I tend to bounce between tasks and forget that I need to track my time for each client individually. TimeCamp allows me to work the way I naturually work without stressing about losing track of time. I don't have to worry about "starting the clock," which I'll forget 90% of the time. Instead, my app and even tab-level usage is tracked automatically in the background, and I can login to TimeCamp later and easily identify how much time I spent on different tasks for different clients. Signing up and downloading TimeCamp was extremely quick and easy, and I didn't have to do anything differently to integrate it into my workflow. It's been such a useful tool that I now recommend it to my clients. **What do you dislike about TimeCamp?** There's nothing that I dislike about TimeCamp, but I will say that I'm not using it for all of its robust features. I have a very specific use case, and it meets my particular needs 100%. I can't say that will be true for everyone, but it works for me. **What problems is TimeCamp solving and how is that benefiting you?** I have ADHD and am time-blind, meaning that I can't sense how long things take. I also tend to forget to start tracking my time - I'll be in the middle of a task for a client and remember that I need to track my time but have no idea how long I've been working. That's where TimeCamp's automatic time tracking feature comes in. When this happens, I can login to TimeCamp and easily see when I started working on something. ### 2. The fact that I can enter a fee and it tells me when I am over is always very good ! There is so much the love. But think the fact that I can switch the bill or not to off is also fantastic ! In our work is happens a lot that it is a billable client but you made a mistake so you cannot bill the time but need to know how much time was spent on that. I always had a problem with my employees not submitting timesheets or only completing at end of month and then they thumb suck. No I can see everyday what they are working on, if they submitted and the prompt to submit every week is very helpful. Customer support was great every time I did not understand or needed help. Once I got little support it was also much easier to implement what I needed to achieve my end result. I use this every single working day and even keep better track of which days employees was on sick leave or annual leave as we are very small so not always that strict on paperwork to my own disadvantage so this has overall improved my goals and profit and even which clients was not worth keeping. **What do you dislike about TimeCamp?** Not much :) The only improvement I would love is if you can pause and resume your timer as I still find the desktop app a bit annoying and double work but keep running because if I do forget to change my time when moving task or is unsure I can easily determine that with my computer activities but also does not track activity automatically if I not attend to ,It happens a lot that I am working on someone and someone calls me or I quickly need to get up and assist someone and then it is nice to just quickly pause for that few minutes and resume when I am done - now I have to make a whole new entry when I had to stop. as we work solely based on time based invoicing it is important to pause when I am not working on the client but not necessary to record the quick time away. So now I had to create a project for personal stuff or doing work but not something I will have to know for time spent on the client or attending to personal books. But that is about the only thing that I would be able to change if I could. Sometimes takes more effort to book a new line with what I am doing and creating a time entry for pausing to do Admin than to pause and not keep record of that. There is probably a way via desktop app but would still prefer to do it all in on place to pause for walk in client or admin related stuff. with everything timecamp can actually report on it would be nice to enter data to see like in my profession what employees actually generate ( we work on a basic model of you need to book ( billable) three times your salary cost that I can invoice clients to be eligable to get increase or bonus. I can work this out manually but will be nice if it is calculating monthly without manual reports from my side. Will then also be able to very quickly see if it is worth giving commission on billable hours above certain target. For someone not invoicing directly out of app it would be nice if you I can indicate when someone was invoiced the same week for certain activities and time should not be included in total of period selected again or shows as invoiced but this is just a nice to have. **What problems is TimeCamp solving and how is that benefiting you?** Just to make sure that time is captured to bill clients correctly. Using other apps did not work so well and not just as easy as time camp. This app solved a few problems I had all in one app! But to be able see exactly what is billable and what not makes my invoicing so much more effective. And the fact that we can time track even when it is not billable give you a very good idea on what is "wasting time", how much time is spent on mistakes and what money is "lost" due to clients that have a fixed price monthly but in the end demand so much extra time. Not over-automated, leaves me in control of the program and its results. Seems to be kind of new, but recent improvements have been good. It took awhile for me to get used to using the program, but it has grown on me. It's super easy to use and I really enjoy tracking my time in "calendar mode" where I very quickly can add the time I spent on each project or task. The reports are super useful for keeping track on how much time I've worked in my projects in a particular, week, month or year. **What do you dislike about TimeCamp?** It's sometimes easier to delete a time block and add a new one if I've filled in the wrong project instead of just updating the existing one. My company has split all our clients into their own tasks which ensures we charge the correct client the correct amount of hours. It's also easy to generate reporting data for your allocated tasks. **What do you dislike about TimeCamp?** The only thing I don't like about TC is the fact that setting time is the scroll input method like with a date selected. I want the text field method back. It is a lot easier to enter the time I want. This is why I use this every single day. It is also very easy to use! For as long as you switch it on and mindful of telling TimeCamp what task it is that you're doing, TimeCamp will take care of providing you the stats. These stats will then tell you whether you're spending too much time on one thing and not on the others. It's more than just about productivity though. It's also about better account-based management. If you know how much time you spend on one project, you can charge that project the commensurate amount of money. You can derive a lot of decisions from that kind of information. **What do you dislike about TimeCamp?