## Slite Reviews
  ### 1. Good experience to keep my team up to date

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carlos G. | Product Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2022

**What do you like best about Slite?**

The best thing about Slite is being able to share information across my organization without having to constantly tell people where can they find the information the are looking for.

**What do you dislike about Slite?**

Not really, I think is a really good business tool.

**What problems is Slite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slite help me solve the challenge of having my product relevant information in one place that is accessible to all the people in my organization.

  ### 2. Slite keeps all of our process documents organized and easily accessible for our fully remote team.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Richelle P. | Content Marketing Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 17, 2022

**What do you like best about Slite?**

It's easy to use/collaborate with coworkers and offers templates to help get started

**What do you dislike about Slite?**

Not a lot of options for exporting or importing files.

**What problems is Slite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It houses all of our important company docs that I can reference at any time plus day-to-day process docs.

  ### 3. Just works, good performance, covers all my use cases

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 07, 2022

**What do you like best about Slite?**

It's simple, it is fast (e.g. It feels way more snappy than notion), good UX and it covers all my needs, which do not include mobile.

**What do you dislike about Slite?**

The backup functionality didn't fully work the last time we tried it out.

**What problems is Slite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Knowledge base and doc sharing

  ### 4. Best Team Training/ Knowledgebase Tool out There

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** James H. | Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 28, 2022

**What do you like best about Slite?**

I love that Slite is simple, easy to use and has a tonne of use cases. It's the most versatile team knowledge base I've ever used and enables our remote team to collaborate in their own time.

**What do you dislike about Slite?**

Not much, I'd love more integrations with other systems though, the Asana integration is great, the more we can build this into our ecosystem the better adoption we would get.

**What problems is Slite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Centralised source of truth and as an async meeting platform for our remote teams, we suffer from having hundreds of docs scattered across several storage areas and the team spread out accorss several locations and time zones. Slite has enabled us to have one source of truth, on board new staff in a consistent manner and meet and collaborate on projects.

**Official Response from Clément Rog:**

> Thanks James for your nice review! We're considering new integrations in the months to come, around our new positioning with Discussions. Thanks again for your trust, and have a great day!

  ### 5. User Friendly

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rafael M. | Naval Architect, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 14, 2022

**What do you like best about Slite?**

It is really easy to use the platform and is quite intuitive where to click and add pages, information and documents. Also, it is excellent as a collaborative platform, I believe it has been the best we have used so far.

**What do you dislike about Slite?**

Is not something that I dislike, but since we start using it as a kind of wiki, I would like to use on the same page different parts of the page, I mean, I want to use as a chapters that I can minimize somehow, that could make the page clear (similar to what we have in Word). (If this is already possible, please ignore the message =) )

**What problems is Slite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using it as a Wiki, where we can share our experience, ways to solve problems, advice, tips, also commands that can be used to run some software, kinda tutorial.

  ### 6. The paper work replacement for Remote working era

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Karan D. | Associate Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 25, 2022

**What do you like best about Slite?**

The best thing here is simplicity! It's quick and easy to get started with generating table of contents and headers just like any word document. Being simple yet powerpacked features allow me to onboard resources and train them in a jiffy - fast, effective and asynchronously. After it's integrated with Thread.it, it will be a complete solution in my opinion.

I am a notion and roam user and a lot of users might say that notion offers everything slite does but that's not true. It's easy to quickly get lost in Notion because it's designed to take notes powerfully but not to build a knowledge base. Slite gives me a fast way to effectively build knowledge base with no learning curve unlike JIRA and Confluence. Just write pages and publish website.

**What do you dislike about Slite?**

The main thing missing is in the public published page, there is no search bar :( really !
I can search if I'm in app mode but not when I'm in website mode... I found slite by searching for "knowledge base" so seems like an important and really simple feature to have.
Other non major suggestions:
1. auto assign emojis to created pages
2. some color options. I find it without any colors or themes to be a bit dull and boring. maybe page background, text color instead of highlighting
3. Headers can be numbered?

**What problems is Slite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's make it easier to onboard new resources for a project by giving all key information accessible in one place. And I have tried Confluence, JIRA, Google Docs, Google Sites, Notion and others as well but nothing was as efficient really. Just add some colors and search? :)

  ### 7. Slite lowers the bar for creating and updating documentation and sharing knowledge.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 07, 2022

**What do you like best about Slite?**

It's very fast to create content using Slite. The editor works just the way it should.

**What do you dislike about Slite?**

Slite does not have two-factor authentication.

