I find UpdraftPlus dependable for making automated backups for websites and enjoy using it to migrate sites from non-production to production environments. The automatic URL replacement when switching environments is a feature I really like. There are also great options for backup settings, and I often use the find and replace text feature in the database, like changing an HTML color for a global update. Been using updraftplus for 4 to 5 years, and it was working great. I am using updraftplus now since almost 4 years (July 2020)I am very satisfied. It's easy to set up and handle, makes reliable backups on schedule and whenever something is updated. Whenever something goes wrong for example a plug-in update it's easy to restore the version before. For me as a web designer it's very useful to make clones for testing purposes and to migrate my developing environment to life sites. The support is quick and reliable! I generally install updraft plus on every new WordPress website I manage. It's very easy to setup and it's a reliable tool for backups. I've also used it to migrate sites by backing up and downloading the database and assets (uploads) and then importing these to a fresh WordPress installation on another server. Ideally it would be cheaper and then be in a position to manager more customer websites. Sometime the auto sync with Dropbox isn't as straight forward. But Updraft provides clear instructions as to how to resolve it. I enjoy working with Updraft Plus because it's so simple to use and goal-oriented. We use it on all our websites and sincerely, It's worth it. The plugin offers a variety of backup options (local storage and cloud storage). The cloud storage option is my favorite because it allows us to store our site's content directly on Drive and Dropbox which helps to save extra space on our servers that would have been used up by the backups. I usually perform both the cloud and local storage backups (for safety convenience) and restoring the backups is super easy and straightforward.