** I use Looker Studio to visualise the data from TimeCamp. I still have to download the data manually to update my charts and tables. I needed a tool to help me capture my time spent on various projects directly from iCalendar on my Macs. I tried a few apps but none did the job better than TimeCamp does in synching. Using Keywords in my Calendar time entries hte time gets associated automatically to the proper project. Generating invoices at the end of the month for my various mandates becomes kids-play. And to top it all of is synchs those invoices with Quickbooks which saves me again time. The app is very user-friendly and support is excellent **What do you dislike about TimeCamp?** Nothing so far! I havent' found anything I don't like about this app **What problems is TimeCamp solving and how is that benefiting you?** Duplicate entries of time in my Calendar and then in a time capture /. Allows me to see what I have been doing at anytime during the day and use this to fill out timesheets and daily logs in greater detail with confidence. The ability to go back several days/weeks/months to any day is perfect so I can see what I was doing on any particular day in the past Visble gaps in the green timesheet timeline make it easy to see when I have been in or out of office so making it easy to track meeting, visits or down time. I like the ability to view all project hours separately on a daily/weekly/monthly period depanding on which timesheet view is selected **What do you dislike about TimeCamp?** The inabilty to select several lines as a consilidated block, like you woud do in excel, without having to click checkbox on every line is slow and timeconsuming, and TBH quite frustrating. The level of detail available in exported records, in excel or PDF, is not the same as is viewable on screen which is dissapointing. As such these exports are not all that useful as they dont seem to be able to be manipulated easily by other programs ( This may not be the true case as I'm only using the free version as this doers everything I need as a sole trader business) The ablity to select or copy the text of any particular line entry is not possible, selecting just moves the time record which is annoying. Not able to "undelete" any item once deleted, unless your very quick, no crtl+z function to undo any mistakes. Sometimes a message saying something went wrong, reload page, pops up and can be confusing. Sometime lines selected with checkbox somehow unselect themselves so you have to do it again which is frustrating if trying to allocate several separate lines to move from one section to another **What problems is TimeCamp solving and how is that benefiting you?** Helps me remember what I was doing during the course of every day, its easy to forget what you were doing at any one time, when the most important thing is getting the work done, and then recording what you did, and for how long. Timecamp remember what youve done, so you can spend your day productively without having to break off and log each task, prevents losing track of thought and gives you the confidence that whatever you did wont be forgotten. I can then look back at the tasks and move anything that was incorrectly categorized. I can also see the tasks by the time they were done. The reporting features are also really nice. **What do you dislike about TimeCamp?** If I forget to move change what I'm working on and need to go back to select tasks to move them, there is no quick way to select (drag through tasks or click on the top record hold ctrl-shift and click the bottom record, etc.). What I like the most is that those reports help me to be transparent with my clients so they know exactly what are they paying for. And on the other side it also helps me to better know how much time I dedicate in average to a project, so I can make better quotations to future clients. Timecamp is a reliable app, I use the free version, and I have already considered the paid version as it empowers me with many other features, like setting the wage for hour and send a payment link as far as I know, that woul dbe good for me for international clients, but at the moment as I don't need it I can keep working on the free version. **What do you dislike about TimeCamp?** That sometimes it is a bit confusing how to see the reports data and that if I forget to pause the timer it'll keep on running. It would be good to set the working hours so it automatically stops in non-working hours, and if you reach the working hour limit, a notification to keep it running would help, as some projects need more time. That being said, it would also be great to be able to set an extra charge for non-working hours, and if we can separate the total charge for the hours worked during non-working hours from the normal fare of the regular working hours, that could help us to better charge the client if they have urgency. **What problems is TimeCamp solving and how is that benefiting you?** Keep control of how long the projects really take, so I can beetet quote for new projects and also charge correctly to clients that pay for hour. ### 27. I can easily create projects and tasks and track the time I spend working on each. If I forget to put on the timer, no worries. I can always add other time logs manually. On the free plan you can only downlad reports on PDF, but thats more tha enough, since you can filter your reports (by users, days, projects, tasks, etc) so easily and then export exacty what you want. I almost always use the web version, but the desktop app is also fantastic. I use TimeCamp every day as a freelancer and I love it. **What do you dislike about TimeCamp?** The only thing that I would like to see (perrhaps its already available for paid plans, I don't know if its available for free plans) has to be the ability for the tracker to also track what apps are we using while tracking a task. For example, if I tracked a 2 hr task, perhaps the log could tell me how much time out of those 2 hours I spent working on a particular software like Adobe Premiere or Illustrator. I believe I can track the time spent on a browser like Chrome/Safari with the browser plugin, but not sure how to track other software. **What problems is TimeCamp solving and how is that benefiting you?** As a freelancer, I charge my clinets at certain time rates. TimeCamp lets me keep track of each task of every project I work on, then lets me organize and filter all the time logs on different reports so that my clients can see exactly how much time I'm billing them. We have detected some spelling errors in that option or words in another language that need to be translated. • Sometimes it is necessary to refresh the browser's web page so that information or platform changes are updated for all users. • The users and roles panel in the projects section can be a bit visually heavy, since “by default” it displays all the users that are assigned to clients and projects. • At first, it can be a little confusing to use the Timesheet to correctly select and track tasks. This section could be a little more intuitive for everyday use. • Regarding use for supervisors, some steps could be reduced when generating projects, adding some more options within the configuration of the teams and users.
