What do you like best about Smart Factory Suite?
Overall dashboard organization is logical and well organized. The filters section on the right side is also in a good position for quick access to slicers. Clicking an item in a widget for quick filtering by that item is also a very convenient feature. I appreciate that there is the option to use API integrations for export, and we will soon make use of that. The overall performance rarely requires any waiting - the databases are responsive. I am not sure how performance would be affected if we required more granular data retention for longer periods though.
Pricing is too high and has been mentioned in discussions centered around continued use of this product, especially regarding Core Analytics. Specifically, documentation of functions, their syntax, variables, and examples is seriously lacking and requires support sessions at an additional charge which we do not appreciate and will highly likely not use. Because of this we opt to export raw data to do analysis in Excel and report via Power BI. And for an even higher subscription more features are added such as Andon, unique user accounts... etc, which I am totally disappointed with.
User onboarding is handled via an email which links to wiki style documentation and only demonstrates the most basic kind of report, such as Total Production. Widget templates are appreciated though.
Support is mostly sufficient via ticketing system. For a recent overall implementation support request we have been waiting with no contact for a period.
Ai features are available at an additional cost and we are especially not interested. Just saying 'AI assisted' is nowhere near enough for a savvy AI user to evaluate the value.
Support recently said that a request in a report to include a column for current production count at the time of a downtime event was a 'unique' request and would take time to figure out how to provide that. To me that is also very basic. The fact that it is not apparently simple is concerning.
The database table relationship is nice to see from a data analysis perspective, although the tables could be larger. Combined with the data retention policy and the price we are paying it is difficult to understand how a more generous retention policy and more robust database is not standard.
