Navigating the product is frustrating. It doesn’t stay on the current year, and once you finish the reporting, you then have to go track it down again just to submit it. It doesn't integration with my Quickbooks like it say it will. For that reason, I don’t really like the system. Overall, the navigation flow can be very time-consuming at times. This works well both as a third-party integrated tool and as a standalone tool. It’s an affordable tax-filing solution once you get through the learning curve. This software allows you to E-file your 1099 Nec's to comply with the IRS requirements that all information retunrs over 10 must be E-filed. It will also send out the 1099 via us postal service and / or by email. It verifies the itin and once submitted it gives you the results if the form was accepted or rejected by the IRS. It helps you by showing what needs to be fixed on the form. Thee is no download required, you can use the software in the browser of your quickbooks, so super easy impementation and takes literly 30 seconds to start using it. This software will be used by me just once a year for getting out the 1099's. I dont know about customer support, I never needed it, its that simple to use. Just run your report and enter the data into the software intergration is a very simply process. I recommend this software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The downside , is that they dont tell you the cost until after you have put in all your data. It appears to be a free software, but when you hit submit, everyting goes grey, and requires you to pay their fee's. Fees arent too bad. I find Tax1099 incredibly easy to use, which is so helpful. I really liked the Bulk Data feature that allows me to add information about many contractors at once, saving me a lot of time. The TIN check feature ensures that I'm submitting the 1099 correctly by checking if the TIN is valid. Also, the AI check helps find mistakes if there are any, and I can just correct them, which is reassuring because sometimes we do miss and make mistakes. I use this amazing software every year, and I will not change it. I find it to be an amazing service that's easy to use and recommend. I love that Tax1099 offers two options for sending forms: through regular mail and electronic email. Their easy way to send the form to employees or partners is really convenient. The e-filing process is very easy as well. The initial setup of Tax1099 was very easy, and I rate it a 10 out of 10 when recommending it to a friend or colleague. Where do I start? I was attracted to use Tax1099 by the price. That's on me for being cheap. The interface is far more complicated than competitors and not at all intuitive. After wrestling the UI into submission and getting my forms uploaded, I processed them and went about my day. Upon checking back a few days later to see the status of the forms, I see a note that the forms have a status of "Blocked". Not knowing what this means, but assuming it's not great, I reached out to Zenwork support to work through the issue. After getting disconnected by a few tech support people in chat (this is never a good sign as it usually means they have no clue how to help or find help), I finally found someone that said I blocked the forms. Now I have no idea how to block a form on Tax1099, but I'm open to the theory that I did something unintentionally. So with the problem identified, I was hopeful we could move forward with a solution. So, I asked the tech support rep to unblock the forms so we could submit them. He said they can't do that on their side. OK, so I asked how I could unblock them. Well, it turns out I cannot unblock them either. In life there is the comfort of certainty and the angst of uncertainty. We got to experience both in the case. Uncertainty with regard to who blocked the returns, but certainty we can't unblock them. As I write this review, I eagerly await word from on high (also known as the “tech team”) to see if the returns can be unblocked and submitted or if they shall languish in a digital purgatory for an eternity. Needless to say, the tiny amount of anticipated savings I was eagerly accruing in my mental checkbook has been completely wiped out by the lost productivity I’m dealing with (made even worse by my compulsion to right the wrongs of this world by writing scathing reviews, such as this one). The real lesson here is not, don’t use Tax1099, albeit that is a good takeaway. The real lesson is an affirmation of two tried and true maxims: 1) you get what you paid for and 2) if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
