30, 2016

**What do you like best about Upland Kapost?**

Kapost is an all-inclusive content manager that makes organizing product launches much easier and focused. Keeps the whole team on the same page. Very good for record keeping and accountability.

**What do you dislike about Upland Kapost?**

Needs global search - search is fairly weak.
Needs to sync with Google Drive (dev team is in process of working on this I believe).
Video viewer is low quality.
Word Press plug in is not both ways - only works for uploading.
Plugins all around need to work better with interface.
Can't plug in google calendar
user interface is not exactly intuitive or well designed. Looks clean enough but could be much better.
Notifications SUCK. They need to be more customizable and better organized.

**Recommendations to others considering Upland Kapost:**

If you are a large marketing organization with a need to organize your projects and tasks, this is a good tool but its not the easiest to pick up.

**What problems is Upland Kapost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Workflow is much tighter and well organized. Processes or more systematic and are easily understood by the whole team. This has made running any project much nicer for the whole team.

  ### 26. Kapost review from a project manager

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emily R. | Marketing Project Manager, Printing, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2016

**What do you like best about Upland Kapost?**

A great tool for multiple projects occurring at the same time. The company I work with will have over 20 to 30 projects going on at the same time. It has the great ability to template out the content and project pieces you routinely use. In addition, it has the ability to create custom fields that allow you to track the metadata of all our tasks and projects. One of the best parts I think about Kapost, is its accountability, it keeps everyone honest and tracks the commenting activity.

**What do you dislike about Upland Kapost?**

There have been a few glitches, the integration with Google docs could be improved. It can be a little annoying when the wrong Google doc is attached to the content piece, because you have to delete and recreate the content piece.

**Recommendations to others considering Upland Kapost:**

Absolutely have someone who focuses on Kapost solely, if nothing but in the beginning. The trainings are great and important. It is a bit confusing at first, but once you just dive in this tool will be a massive part of your team.

**What problems is Upland Kapost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Task management. The sheer volume of content our Marketing department creates and promotes is immense. This tool also allows us to see the calendar of our content, which helps with scheduling and organizing the content, in a way that will be the most helpful to the customers we serve.

  ### 27. Great project management tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Upland Kapost?**

Kapost is a great tool for multiple departments co-managing projects. It provides visibility into the entire project's lifecycle from beginning to end. Numerous communication methods enable you to stay on task and informed on the latest changes within a project. Users can access all content in one place and a dashboard shows all tasks assigned to you that still need completed. Materials are easy to search, with a variety of filter categories to show only what you need and want to see.

**What do you dislike about Upland Kapost?**

Organization -- unless a standardized naming convention for files is in place, large dumps of content can easily get 'lost' if not organized in a standardized manner for everyone involved. Also, ease of use and functionality is limited when sending out reviews to non-Kapost users.

**Recommendations to others considering Upland Kapost:**

The software continues to improve -- Kapost does a great job listening to users and using their feedback when making improvements.

**What problems is Upland Kapost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kapost is being used to manage a wide range of marketing content across three collaborating organizations (corporation, agency and publishing company). It has greatly helped increase visibility into marketing efforts, shows where projects stand in the pipeline and provides a central location to store and find all materials.

  ### 28. Very quick way to access collateral

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brandon H. | iSales Manager (Inside Sales Manager), Marketing and Advertising, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 28, 2016

**What do you like best about Upland Kapost?**

In my experience, this has been the quickest and easiest way I've had access to to access sales collateral. Everything is laid out in categories and there is no searching through company intranets, SalesForce, etc then verifying it's up to date. It's simple to go into Kapost, find the category (or search) and then pull up the collateral that is the most recent.

**What do you dislike about Upland Kapost?**

It might just be the way we are integrated, but I wish the collateral through Kapost could be sent through Marketo so we can track the open/clicks in the emails. I was not around when we implemented this, so I don't know if this is possible and we just aren't doing it that way.

**What problems is Upland Kapost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I manage reps who have to sell a wide range of products through a medium range sales cycle. We have so much data and collateral. It makes it easier for them to find what they need (or stuff they didn't know we had) at the right time. Email quality has improved.

  ### 29. Kapost is Awesome!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Megan T. | Sales and Marketing Coordinator, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 15, 2016

**What do you like best about Upland Kapost?**

Kapost allows our team to stay on track through their project management interface.

