I’ve been using Snowflake for about a year, mainly to pull data into and push data back from Mendix applications, and what I like best is how easy it is to work with. Integration with Mendix is simple, and the Snowflake connector module available in the Mendix Marketplace makes it even easier. I can connect, run queries, and write data back without building a lot of custom plumbing, and the connection has been reliable. Queries return quickly even on large tables, and I rarely have to think about tuning or infrastructure. Compute and storage are separated, so heavy workloads don’t slow down other users or processes, which matters when an app depends on near-real-time data.

The web interface is also clean and easy to navigate. I can write and test SQL, check query history, and manage roles and warehouses without much of a learning curve. The initial setup around roles, privileges, and authentication takes some effort when connecting an external app like Mendix, and the documentation has few examples for specific integration scenarios. What I like most about Snowflake is the clear separation of compute and storage. With this architecture, we can scale virtual warehouses up or down smoothly without affecting performance or driving up storage costs. At times, Snowflake’s UI/UX feels a bit unintuitive when I’m working with complex queries, particularly if I’m leaning on the built-in AI features. The best thing I like about Snowflake is its fully managed Software-as-a-Service model, which reduces development and maintenance efforts tremendously. Another feature I really value is the architectural separation of compute and storage, which allows independent scaling of resources and helps optimize operational costs based on real-time workload consumption. The way snowflake stores data through clod is the best part in the entire application where all the beginners also can use this snowflake application in easy way without confusion.
