They're small, but they are always there when I need them, and I've never had a bad experience with them. They've been incredibly helpful, especially when I needed to rebuild our ThinPrint from scratch. No issue was too complicated for them to solve. ThinPrint also integrates very well with our Citrix VDA environment, and it's seamless for the users—they haven't had any issues with it. I find the initial setup very straightforward; downloading, installing, and configuring components like the license server and ThinPrint ports was easy. The product performs substantially better for us than previous solutions like Citrix Universal Printing, offering reliable performance for our needs. **What do you dislike about ThinPrint?** One issue that I came across was the event log that ThinPrint provides doesn't really explain why two print servers are not communicating with each other. The virtual driver for printers intercepts all standard requests and offers a robust printing solution for local and RDS environments. Additionally, there is a large knowledge base that provides excellent support during the initial setup. We use Thinprint in both small and large RDS environments, as well as in local structures. **What do you dislike about ThinPrint?** Troubleshooting can quickly become very complicated and lengthy without prior training. However, Thinprint offers very good training on all relevant topics. **What problems is ThinPrint solving and how is that benefiting you?** The support from Thinprint is always very fast, technically competent, and friendly. I have only had positive experiences with the colleagues in support so far. ### 3. We don't often have to use support as it just works but when we do, they have been extremely professional and easy to deal with. It's easy to use for both an Administrator and User point of view. **What do you dislike about ThinPrint?** No negatives, I've just recently needed to use their support and they responded extremely quickly, and got the issues resolved. **What problems is ThinPrint solving and how is that benefiting you?** Printer management is extremely hard when you have as many printers as we do and this takes the admin work right out. Its seamless and super fast regardless of the type of documents we print, product labels, shipping labels and plain old business documents. The all just just print perfectly. **What do you dislike about ThinPrint?** We'd love to see ThinPrint support Linux servers as not everybody uses Windows domains in this day and age. **What problems is ThinPrint solving and how is that benefiting you?** Thinprint allows our remote Odoo ERP system reach our output devices on our network through our firewall thus providing us with direct printing solutions without wasting time with the normal web based file/print paradigms or software to deploy on our workstations. This saves us an hour a day per user. Additionally, our bespoke integration can tie a class of document or report to a specific output device right down to the user level. This substantially reduces errors and saves paper because we define where a report is printed. ### 10. Overall we have had WAY fewer printing and printer problems of all sorts since we started using ThinPrint. We also how have visibility of who is printing what to where. **What do you dislike about ThinPrint?** ThinPrint's setup is a bit involved and uses some unfamiliar techniques that you will have to learn - especially if you want to use their reporting/tracking tool. Accessing advanced features of printers can sometimes be challenging. It can be difficult to troubleshoot... when a computer or user doesn't get connected to the printers it's supposed to it can be frustrating trying to figure out why. The logging/reporting engine is a separate add-on installation that changes the way you configure the ports for your ThinPrint printers. **Recommendations to others considering ThinPrint:** Note that if you use VMware Horizon you must be mindful or some potential conflicts with the Horizon Agent's built-in printing features (because it already uses ThinPrint technologies, and introducing full ThinPrint will butt heads with the built-in stuff). This is manageable, but you need to be aware of this. You'll need to uninstall the VMware Remote Printing feature of the Agent -- that's all. **What problems is ThinPrint solving and how is that benefiting you?** We had begun having driver conflict/corruption issues from our Windows print servers that proved challenging or impossible to resolve. We also had to way to measure or report on the use of our printers. ### 11. The support team is very reachable and responsive as well. **What do you dislike about ThinPrint?** There's nothing much to dislike, however the admin/customer portal could be worked improved to provide customers the option to get new license keys when migrating keys from one session host to another. **Recommendations to others considering ThinPrint:** If you are looking for a solution to provide latency printing over low bandwidth or in an RDS environment, I don't think there would be a better choice than Thinprint to handle the requirement. **What problems is ThinPrint solving and how is that benefiting you?** Previously, we had to install the drivers of all the local printers on our session hosts to enable low latency printing. this had created quite a mess on the managing on the printer drivers when we had to retire a printer or add a new printer or even while deploying a new session host. Improved printing speeds by almost 10 times. Installation is quite easy. **What do you dislike about ThinPrint?** Nothing much. However, the product team may consider a more seamless way to do migration of licenses between servers when we have to retire old servers. Currently we would need to reach out to the licensing team to do the transfer. **Recommendations to others considering ThinPrint:** Thin print would be the right toll if you are faced with latency challenges for printing from a virtualized or remote environment. It's also a good tool for print management. **What problems is ThinPrint solving and how is that benefiting you?** Printing from our production environment on Azure was huge challenge due to latency of connection and due to maintenance of printer drivers on each session host. Prior to ThinPrint we used a competing product, but we discovered that product was not utilizing the native print drivers. A huge benefit of ThinPrint is that is utilizes the native print drivers. **What do you dislike about ThinPrint?** It's a little cumbersome to configure. The user settings could be more straightforward. We occasionally have to reboot the Print Server because certain printers decide to stop printing. This seems to happen every 4-6 weeks with certain printers. **What problems is ThinPrint solving and how is that benefiting you?** We needed a solution to provide reliable printing for our hotel Remote Desktop environments. Prior to ThinPrint we had consistent issues with printers going offline. We appreciate the consistency and reliability of ThinPrint. We also like that that the product is Microsoft's WVD official printing partner. The sales process was pretty good too. ### 14.
