UpdraftPlus is a reliable tool. It's easy to install and connects with many storage solutions, like Dropbox, GDrive, etc. It is fairly easy to restore specific parts or a site, like plugins, database or uploads. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It was challenging to set the management of versions. It is possible to set how many versions to keep and when to delete older copies, yet the interface wasn't very intuitive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

OK. I have to admit it. I did watch a few YouTube videos and tutorials. But it involved simple steps, it gave feedback during the process, and it worked exactly as described. My entire WordPress site displayed perfectly on first launch with no changes needed (by me anyway). All the scripts and changes were done by the Migration process. The only thing I will mention is that you have to click the very small 3 dots menu when you go to send the backup to the other site where you can chose the plugins, themes, etc. It doesn't expand that list and the buttons until you click those 3 dots. It just doesn't work. The documentation says that it works by making a backup and moving the backup to the new s ite. The backup has been running for 2 days and shows no sign of finishing. Is this a time saver? Save your money and move your sites manually. The manual way takes time, but you'll get it done. This was $30 thrown away, and now I will move the site manually anyway. Before changing the website, before installing a new plugin, or removing an installed plugin, we make a backup with UpdraftPlus, and even download that BU to the office computer. Just to be sure, creating peace of mind. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Example: the backup is splitting up the plugins. Numbering those backed-up plugins starts at (2); the first batch doesn't have a number. I would like the first batch to have (1). For the rest: no complaints. The plugin is extraordinary. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Having backups I can rely on has saved both my companies a lot of heartaches, having our sites hacked or broken by wonky updates has been a breeze running a restore and getting up and running in minutes not days. we use the backup to one drive feature so I have my backups archived on one drive, can't ask for more, I'm so happy with this product we recommend it to all our customers. It does what it says on the tin. A robust, secure, intuitive piece of software (even if you are not exceptionally technically minded) that allows you to safely backup and recover one or more sites. Other addons do that, but Updraft premium enables you to migrate and clone your sites rather than the messy SQL editing and searching through the code for buried URLs and links, at little cost.

It has saved my bacon on more than one occasion as I have inadvertently broken a site and recovered it in a day (delete the old one, install basic WordPress, Updraft addon, recover and go).