**What do you dislike about Upland Kapost?**

Kapost changed a bunch of features in their content gallery recently and did not give us enough heads up on how this would affect our Salesforce integration. We had to scurry to fix a few things, but it all worked out.

**Recommendations to others considering Upland Kapost:**

It is a great tool! It is my favorite project management tool I have used.

**What problems is Upland Kapost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kapost allows us to churn out content faster than ever before. In an industry that is moving incredibly fast, we have to be able to keep up. Kapost also helps keep people accountable in real time; no one can fall behind on tasks when we have the ability to help keep people on track by using tasks.

  ### 30. Great for organization of teams and content but still some minor bugs

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Susan K. | Content Coordinator and Editor, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 18, 2016

**What do you like best about Upland Kapost?**

Kapost, in my mind, has improved our marketing team in two big ways: through their workflow feature and through their very in-depth filtering functionality. Before Kapost, we didn't have a formal way of tracking what stage an asset was at in the workflow, and now it's very easy to see who has seen the document and what has been done. We use the "share task" feature to alert the next person that something needs to be done, and being able to set deadlines in Kapost removes a lot of ambiguity and keeps people on their toes more than informal verbal or email deadlines do.

The filtering is also helpful because we're 5 years into our company and we've started to realize we have A LOT of content created. Now we can easily find things by assigning a myriad of tags, like target audience and difficulty of material.

And finally, in the last week I've really gotten into the habit of emailing Kapost Support, and they are really fast to respond and really friendly people. Katie at Kapost made me a custom video to answer a question I had, and I think it's nice to have such individualized attention.

**What do you dislike about Upland Kapost?**

We've come across several bugs that, while not central to our use of the product, occasionally slow down our process. We really rely on some other packages, like Salesforce, and we're having some issues right now sending certain content types (videos) to Salesforce unless they're embedded. You can't just link to YouTube.

That's a very specific problem, though, but I think they're still in the process of fixing a lot of these more fine-detailed issues. The only major problem is the search functionality isn't as perfect as I would like. You can search by exact phrases only. Since one of the biggest strengths of Kapost as a CMS is how detailed you can get with tagging and filtering, it'd be great if one day the search function can work just as effectively for finding long-lost content.

**Recommendations to others considering Upland Kapost:**

Make sure to make use of their support team. They're more than happy to help with any question big or small.

**What problems is Upland Kapost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The time-old adage is that time is money, and I think synchronizing our workflow has only increased how effectively content gets to publication. Things don't get lost in someone's inbox. Also, by being able to find our older content so easily (through their superb filtering functionality), we've been encouraged to see what's performing and repurpose our best content. It's only a shame to not do that, and Kapost makes organizing a large mass of content really easy. It's definitely helped us.

  ### 31. Kapost has helped us to stay organized, be more strategic, and measure ROI of content marketing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 18, 2016

**What do you like best about Upland Kapost?**

There are a lot of things to like about Kapost. First, having all of our content in one place is essential. The workflows help our internal teams to collaborate and reinforce predetermined flows to improve organization. The editorial calendar is pretty handy for planning and communication as well. But the thing that gives us the most value is the insights that Kapost provides. Being able to see overall content engagement across channels and quickly measure what is working and what is not is fantastic. Kapost's content scoring model actually lets us attribute a dollar amount of ROI to our content which is something we've not been able to easily do in the past.

**What do you dislike about Upland Kapost?**

There are a few things that I've heard from the team regularly. The first is that Kapost can be pretty noisy with notifications, but this is something that the product team is working on actively and we've already seen a lot of improvement on. The second is that it would be really great to be able to customize the gallery to be aligned with our brand. And lastly, I would say from a scalability perspective, Kapost can be rather pricey for a large team. We're constantly having to analyze our license usage and determine if people really "need" seats, and it would be wonderful to not have to watch that quite so carefully.

**Recommendations to others considering Upland Kapost:**

I had used Compendium (Oracle Marketing Cloud) previous to using Kapost and, after we switched, the difference was immediately positive. Kapost has (mostly) everything we could need/want and it's much more user friendly than Compendium.

