## Tether Reviews
  ### 1. Makes life easier!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David G. | Lead Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Tether?**

Helps me pinpoint specific scenarios to see how Agents are handling. Identifies opportunities for coaching, whether for Marketing or Regulatory Compliance reasons.

**What do you dislike about Tether?**

It's a big beast with many moving parts. Occasionally, things that worked last week, don't work this week. However, support has been on point and quick to turnaround requests.

**What problems is Tether solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Transcript search is extremely useful and helps cut down on time spent listening to random calls trying to find specific scenarios.

  ### 2. Effortless Search Makes Finding Details a Breeze

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hushen J. | Quality analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Tether?**

You can easily find anything you need, such as the reason for a call, customer sentiment, and many other details.

**What do you dislike about Tether?**

There is nothing I dislike about Tether; everything works well and meets my expectations.

**What problems is Tether solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are gathering phrases and creating scripts, which helps us understand multiple customer concerns within a single line.

  ### 3. Like commenting a PDF, but for dynamic web contents

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kevin C. | Head of Partnerships and Research, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 07, 2023

**What do you like best about Tether?**

Providing feedback on website copy, design and feature implementation via Tether is just about as simple as annotating a PDF mockup while allowing for the full functionality of digital products to be reviewed. Using Tether also reduced the amount of back-and-forth email traffic between our company and the development company we work with. The ability to provide feedback directly on-website without downloading or installing any additional software also meant that sourcing feedback from even less technical stakeholders was straightforward.

**What do you dislike about Tether?**

We encountered a few minor usability issues while using Tether, such as the inability of guest feedback providers to delete issues they submitted. At the same time, Tether employees quickly resolved user experience issues and bugs. I believe the most significant potential for improvement is how Tether enables client teams to manage feedback, for example, by allowing Product Managers to assign specific feedback providers to conduct reviews of certain features.

**What problems is Tether solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The primary business problem addressed by Tether is enabling our team to directly review website and web app design and implementation, rather than needing to provide feedback on a static PDF mockup or manually annotating feedback and sending this via email. This results in a better understanding of the actual functionality of the web pages or features under review and allows us to reduce the amount of time spent providing feedback and clarifications to the development agencies we work with.

  ### 4. Easy to set up feedback tool with great customer support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ambar S. | Founder, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 01, 2023

**What do you like best about Tether?**

Tether is easy to set up and offers a simple way for my app's users to provide feedback and report bugs. The screenshot tool is handy since it reduces the time to investigate what a user sees on a particular page.

**What do you dislike about Tether?**

I don't have any significant dislikes, but there could be more customization features that allow control over Tether's position on the page and the CTA text.

**What problems is Tether solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Capture and organize user feedback and get technical information to facilitate bug resolution.

  ### 5. Tether Revolutionized My Workflow

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michelle M. | Agency Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 15, 2022

**What do you like best about Tether?**

I can't get over how easy the setup process was. Adding it to a site is super simple, and adding guests is just as easy. Even my least tech-savvy clients have been able to jump right in and submit change requests or make suggestions. I don't get any more pictures of notes scratched on paper and sent to my cell phone.

**What do you dislike about Tether?**

So far, I haven't found a single thing I don't like about Tether.

**What problems is Tether solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I offer clients 3 rounds of reviews on website designs and developments. Previously, I would have strings and strings of emails with screenshots or attempts at telling me where on a page they were seeing an issue or wanted a change. Now, all of the reviews and requests are in one place, and all of the conversations are organized. Clients can also see when I'm addressing the requests, so there are fewer status request emails going back and forth, too. It's all just so much more efficient.

**Official Response from Dan Cleary:**

> Hey Michelle, thanks so much for the review! So happy to see that Tether has been helpful for you and your agency. Being former agency owners ourselves, it always makes us smile when we can help other agency folks.

Looking forward to continue to make your life easier! Cheers to keeping notes and screenshots out of your inbox and cell phone inbox!

  ### 6. Tether is a fantastic feedback and bug tool that frees up your time

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** William C. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 09, 2023

**What do you like best about Tether?**

Tether has helped streamline our QA process while allowing our beta users to provide detailed feedback efficiently. It's easy to use and friendly for all users.

