Timesheets has been a seamless experience compared to other apps we’ve tried in Jira (e.g. Clockwork Pro). Honestly, there isn't a ton to complain about but a few things could definitely be tweaked. While the Jira integration is solid, getting Timesheets hooked up smoothly with the specific dev apps our team uses could be a lot better. Additionally, we strictly use Timesheets with our R&D team for sprint tracking, not customer billing. Because of this, we do think the pricing feels a little steep (lowering our ROI). The approval workflows are very intuitive and super simple to work with on Tempo. It also supports multiple integrations such as with MS 365 and Google Calendar which is amazing. Also, project cost tracking is another element that I am very happy with on this software. The pricing is also quite competitive and they provide great onboarding support which is fantastic. I would prefer if we could have automated emails/reminders for users when their timesheets are missing or some sort of functionality to remind them to log as they go. The other thing that would be great is to make bulk planning and bulk plan deletion available. I find Tempo's user interface to be extremely easy to use, which makes administrating tasks a breeze. It's also very fast being embedded within Jira, which we use for our team structure and org chart by maintaining our Tempo teams. I really like how responsive Tempo is when we provide feedback on their application's functionality. With almost 2,000 people using it daily on our site alone, it has proven to be an extremely valuable and reliable tool. The initial setup was very easy, although we've added complexity over time. Having a time tracking tool directly embedded in Jira, our single source of truth, influenced our switch to Tempo, and it was by far the best option available for time tracking and capacity planning. The capacity planner side of Tempo could use a lot of improvement. While there has been significant investment in timesheets and reporting capabilities, the capacity planner seems rudimentary and basic. We've subscribed to it for many years, but it is only used by a handful of teams due to its limitations. We need capacity planning on a sprint level instead of daily or hourly, which the current tool does not support well. It needs to better handle use cases where team goals and sprint objectives are involved, taking into account the available hours after team meetings and scrums, to effectively balance workloads across individuals with different skills. Tempo has additional core dependencies that needed to be installed prior to the app itself being installed. While this opened up new apps that we'd be able to leverage, it added a bit of bloat to our app navigation and initial confusion around some team members about why new apps were appearing.
