I have found very little that Teletrac has been able to do that has worked out the way it should. Teletrac does not correspond with our other systems easily nor consistantly. I was able to set up KeepTruckin to interface with our maintenance software without the help of anyone from KeepTruckin. **What do you dislike about Teletrac Navman?** The reports that we are offered do not allow for ease of use. Getting the information out of the reports is difficult, as well as getting the same information from multiple reports. For example miles for a truck on one report will say 100, and on another report they will be completely different. I have tried numerous times a month since November (it is now March) for Teletrac to finish the API set up with our maintenance software. The responses back from the Teletrac API team are few and far between. There is no support from our account rep and/or support when we have problems or need help answering a question. When we have ELD issues we are constantly told that there is just no way Teletrac can fix the issue. **Recommendations to others considering Teletrac Navman:** I would suggest they look at other options. **What problems is Teletrac Navman solving and how is that benefiting you?** Teletrac does an adequate job of tracking the trucks. The performance of Teletrac as far as tracking trailers is below par. ### 4. If I need to have one of my drivers call, Tech support will make sure they follow up with me to verify that everything is working correctly. **What do you dislike about Teletrac Navman?** The ELD unit itself it always messing up. It is like it is very sensitive and the slightest miss can cause problems. Some drivers do not log out. I would like it to be able to log out if the bus is turned off, that way it not put the driver in a logged in status, once it logged out, the driver would have to log in again, to make sure that they are in the correct mode, and if the wash crew starts the bus, it will not put the driver back in driving mode. **Recommendations to others considering Teletrac Navman:** I should not have to call tech support daily to have them check to see why a bus is not reading correctly. I should just have to monitor the drivers. Everyday I have to call and get a case number because teletrac is not reading the driver or not tracking correctly. This should not be happening. Once the driver logs in, everything should work smoothly. **What problems is Teletrac Navman solving and how is that benefiting you?** The upgrade is a huge problem for me. The tech that installed the ones this month did not complete his job and now there are issues with most of those. Tech support has been helping get them back up and running. ### 5. I like that there is a lot of options for the information on the trailers. It's also nice that can arrange things on the system in a way that is most useful to me, so that the information I need is first and foremost when I open Teletrac. **What do you dislike about Teletrac Navman?** Sometimes the tracking isn't as up to date if there are GPS dead spots. Then I have to wait until the trailer is through the dead spot so I can know where it is located. **What problems is Teletrac Navman solving and how is that benefiting you?** The benefit is that we know where our trailers are located when they have been misplaced or are being moved slowly, or the information given to us is inaccurate. It's nice to just log in and look if we aren't sure where our trailer was taken to. ### 6. We receive excellent Tech support from all the support lines. They are prompt, professional, knowledgeable and polite. **What do you dislike about Teletrac Navman?** Sometimes getting the correct parts to fix an issue can be challenging. There can be several things causing a problem. Selecting the one that is the problem can be hard to diagnose. **Recommendations to others considering Teletrac Navman:** Give it a chance. The tech support is exceptional. The Garmin tablet is an excellent feature not always provided by an ELD company. **What problems is Teletrac Navman solving and how is that benefiting you?** As you know, ELD's are required. I like that both the ELD and the Navigation is provided on the Garmin tablet provided with the system. They are very nice tablets. ### 7. There is a question mark at the top right side, but when you ask, it takes you to the portal and asks you again for your password, like the guide is not integrated. **What problems is Teletrac Navman solving and how is that benefiting you?** It helps with the locations of our units; definitely with the HOS of our drivers. It is a plus to have a record of maintenance in the units. Of course, it helps us to manage distances and time to deliver. ### 8. Teletrac from the back office can be challenging at times, but once you learn the system it is easy to use and understand. **What do you dislike about Teletrac Navman?** Inconsistencies in some of the programs and operations. There can be hardware glitches that are hard to sort out for those that are "less than tech savvy". I would like to see some improvements or updating done with the Garmin units themselves as they tend to be "buggy". **What problems is Teletrac Navman solving and how is that benefiting you?** IFTA is simple to track, driver compliance with HOS is simple to understand from the driver point of view. The logs are harder to read and edit. The drivers have a hard time accessing their info though the portal.
