It is a platform that serves all my SPV needs in one place. The amount of money I save by avoiding legal costs from the alternative of having my lawyer prepare all the documents, could well often pay for the platform's fees. Really my biggest request would be to offer an option for live customer service through either phone support or chat. Sydecar's operations support team tries to respond within four hours, during normal business hours, and it usually hits that service level. However, there are often times there is a bit of back and forth, so getting the true answers can take a bit more time. Given some closings of my SPV deals are very time sensitive, the ability to just talk to an operations support person live would remove the only significant friction point I find on the platform. I like that Sydecar makes it simple to generate documents and for my network to complete subscription documents and initiate funding for fast-moving deals. I can make adjustments if we end up oversubscribed, cut allocations, and respect priorities within my LP base. I can upload deal information quickly, and they always push it live within 24 hours, which matters when we’re on a tight time frame. Their team has been immensely helpful when I’ve needed to expedite something or deal with a non-standard situation. The fees are a lot better for smaller SPVs, and I’d rather have more of the capital we raise go to the actual investment than to fees. I’d like Sydecar to add a feature for generating interest in SPVs ahead of our team that feels more like a request for allocation than an automatic approval of requested allocation. Right now, I use a separate Airtable form to collect how much people are interested in investing, then decide who gets an allocation. It would be helpful to do that all on one platform. 3 things. 1. The Dataroom is a little clunky. You need to be able to add Excel or spreadsheets as a file type. If you can, I don't know how to do that and it is not easy. It would be REALLY nice to just be able to DRAG and DROP files of any type (PDF, Powerpoint, Excel, Video etc) right into the data room and then to be able to make "Folders" with different types of organization (such as Financial, Agreements, Contracts, or what have you). 2. The Investment Summary page is also not easy to use. When trying to add documents (attach) it rarely works at all. The button doesn't work hardly at all (most of the time it never works for any size of document). 3. The operations team is helpful, but it would be nice to have a way to call them or get on a chat or something. Sometimes they are too slow to get back to you via email. I understand that they are very busy, but it will be really important to have more ways to get help than via email. VERY important. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I use Sydecar's Special Purpose Vehicle Administration to create and administer SPVs efficiently. It saves me from the costly and time-consuming process of self-administration while being incredibly cost-effective and speedy. I appreciate the reduction in errors and the straightforward technology. The staff are extremely responsive if there are any technical issues. Nothing, i think it's super easy. Sometimes the calculations can get a bit glitchy but when that happens the SPV team does manual calculations for us and never complain about it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
