Very polished UI, logical defaults and best of all, detailed and helpful technical documentation. SpinupWP is giving me the confidence to sysadmin more and more of my own WordPress hosting. All the big managed hosting players are charging an arm and leg for storage, bandwidth and visitors. The only thing keeping me from onboarding more client sites is the lack of a site-specific access role. I can assign additional users to each server with various levels of access, but cannot assign a user that has access to only a single site. It feels like Laravel Forge but with a lot more empathy for the user. It's so easy to get setup and then manage because they have so much in context helps and documentation. It makes being responsible for your own server very manageable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The dislike isn't specifically with SpinupWP but with the fact that you are taking on the responsibility of managing your own server and that feeling of "what if?". However, the traditional structures for managing security are available to you and security updates are automatically applied by SpinupWP. Although I have only been a SpinupWP user for around 6 months it really has been a joy to use. Great UI/UX with nice intuitive feedback. It handles the common WP management and deployment tasks well. The biggest advantage I've seen with SpinupWP is its ability to manage server resources to quickly and efficiently serve WordPress sites. After testing multiple management panel options, SpinupWP is the most robust and offers an excellent price-performance ratio. Furthermore, installing the system on the server and launching or migrating new instances between servers is very simple.

There are basic and recurring adjustments, such as adjusting the memory level for each instance, which must be done via SSH. Managing between instances and databases can be very tedious as you scale.

As a "still learning" user of webhosting I've been through multiple different providers and consultants which have cost an arm and a leg. I've used SpinupWP multiple times since I moved to my own dedicated server on DigitalOcean. If ever I mess the server up, it's a simple website visit, chatbot and in less than 30 minutes, they sorted the issue out, returning my server to a useable state. Not only do they do a quick fix, but the team there will also go out of their way to explain what went wrong and how I can prevent that in the future, even giving suggestions of different ways to go about these tasks. If you are someone like me that wants to learn as well as knowing you have the support to get things back in place when they go wrong, then I can't recommend SpinupWP enough. One of the most helpful aspects of SpinupWP is how it centralizes everything I need to manage WordPress sites across multiple servers. I can easily keep track of which sites have outdated plugins or core versions, run updates, and manage backups—all from a single dashboard.

The UI is also incredibly intuitive. Even with 20+ sites, it's easy to navigate and doesn’t feel cluttered or overwhelming. I also appreciate how seamlessly it integrates with my existing backup storage solutions, like S3, which makes my overall workflow much smoother. I only really ever have to go in there once a week just to keep an eye on things, and rarely, if ever, do I need to do anything.

Spinning up a new server is quick and painless, and the docs are excellent—detailed, easy to follow, and have so far answered every weird question I’ve had without needing to reach out to support. There have been a few times where I had issues setting up a new site (certbot failure), but retrying usually fixes it. It would be less annoying if it failed faster, but sitting through it setting up the DB, and everything first before finding out the cert won't take is annoying. It is a very MINOR frustration mind you.

One thing I'd put on a wishlist would be some type of built-in staging or development workflow. Something that would allow me to preview changes for clients and then push them live. Right now, that has to be handled manually.

Additionally, the upsell for advanced monitoring feels a bit wrong. It feels like an artificial tier thrown in there for the sake of an upsell. I suppose there are some people (like myself) that are willing to live without it in order to save a couple bucks.

While SpinupWP is excellent for developers and technically-minded agencies, I would hesitate to recommend it to beginners or designers (no offense). Without some server knowledge, the platform could be confusing. For its target audience, however, that’s not really a downside. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

it makes all the parts I hate easy. I push a button and fixes file permissions in my folders. I push a button and it updates linux packages or restarts nginx. I push a few buttons and a new site is spun up. It sets up SSL certs and optimizes server and db configs for me.

Had great support so far - our server had file permission and DNS issues and Spinup answered in a matter of a few minutes and kept giving us quick email replies.
