What I like best about Trullion is how seamlessly it brings clarity and confidence to audit procedures—especially through its powerful financial statement and data-matching modules. The platform’s ability to pull together information from multiple sources, line it up accurately, and surface discrepancies in real time has fundamentally improved the way my teams work. Tasks that used to require manual checks now feel precise, efficient, and dependable.

The data-matching functionality stands out. Its ability to match information across multiple sources, identify inconsistencies, and flag what needs attention saves an enormous amount of time. What used to require manual reconciliation can now be done quickly and reliably.

Another aspect I value deeply is that Trullion is never standing still. They are continuously on the forefront of change—adapting quickly, improving constantly, and anticipating where accounting technology needs to go. It’s clear they’re committed to staying ahead of industry demands rather than reacting to them.

And just as important, the Trullion team is genuinely great to work with. They're responsive, thoughtful, and open to collaboration. The data extraction module has been less useful for us because of its limitations in capturing information from documents such as AR aging. However, Trullion recently released an update to the data extraction feature that has performed much better, and I expect to see further improvements going forward. I really like being able to drop a lease into Trullion and have the software determine lease type and amortization schedule. I look forward to utilizing the audit suite for detail testing, and I've appreciated my limited use with financial statement comparison during detailed review. I think my two biggest gripes are the UI. It feels a little unnatural to find different things within both lease and audit side. Specifically the audit side, I am needing to reference the manuals and instructions to figure out how to navigate to certain things. And when I haven't been able to find the way to update or change something, I will start from scratch again. I also wish the work could be done within Excel as opposed to within Trullion and then exported, but I understand the stress that puts on Excel and the issues with lagging that may be caused. I like how Trullion expedites data extraction and matching, allowing our team to work quicker and more efficiently by automating these mundane tasks. The data extraction tools are especially useful, making it easy to pull data from many documents quickly. The financial statement review feature is great too, as it speeds up our review process, ensures accuracy, and minimizes the potential for human error. I think the interface of Trullion is easy to use, which encourages our employees to use it more. The customer support has been solid and responsive, helping us build the features we need when we have questions. The chat queries don't always return very good results. I know they're in the file I'm asking about but they can't find the correct information. I really like how easy it is to make changes to leases and perform lease modifications. It's also such a seamless implementation. The knowledge base has significantly improved over time and the customer support team is always extremely quick to respond, and you get their response via email so you don't miss it. The Trullion support team always relays painpoints or process improvement opportunities to their software development team, and I have seen many of our suggestions actually come to fruition. Their reports are great for month-end close entries related to ASC 842 and disclosures required for financial reporting purposes. Overall my experience with Trullion has been pleasant. As an ASC 842 expert at a consulting firm, I have experience using many different lease softwares, and this software is SO much easier to use than many of their competitors, it is by-far my favorite lease software I've used. Trullion can be a little slower when it comes to running reports that include upwards of 1,000 leases. Also as far as I know, there isn't a way to duplicate a lease, which would be a helpful feature when dealing with leases of similar nature. There is a lack of functionality regarding prorated lease payments. Trullion will not calculate prorated payments into your schedule. You will need to manually change any payments that are for a partial month for example.

AI functionality of extracting key information is not very impressive. It often pulls dates from other parts of the document. Trullion does make it easy to override and highlight the correct date based on your own judgement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Trullion allows for a quick implementation and our clients are typically looking for a quick and painless implementation and maintenance. The UI is clean and easy for any new user to navigate. Trullion has unnessecary journal entry "baggage" for the revaluation of the liability and there is no current way to turn this off and produce a summarized entry instead. In terms of the program interface, it is incredibly intuitive and easy to use. When I was first assigned the duty of tracking our leases in this database, I looked to the knowledge base on their website and watched some past webinars in which they were giving training on the program. After just one watch I felt confident enough to conquer the task and was able to do just that. I've been using Trullion since roughly January of 2023, and can say that there is not a whole lot that I don't like about the program. The only issue that I have personally ran into is the AI not acknowleding certain phrases or terms in their entirety. For example, one most contracts, we are the lessee as Turning Point of Central California, Inc. - however the AI only ever picks up "Central California, Inc." as the lessee.
