"Centralizes Operations, Speeds Up HR Processes"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Unit4 ERP?

I really like how Unit4 ERP centralizes operations and automates workflow, which helps organizations struggling with inefficiency, siloed data, or manual processing. It improves collaboration across teams, which is great. I especially appreciate the HR and payroll modules, as they offer employee self-service management and speed up processes, making them less time-consuming. The automation aspect of Unit4 ERP is something I really like because it saves time, reduces human errors, and handles repetitive tasks efficiently. Overall, these features help us manage finances, HR, and projects effectively while keeping things streamlined. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Unit4 ERP?

I think the integration and automation aspects could always be improved. There's always room for improvement because, while it helps reduce duplicate data entries and errors, and saves time with automation, as more complex systems get implemented, it becomes necessary to enhance the automation processes to match these new complexities. Also, the initial setup wasn't the easiest and depends on various factors, including organization size. It's not a plug-and-play solution and requires customization and configuration, making it moderately complex, especially if you need to train employees on it. "Powerful Flexibility but Difficult Implementation"
3/5
What do you like best about Unit4 ERP?

I love the flexibility of Unit4 ERP and its simple database access that allows us to implement automations to meet our specific needs. The solution also offers advancements in reporting design and interfaces well with other applications, which is important for us as it acts as an IT hub. It's a centralized tool that combines time management, absence, expense notes, project, billing, and accounting functions, which is convenient for having everything in one tool. What do you dislike about Unit4 ERP?

I find it difficult to have expert resources on Unit4 ERP, as there are few consultants available. The system's flexibility is sometimes a disadvantage because it doesn't force us to thoroughly review our processes, which is essential. The on-premise version can be slow and poses performance issues. Additionally, it is long and complex to develop the necessary skills to fully exploit Unit4 ERP. It also lacks a function to copy a model entity, which is a real pain for us because it means we have to retest everything each time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined Data Access with Easy Reporting"
5/5
What do you like best about Unit4 ERP?

I really like that Unit4 ERP gives me a single view of all the information I need, which makes reporting and tracking activities easy. The reporting analytics are really useful, and exporting data for analysis is easy, reducing manual spreadsheet work and providing quick access to accurate info. I also appreciate the workforce management features that help with viewing team allocations, tracking availability, and planning resources, which improve planning and prevent over-allocation. It's quick to get reliable information, making it easy to run reports and export data to Excel, saving time and helping me answer business questions faster. Overall, it simplifies managing projects and information in one place, and the setup process is pretty straightforward. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Unit4 ERP?

I feel that the user interface could be more intuitive, and the access to reporting could be simplified, as some processes seem more complex than necessary. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Centralized ERP with Intuitive UI and Flexibility"
4/5
What do you like best about Unit4 ERP?

I like that Unit4 ERP brings different business processes into one platform, which improves visibility across finance and operational data. The interface is relatively intuitive, which makes it easier to use. I appreciate the flexibility in adapting processes to different business needs. I also enjoy the automation capabilities that reduce repetitive manual tasks and standardize workflows, and I find the reporting and visibility features very useful for accessing necessary information quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Unit4 ERP?

I found the user experience around some of the more complex features could be improved, as there was a learning curve for new users like me who recently switched to the platform. The advanced workflows and configuration options were particularly challenging, and a more guided onboarding process with clearer step-by-step tutorials and practical examples would be really helpful. Additionally, setting up and navigating the more advanced workflows took some time, so having more intuitive guidance and simpler configuration would make onboarding better and reduce the learning curve. "Unit4 ERP: Solid, Flexible ERP with Strong Financials, Reporting, and Automation"
4/5
What do you like best about Unit4 ERP?

Unit4 ERP is a solid and flexible ERP solution, especially for service-based and project-driven organizations. It offers strong financial management, reporting, project accounting, and automation. The system provides good visibility across business processes and can be customized to fit specific organizational needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Unit4 ERP?

I didn't identify them. Sometimes Unit4 ERP can be quite complex to implement and may require significant customization and training. I also may find the interface less intuitive, and reporting or configuration can take time to set up properly. The overall cost and complexity may also be relatively high for smaller organizations in my opinion. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Efficient for Service-Oriented Firms, But Needs Better Usability"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Unit4 ERP?

I like Unit4 ERP's project and people-centric design, which feels naturally oriented towards how project-based businesses actually operate, unlike many other ERP platforms that feel built for manufacturing and then awkwardly adapted for service organizations. The financial visibility at the project level is genuinely useful, allowing me to see budget versus actuals without needing custom reports or manual data pulls. I appreciate how the platform handles timesheet management, project budget tracking, and resource utilization without feeling like workarounds. The alignment with workflows that matter most to service organizations meant less customization was needed, allowing implementation efforts to focus on specific organizational requirements. This also helped to get clients up and running within a reasonable timeframe. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Unit4 ERP?

The reporting flexibility is probably the most consistent frustration across the engagements I worked on. Getting specific operational views or custom reports built out required more technical involvement than end users could manage independently, and for organizations without dedicated ERP support resources that dependency created bottlenecks. The standard reports cover the basics but anything beyond that becomes a configuration project. The interface also feels dated in certain areas. Navigation is not always intuitive and there were recurring situations where team members needed guidance on finding specific functions even after initial training. For a platform being positioned around people and usability that gap between the promise and the day to day experience was noticeable, and contributed to slower adoption than the implementation timeline had anticipated in a couple of cases. "Unified Client Management, Needs Better CRM and Integration"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Unit4 ERP?

I appreciate how Unit4 ERP serves as a single source of truth for handling the entire client lifecycle. With everything flowing through one platform, I don't have to jump between different tools to track where a client is in the process, whether it's onboarding, billing, or account history. This continuity is significant because it saves me time and reduces errors like invoicing mistakes or missed steps in onboarding. It also enhances the accuracy of information, which is crucial in a regulated industry like mortgage lending, where mistakes can be costly. Additionally, the platform simplifies reporting and makes gaining visibility into operations much easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Unit4 ERP?

Honestly, there are a few areas where it could be stronger, especially for mortgage. The CRM side isn't really built for what we need. Managing borrower relationships and lead nurturing works, but it's not the platform's strength, and we end up leaning on it harder than it was probably designed for. I'd love to see deeper CRM functionality there. The other thing is integrations specific to financial services. Connecting to credit bureaus, appraisal services, the kinds of third-party systems that are core to how a mortgage company operates, that's not as seamless as it could be. Better industry-specific APIs or pre-built connectors would save a lot of work. And performance under high transaction volumes is something I notice. When things get heavy, month-end, big batches, it can slow down in ways that are noticeable. For a system that's meant to be the backbone of operations, you want it to feel rock-solid even when the load is high. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