**What problems is Upland Kapost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Content planning, measurement of content efforts, efficiency of collaboration, content distribution

  ### 32. Good marketing collaboration product

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 15, 2016

**What do you like best about Upland Kapost?**

I like the collaboration aspect so you can see the progress and notes from all involved. It's nice to see everything in one spot. Also great to have access to content in one area.

**What do you dislike about Upland Kapost?**

Custom reports should be customizable to have categories arranged in an order that makes sense, not alphabetical order as exists now. I lodged this complaint/request with our Kapost contact several times. Baked in fields such as dates and locations should feed into custom reports which isn't possible now, so need to add these in as custom fields to populate reporting. Issue is someone filling in the baked in fields and not the custom fields and therefore doesn't populate reporting. You really shouldn't have to do this twice anyway.

**Recommendations to others considering Upland Kapost:**

Compare it to what you currently use to see if it has the features you are looking for.

**What problems is Upland Kapost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Collaboration on a project is a big benefit. Everyone seeing the progress of a project easily. Calendarization is key to see what is going on at any given time.

  ### 33. A great soup-to-nuts content production tool still working out what it wants to be when it grows up

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Debbie P. | Content Strategy and Operations, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 18, 2015

**What do you like best about Upland Kapost?**

Kapost is a dedicated content production tool that packages together critical production capabilities that no other tool has done.

**What do you dislike about Upland Kapost?**

Lack of customizeability in the platform. Some of the features are designed to support processes few people follow, but you can't remove them. I believe this is a result of earlier product iterations where the customer base was smaller and they were still guessing at what the platform should offer and how.

**Recommendations to others considering Upland Kapost:**

Don't bite off more than you can chew when you first implement. Start with building out just a handful of content types and simple workflows to get people used to the tool and to win buy-in from your users. Remember: This is not just a new tool for most people — it's a new mindset for content creation that they've probably never experienced before.

**What problems is Upland Kapost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Kapost to streamline production of content, specific to content type, initiatives, etc. It has definitely worked in a big way for us and has allowed us to onboard new content creators much more efficiently and effectively. Furthermore, the we now have a system for tagging our content and making it searchable by anything we want: customer type, level of technicality, persona, buying stage, industry topic ... the sky is the limit here. Kapost has made content management and maintenance so much less manual; It has been phenomenal in that way.

  ### 34. Kapost: One-Stop Shop for Most Marketing Content Creation

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 15, 2016

**What do you like best about Upland Kapost?**

Kapost is a great tool for marketing teams that create different kinds of content, graphics and videos to track progress and ask for review in one interface. The product team seems to be open to improvements. My colleague submitted a file we wanted to store in Kapost and a month later, the capability was added for SVG files.

**What do you dislike about Upland Kapost?**

Kapost is a newer product so there are still navigational bugs in the system from an efficiency perceptive. The product is also dependent on all reviewers buy-in to using the platform so it is not as helpful if you need high-level review from teams outside marketing.

**What problems is Upland Kapost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kapost solves many project management aspects of creating marketing content. The automated workflows allow for faster setup of common assets and automatically remind team mates of deadlines and upcoming requests. It streamlines content creation.

  ### 35. Not just a Content Management Tool, but useful for many other cases

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Natasha K. | Sr. Marketing Campaign Manager, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 18, 2015

**What do you like best about Upland Kapost?**

I like the workflows built into the Content pages in Kapost. It's easy to use and intuitive. I also like how it easy it is to collaborate and work on one content piece with team members (share and notify users to complete tasks). The calendar feature is very helpful to see all of our content pieces in calendar format.

**What do you dislike about Upland Kapost?**

Sometimes it's slow and there could be more links from section to section. I would like to be able to easily get back to the campaign page from each individual asset (submitted this request to Kapost already).

**What problems is Upland Kapost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're solving lots of challenges with Kapost, including content strategy, sales enablement, and project management. Out of the different types of content, we definitely use Kapost for all of the tasks for blog post since it has a slick Wordpress integration.

  ### 36. Robust Content Management Tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lisa M. | Demand Analytics Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 28, 2015

**What do you like best about Upland Kapost?**

Kapost has helped our team seamlessly coordinate production of content. With a lot of content in production it was previously very tough to keep track of what was being produced and what was in the pipeline. With Kapost it is much easier to keep track of your tasks and see when content goes live.

