# What are the top-rated tour operator systems for small operators managing bookings, guides, and capacity together?

Three that come up most:

Xola (4.5) handles bookings from the website, phone, in person or a reseller against live availability, with detailed control over each listing including split payments and waitlists. Reviewers mention payouts are held longer than on some other platforms, and package discounts are limited.

TRYTN (4.9) carries the highest rating in this category, with a review base almost entirely made up of small operators.

Checkfront (4.4) manages live inventory, dynamic pricing and customer notifications in one place. Reviewers ask for better sub-worker accounts for seeing which days need extra staff, and a few describe a difficult migration onto the platform.

The guide roster would probably be the first thing I’d expect to stay outside the system. Live booking capacity is only truly useful if it reflects both the equipment or vehicle available and the guide qualified to run that departure. I’d test whether assigning a guide automatically changes sellable capacity and prevents double-booking before assuming the platform can replace the whiteboard.
