The customer support is quick and efficient. I use TE almost daily. The features I use most often are picture identification, class schedule, groups, parent information I was not involved in the implementation or integration of TE. My understanding from the administration is that it was very easy to re-integrate and implement us back to TeacherEase **What do you dislike about TeacherEase?** I feel it was the original implementation by our database clerk that made searching a challenge. Students may have multiple last names and they are entered in various forms. **What problems is TeacherEase solving and how is that benefiting you?** I am in the Advancement Dept. I use TE for parent employment information, student schedules, and activities. ### 2. It's pretty easy to use, but it could be better. I wish they had an app or some features that are present in other gradebooks. It's not bad though. **What do you dislike about TeacherEase?** Teacherease is financially shady. They refused to refund our payment despite the fact that we requested the refund 2 months prior to the school year starting. Moreover, they refused to answer our calls or respond to our emails as soon as they learned that we wanted a refund. Whenever we did manage to get in touch with them, they delayed endlessly, escalating the issue needlessly from one person to the next all over nothing more than a simple refund to a service we never even used. We've been contacting them via calls and emails daily trying to get a response for about a month now, and now our school has to deal with the fact that this company is essentially stealing thousands of dollars from us in the midst of a pandemic. Unbelievable. Beyond that, Teacherease is not the best, and here's why: Cost: they cost more than you think. There's a lot of supplemental features that cost extra but are necessary to running an online SIS administration. If you're looking for a central attendance system or data management, for example, be prepared to dish out extra money. User-Friendliness: The system is far from user friendly. It takes a lot more clicks than necessary to get where you want to go. Customizability: Teacherease does not offer much customizabililty unfortunately. It's is pretty limited in its scope compared to the competition. Customer Service: Getting in touch with customer service is toilsome. Average wait times are about 10-15 minutes. With other companies, wait times are generally 1-2 minutes. Do yourself a favor and go with another SIS. Teacherease is not a company to do business with. **Recommendations to others considering TeacherEase:** Look elsewhere. I find myself clicking through a few options before I find what I'm actually looking for. **What problems is TeacherEase solving and how is that benefiting you?** All of the students' grades and assignments are in one place. It helps teachers and students organizationally. ### 4. We can take attendance in one section. In another section we can put the grades in the grade book. We can also look up each students schedules in Teacherease. I also like how you can add in other teachers into your gradebook. That way we can both look at our students grades if we are co-teaching. Teacherease is very user friendly and I love this program! **What do you dislike about TeacherEase?** I wish that it would show the students schedule in order. Sometimes their last class if first and vice versa. However, everything else runs smoothly. It has an incredible grade book setup that shows in detail information about students, grades, assistance, email to parents, learning targets, rubrics. You have the chance to see a progress report that teachers have to do. Also, you can follow the grades that students have and analyze their performing. As a teacher, I have the chance to see what assignments students are missing, what failed tasks they have. Even if you do not check your profile for a lot of days. This helps in creating easy grading weighted distributions, keep track of individual student's progress, additional assistance and it is very easy to set up and use. Works well for all of the needs a teacher can have from an admin point of view. **What do you dislike about TeacherEase?** It is limited for some programming features which does not really help in managing technical classes as I do, for providing pseudo codes and examples of statistical courses. **Recommendations to others considering TeacherEase:** I recommend researchers and higher education professors to check this out. **What problems is TeacherEase solving and how is that benefiting you?** I have used it to manage my students' accounts, and keep track of their grades, and receive notifications. I came back from maternity leave in the middle of a school year that I did not start and it took no time at all for me to learn the new system. **What do you dislike about TeacherEase?** I wish there was an app for a tablet/ phone mostly for the sake messaging parents through it. It was also difficult to find the missing assignments for students; that was not intuitive as many other things on the site. **What problems is TeacherEase solving and how is that benefiting you?** Parent communication is so easy on TeacherEase! I love how simple it is to send out an email blast to parents. I also appreciate the simplicity of responding (through email). I am an ESL teacher ( English Second language) I need to pull kids and test their reading and writing levels 4 to 6x a year. Teacherease allows you to manage teacher and student schedules, grade students, communicate with parents, and even give students ownership of their grades and work- but my favorite part is being able to look where a child is, and their bio data so I can create a seamless services schedule. **What do you dislike about TeacherEase?** I don't like the email options. Because there are so many ways to email parents, it can be a hassle to determine which one is best for your needs. **What problems is TeacherEase solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are helping families by giving them direct access to the grade book. this way students can check their own grades & reflect on what they need to do to improve. ### 15. Meeting the needs of all students by including appropriate differentiated strategies is made easy with teacher ease. It gives amazing suggestions based on the standards. The website also allows us to provides us with use of a standards based gradebook that can be used by students and parents. **What do you dislike about TeacherEase?** It does take a while to get used to the website. You may need to look through the different sections in order to be able to find things. I do not think it allows parents or students to change the websites overall language in order for everyone to be able to read and access it. **What problems is TeacherEase solving and how is that benefiting you?** It allows teachers to communicate with students faster, find resources for the classroom and to connect with parents. ### 16. It is a free site and the initial set up is guided. I had no questions about how to assign grades, put students in, or how to use different features. **What do you dislike about TeacherEase?** The behavior reports only tell the number of reports by student name. I would really prefer to have them separated by positive and negative behaviors so that I can easily see if I need to watch a student for positive behavior, or if there is a trend with negative behaviors. For that matter, having a time of day would help also. I would easily see if behaviors are at a certain time of the day. **Recommendations to others considering TeacherEase:** If your school or district does not have a program for grading, emailing parents, and behavior tracking I would recommend trying the program. This is a program I would consider using if I were starting a charter school or private school where I would not be required to use the district mandated programs. I was only able to log in to TeacherEase, but the entire package would be worth looking into for school-wide cloud use. The TeacherEase piece is free to sign up and use, but I honestly don't know how much the rest of the school-wide package is. **What problems is TeacherEase solving and how is that benefiting you?** Our school has its own system for grades. I am looking for a good behavioral integration program that will allow for quantitative and qualitative analysis. I did not find that with this site, but I believe with a few minor tweaks, it would be perfect for my purpose. ### 25.