**What do you dislike about Tether?**

Overall, I don't have any dislikes and am excited to see the product and company grow and continue to add more beneficial features and optimizations.

**What problems is Tether solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tether is providing a QA and bug tracking tool for both internal and external users allowing us to track everything in one place seamlessly.

  ### 7. Lowers the bar for getting beta user feedback

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2022

**What do you like best about Tether?**

We're a paying customer and like their tool a lot. We used it internally only for a while, but we just turned it on for our beta users recently and have seen an immediate uptick in getting feedback.

**What do you dislike about Tether?**

The customizations require coding, so if you don't like what you get out of the box, the next hurdle up does require some effort. I would love it if there were more widget configuration options available so you could just click some buttons to move the location, change display characteristics of tab, etc.

**What problems is Tether solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's solving for the problem of getting timely feedback to close the loop between programmers and non-programmers, which in our case includes our beta users. We have it integrated into our bug management workflow, so it goes straight from the submission into our developer queue

  ### 8. Involve all stakeholders to improve easily your product

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christian C. | Founder and Managing Partner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 26, 2022

**What do you like best about Tether?**

The ability to report any change made to the product team by any stakeholder. Whether a client request, a feature not working properly, or an enhancement by the copywriter, all go under one hood. It makes the product manager's life easier.
I particularly love the way to report with audio and video cam, works great for client suggestions (and notes to self).
Providing guest access to clients is an amazing capability, staying away from random emails that lack information.

**What do you dislike about Tether?**

In the few months that I have used it, tether has improved drastically. I'm very excited to be able to use it on all platforms in the future, and for now, it's being a great help on desktop.

**What problems is Tether solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Primarlily centralizing feedback in one place, and reducing the number of emails from clients about what they would like to change.
It also provides visibility to them on questions they raise or enhancement we want to make, since they don't have access to our JIRA boards.

  ### 9. Tether is an excellent way to track customer feedback

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dominik P. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 01, 2022

**What do you like best about Tether?**

Tether is easy to install and to maintain. It is also very easy to track bugs or errors on a website. One of the creators (Dan) is very helpful and is always trying to implement user feedback as fast as possible.

**What do you dislike about Tether?**

Nothing I could think about. I'm happy with Tether as it is :-)

**What problems is Tether solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tether is solving the user feedback problem. You can see what the user was doing or look at screenshots they take instead of reading long emails or doing terrible long phone calls

  ### 10. Really makes it easy to review, understand and implement feedback faster

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Prateek A. | Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 23, 2022

**What do you like best about Tether?**

It helps the dev team to review, understand and implement the feedback faster by making the feedback organised with attached screenshots or videos

**What do you dislike about Tether?**

Could have more features in the free plan

**What problems is Tether solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reduced the amount of time required to understand feedback, find the exact location of what is being reffered to and being able to tick it off

  ### 11. Time Saver!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ashwath N. | Senior Advisor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 11, 2022

**What do you like best about Tether?**

It helps us streamline feedback, both internal and external. It allows users to submit feedback whenever they need!

**What do you dislike about Tether?**

Don't necessarily dislike anything - it's been great to use so far!

**What problems is Tether solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's helping us report bugs easier which saves us a lot of time.

  ### 12. Great bug reporting and feedback tool - recommended

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adam F. | Chief Operating Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 16, 2022

**What do you like best about Tether?**

Enables users to report bugs and give feedback directly in the browser, which can also be integrated with Trello (for example). Simple set up (one line of code), and very user friendly

**What do you dislike about Tether?**

Could be easier if it was opened up to all external test users, rather than individual external user accounts

**What problems is Tether solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Non-fatal errors can be reported easier by users, allowing us to get to the bottom of the issue resolve it faster

  ### 13. One in all bug capture and tracking tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sam D. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 31, 2022

**What do you like best about Tether?**

As a product manager turned QA, I felt that Tether broke the need to use many tools to capture and report bugs effectively. It not only helped solve those critical problems but went above and beyond our expectations.

**What do you dislike about Tether?**

I didn't find anything odd or any feature unnecessary.

**Recommendations to others considering Tether:**

If you're using multiple apps/software to capture, share and track bugs during your development cycle, then I'd say Tether is a must.