**What do you dislike about Upland Kapost?**

There are improvements that could be made to the insights component of Kapost. It would be helpful to have more custom ways to view the data.

**Recommendations to others considering Upland Kapost:**

This is a great content management tool that helps with project management and content production.

**What problems is Upland Kapost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kapost helps our team push content into production without missing any key steps. It serves as a nice project management tool for the team and offers a great content library to view all previously published content.

  ### 37. Coordinating and publishing content for large tech enterprise

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 20, 2016

**What do you like best about Upland Kapost?**

Feature-rich and able to streamline large-scale content operations. We were able to maintain content for a large enterprise thought leadership blog.

**What do you dislike about Upland Kapost?**

Almost too complex. We found it challenging to have the whole team -- client and agency side -- following the same processes within the tool.

**What problems is Upland Kapost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helped to streamline our overall content calendar, with several key touch points available for each stage of review.

  ### 38. Love Kapost!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Molly P. | Member, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 21, 2015

**What do you like best about Upland Kapost?**

As the Email Marketing Specialist at my company, Kapost allows me to easily keep track of our busy email schedule. I can communicate effectively and efficiently will every person involved in email creation/design.

**What do you dislike about Upland Kapost?**

It would be nice if it were easier to notify people of current and upcoming tasks, maybe an alternative to email. Overall, the functionality of Kapost works well for the role I'm in.

**Recommendations to others considering Upland Kapost:**

If you have many people involved in content creation and need to make things easier, get Kapost ASAP!

**What problems is Upland Kapost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This helps me speed up the email process and allows me to get work done faster.

  ### 39. Great product! Great people! But needs to step it up a notch.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Hardware | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 15, 2016

**What do you like best about Upland Kapost?**

Product is very easy to use. The existing integrations are very simple to setup. Our customer success manager is great.

**What do you dislike about Upland Kapost?**

The analytics data is very simple and does not allow for much customization. Workflows are really difficult to work with and build. Most product changes/suggestions are directed to a crowd sourcing request portal and not considered by a real human.

**Recommendations to others considering Upland Kapost:**

Review the workflows and make sure it covers everything you ed.

**What problems is Upland Kapost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Centralizing our content creation, management and reporting.

  ### 40. Great content tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Julia F. | PR Specialist, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 18, 2015

**What do you like best about Upland Kapost?**

Kapost is very intuitive and easy to customize.

**What do you dislike about Upland Kapost?**

It can be hard to keep up with renaming features and changing looks, but it's quite intuitive regardless.

**Recommendations to others considering Upland Kapost:**

I absolutely recommend Kapost - it's intuitive, it's easy to customize and generally a great tool for content production.

**What problems is Upland Kapost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Content creation is streamlined and no steps are missed. Kapost makes sure processes are followed and eliminates any kind of confusion about content status.

  ### 41. Best Content Management Platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 30, 2015

**What do you like best about Upland Kapost?**

I can't even remember what we did before Kapost, but there is no way we could ever go back. Kapost keeps all of our content in one place, keeps all editors and authors on task, gives us valuable insights, and has truly streamlined our content execution strategy.

**What do you dislike about Upland Kapost?**

The platform could have stronger social media publishing options and a better campaign tracking views, but we currently use other tools for those purposes. Down the road, I'd like to see Kapost have a much more robust social media management offering as part of their content management platform.

**Recommendations to others considering Upland Kapost:**

Go for it. You'll never go back.

**What problems is Upland Kapost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

No more versioning and the human error that goes with everyone sending around and editing different versions, especially on a tight deadline. Better communication and efficiency around creating, editing, and approving content. Integration with Marketo has allowed us to streamline our email marketing efforts.

  ### 42. Great Way to Run Content Marketing

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 10, 2014

**What do you like best about Upland Kapost?**

The team is great and open to ideas and ways to make the product even better. I find more and more companies using it as I guest blog for different sites.

**What do you dislike about Upland Kapost?**

It would be great for C-Suite to see the calendar view without having to log into Kapost.

**Recommendations to others considering Upland Kapost:**

Get to know the team there and ask questions. You can learn a lot more from the people that use it often and live and breathe the product.

**What problems is Upland Kapost solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing content on a daily basis as well as organizing contributors, ideas, curation, etc. It's a robust tool for the content marketer.
