Teacherease is financially shady. They refused to refund our payment despite the fact that we requested the refund 2 months prior to the school year starting. Moreover, they refused to answer our calls or respond to our emails as soon as they learned that we wanted a refund. Whenever we did manage to get in touch with them, they delayed endlessly, escalating the issue needlessly from one person to the next all over nothing more than a simple refund to a service we never even used. We've been contacting them via calls and emails daily trying to get a response for about a month now, and now our school has to deal with the fact that this company is essentially stealing thousands of dollars from us in the midst of a pandemic. Unbelievable.
Beyond that, Teacherease is not the best, and here's why:
Cost: they cost more than you think. There's a lot of supplemental features that cost extra but are necessary to running an online SIS administration. If you're looking for a central attendance system or data management, for example, be prepared to dish out extra money.
User-Friendliness: The system is far from user friendly. It takes a lot more clicks than necessary to get where you want to go.
Customizability: Teacherease does not offer much customizabililty unfortunately. It's is pretty limited in its scope compared to the competition.
Customer Service: Getting in touch with customer service is toilsome. Average wait times are about 10-15 minutes. With other companies, wait times are generally 1-2 minutes.
Do yourself a favor and go with another SIS. Teacherease is not a company to do business with. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