**What problems is Tether solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I used to have multiple tools to capture and track bugs.
(1) A way to capture bug screenshots - MS paint or snipping tool.
(2) A video explanation - Loom or a zoom call
(3) Reporting mechanism - Slack ping to a developer
(4) Tracking progress - Trello or Asana

For me, Tether is all the above in a single box!

**Official Response from Dan Cleary:**

> Thanks Sam! I think you hit the nail on the head when you laid out all the apps that Tether replaces. That has always been our vision and it is great to hear it from our user's perspective.

  ### 14. Very useful and practical product

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kevin A. | UX, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 16, 2022

**What do you like best about Tether?**

the ability to pinpoint a problem in a friendly and easy way

**What do you dislike about Tether?**

i wish if i can get a preview of the problem in the email

**What problems is Tether solving and how is that benefiting you?**

tether is cutting communication time since all problems are reported in a smart way on one platform

**Official Response from Dan Cleary:**

> Hey Kevin, thanks so much for the review and feedback!
Updating the content and structure of our emails to be more insightful has been on our list for awhile. Bumping it up higher now.

Thanks again, looking forward to continue to help you and the team out.

  ### 15. Tether has helped us increase productivity and make our bug review process much more efficient!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gordon F. | Co-Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 18, 2021

**What do you like best about Tether?**

Tether helped us to streamline our testing and review process before deploying stores for our clients. It has saved us huge amounts of time, and it is great to have a record of all these bugs and suggestions in one place as a single source of truth.

**What do you dislike about Tether?**

Tether is building a tool that solves a number of problems for businesses like ours. There are several suggestions that we have provided to them for features like extending the ability to add custom bug types. As they continue to grow and scale, Dan and the team will evolve the product to add more intricate functionality.

**Recommendations to others considering Tether:**

I would definitely recommend using Tether if you are a consultancy, agency, or technology company that builds products or software. Tether allows you to document, categorize and resolve bugs in a timely fashion.

**What problems is Tether solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As mentioned, Tether helped us to streamline our testing and review process. The main problem Tether is solving for us is having a single source of truth and a record of all bugs and suggestions. We can then manage these bugs and suggestions through to completion from the Tether backend dashboard. It has been super useful for seeing the metadata and additional information associated with sessions where users are expereicning bugs. It really helps us to pin point the exact issue at hand and resolve it in a timely manner.

**Official Response from Dan Cleary:**

> Thanks for the review, Gordon! I'm really glad to hear that Tether has helped your agency streamline your testing and review process. I'm happy to hear that having Tether create a single source of truth helps keep feedback organized for you and your clients. Looking forward to continuing to make you a happy user.

  ### 16. Full Stack Developer

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ken C. | Full Stack Developer

**Reviewed Date:** June 15, 2022

**What do you like best about Tether?**

The ease of use of taking screenshots and screen recordings and sharing them with other users on the team.

**What do you dislike about Tether?**

Nothing much I can nitpick about. The whole system is integrated really well.

**What problems is Tether solving and how is that benefiting you?**

To share the screenshots with other people on my team about which part to improve upon, there are many hoops to jump through just to do that.
Tether simplifies all of that, providing a simple widget to simply grab what I want and see it in the Tether dashboard.

  ### 17. Great tool and very convenient!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Farrah Y. | Operations Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 09, 2022

**What do you like best about Tether?**

I love that it is very easy to use. We use Tether on our website and it has definitely increased product suggestions across the company. Also! Being able to take screenshots or capture videos is super helpful to showcase exactly what I mean as some things are hard to explain in text only.

**What do you dislike about Tether?**

I honestly can't think of any downsides.

**What problems is Tether solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tether is helping us increase product suggestions and report bugs efficiently.

**Official Response from Dan Cleary:**

> Thanks for the great review Farrah! I'm glad to hear that Tether has helped you and your team more efficiently report feedback and issues. Looking forward to continue to serve you guys in the future:)

  ### 18. Very useful tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Duncan P. | Backend Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 03, 2021

**What do you like best about Tether?**

The connection with multiple other systems, while also keeping functionality in this system as well, like asignee and status of a ticket.
Also that it is really easy for users to report issues to the dev team. And the report includes much information that can help with resolving the tickets.

**What do you dislike about Tether?**

I dislike that you can not set the status to unseen after viewing a ticket via the link in the email.

