Formatting is consistent and easy to use. Being built on the Microsoft Word platform means that it is familiar to most users and getting them up to speed can occur quickly. The use of so many macros and background templates means updates and publishing can be slower than other applications that a user may utilize throughout their workflow. Prior to using ExpressTrain our Quality documents were maintained manually on forms created by the firm. From user to user these documents would lose structure continuity and cause lots of frustration when it came to organizing the nomenclature and print formats. While we loved so much to build software and improve our core applications systems, let's face it, creating the SOPs is always an exhausting task, from taking screenshots to explaining in detail the processes the creator is already super familiar with, but not good at placing that on a formal document. While SOP Express offers templates out of the box, for some of the most creative collaborators this might be taken as a downside ; but it does not affect the product effectivity and acceptance at all.