**What problems is Tether solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using it for feedback from customers on websites.
It is easier to communicate both ways. Customers can report issues and suggestions real easy.
And for the dev team it is easy to pick up the tickets and report back to the customer.

**Official Response from Dan Cleary:**

> Hey Duncan,

Thanks so much for your review, I am glad to hear that Tether has helped make the dev process easier for your team, and that our integrations made the process seamless:)

We plan to make the statuses manually editable, rather than update based on in-app events very soon, thanks for the feedback!

  ### 19. Tether: The One Two Step for Bug Fixes / Website Changes

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dani M. | Program Manager, Scaled Operations International, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 05, 2021

**What do you like best about Tether?**

Tether is a concise and straightforward solution for submitting bug fixes and changes. We utilized Tether on our website, Velochair, making it easy for our dev team to receive screenshots of our suggested changes. Being able to integrate Tether into existing workflows will help to keep everything under one roof and make tracking fixes a cinch.

**What do you dislike about Tether?**

The screen-sharing prompt is part of the cropping feature. At first, I was confused about how to zoom in on the specific area, but I quickly realized there was a crop icon above the screen-share that allowed me to focus on one particular area. A slight learning curve on my part, but nothing that would hinder workflows.

**What problems is Tether solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tether helps to keep all the pieces of a suggested change or problem under one roof. The who, what, when, why, where are all there in the Tether extension. No more forgetting to attach screenshots in an email or back and forth between the client and the engineer trying to understand the fix.

**Official Response from Dan Cleary:**

> Thanks so much for your review Dani!
I am glad to hear that Tether was helpful for you and your team when it came to sending feedback and issues to your developers.

We'll try to make it more clear how the crop function works, thanks for the feedback!

  ### 20. Great widget, even better team

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eduardo M. | Chief Technical Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 25, 2022

**What do you like best about Tether?**

The team seems to be the best part about tether, they're helpful, responsive and receptive about feedback.

The widget and it's custom fields are also pretty useful.

**What do you dislike about Tether?**

Would love for them to add the ability to add wildcard domains where one project can point to more than one url.

An actual JavaScript/npm SDK would also be great for local delivery and performance.

**What problems is Tether solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gathering customer feedback in a meaningful place where we can easily take action and learn from it.

  ### 21. Easy to use. No issues.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mark C. | Cryptocurrency Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2022

**What do you like best about Tether?**

It worked well, as advertised. I would recommend to anyone collaborating.

**What do you dislike about Tether?**

I think the idea to add a better communication hub while using the app would be great

**What problems is Tether solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Organized communication is always useful

**Official Response from Dan Cleary:**

> Thanks Mark, glad to hear Tether has been easy to use and helpful for you and your team.
Adding more tooling for communication between feedback submitters and receivers is something we will be addressing in the near future. Thanks again!

  ### 22. The perfect tool for feedback across teams!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rachael M. | Director Of Product Development, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 11, 2021

**What do you like best about Tether?**

Tether is easy to use, intuitive, and was easily used with multiple stakeholders, all with different tech expertise. The ability to integrate Tether into our mocks and staging was simple. This easy tool made feedback faster and specific for teams to discuss changes and make modifications to the final product.

**What do you dislike about Tether?**

There was no downside really to using Tether.

**What problems is Tether solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Shorten feedback loops, have multiple teams provide feedback. One big benefit is including screenshots without having to leave the written feedback and that gives us specific info for feedback.

**Official Response from Dan Cleary:**

> Hey Rachael,

Thanks for the review:) I am glad to hear that Tether was helpful for you and your teams in regard to shortening feedback loops. We look forward to continue to provide value for you!

  ### 23. Really helpful tool with Trello integration

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 06, 2021

**What do you like best about Tether?**

It was really helpful to receive the feedback directly in Trello, to integrate it in a workflow we're used to, in stead of working with an additional tool. Also the submitted screenshots were helpful.

**What do you dislike about Tether?**

It would be nice to be able to change notification settings.

**What problems is Tether solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reviewing a new build page.

**Official Response from Dan Cleary:**

> Thanks so much for your review!

I am glad to hear that Tether's integration with Trello was helpful for your team, it is a crowd favorite:)

Notification settings is on the near term road map, thanks for the feedback!