**What problems is Slite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slite gives us a platform on which we can create living, always up-to-date documentation.

  ### 8. Unparalleled Collaboration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2022

**What do you like best about Slite?**

Slite allows almost perfect collaboration with amazing minimal and light aesthetics.

**What do you dislike about Slite?**

There is very little to dislike about slite, because they just continually update any small issues. However, they have added their own emojis, meaning that typing am emoji results in a duplicate. But there are small issues and there is no doubt it will be fixed very quickly

**What problems is Slite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The issues with document collaboration with Word or OneNote is that it is not made or many editors and multiple pages, thus either all cannot fufill our collaborative needs.

  ### 9. Most intuitive documentation app

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tasha H. | CEO aka Chief Turtle, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 27, 2022

**What do you like best about Slite?**

There are several things actually, but I would have to say it is all of the integrations you can add to your docs. I often embed videos and documents from other places that can be played or viewed directly in the Slite doc.

**What do you dislike about Slite?**

I can't say there is anything I dislike at this time. So far, I have not run into any major issues while using Slite.

**What problems is Slite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest problem I had was being able to keep all of our documentation, notes, and internal guides in one place. The biggest benefit is being able to keep all of our knowledge organized and secure.

  ### 10. I've changed companies, but I've brought Slite with me

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sarah H. | Support Operations Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 28, 2022

**What do you like best about Slite?**

Easy of use. Slite makes it extremely easy to set up docs where you can not only organize, add tips and charts but you can easily collaborate with another team or team member on the fly, in meetings!

**What do you dislike about Slite?**

Very small things, I only have issues with how tables look on large monitors.

**What problems is Slite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

No longer is there tribe knowledge spread between Google docs/sheets and a few team members. Slite makes it very easy to organize and nest information with folders, folder icons, etc. Linking from one slite doc to the next, and to one particular part of that slite doc is EASY. No HTML markdown is needed (but you can use it if you want).

**Official Response from Clément Rog:**

> Thanks Sarah for trusting us – it means a lot. All the best

  ### 11. Convert tribal knowledge into institutional knowledge

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 02, 2022

**What do you like best about Slite?**

It just works. I was used to working in Confluence to create nested documents (eg. parent/child) but it never worked that well. Slite is a huge improvement and also offers all of the additional tools to manage an internal knowledgbase. Above all, they have thought of the smallest things to help you be efficient and everything just works.

**What do you dislike about Slite?**

This isn't a knock on the product itself, but it can be difficult to convince others in your organization to start using Slite if they are already using Confluence/Jira suite of tools. One feature I'd like to see is a carousel of photos. Tables can be used instead, but purpose-built image carousel would be great.

**What problems is Slite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using Slite as an internal knowledge base for our Customer Support team. New joiners need to get up to speed fast and the search functionality is so good they can simply search a term and find what they need.

  ### 12. Sleek and useful

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kendrick K. | Assistant Professor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 18, 2022

**What do you like best about Slite?**

Slite is extremely sleek and well designed. I use it to keep documents organized and frequently access the documents to update them. The documents are shared across a small team of people. The web site is "low overhead" which makes for rapid and efficient use.

**What do you dislike about Slite?**

I don't have any major dislikes about the Slite for what I use it for. The only thing might be a more convenient interface for "track changes" or seeing what changed most recently.

**What problems is Slite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Slite to solve the problem of keeping a coordinated and organized set of informational documents that are private to a group of users. The interface and set up is efficient and faster than, e.g., a wiki.

  ### 13. Perfect fit for a growing web design/hosting company

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2022

**What do you like best about Slite?**

My team chose Slite over other knowledge base options for a lot of reasons- the ability to add any length code snippets with text documents, the functionality of exporting documentation (and having it be very printer-friendly!), and the useful (but luckily for consistency, not unlimited) formatting options for text, etc. In addition to appreciating the features that we knew about ahead of time, we've been super happy with the Slite team for their consistent and personalized customer support and their genuine efforts to improve and add features that will benefit their users.

**What do you dislike about Slite?**

There are a couple tiny details that I hope will be revised- the cursor doesn't show up on a blank line of code, parent documents don't automatically expand when I try to drag-and-drop a document inside/underneath, and PHP code snippets aren't color-coded. But honestly, the only thing that I'm disappointed by is the lack of ability to change the display size of images. Even that tends to be a non-problem, because there's never any frustration of an image causing text to jump somewhere unwanted.

**Recommendations to others considering Slite:**

The free trial gives you almost all functionality and as many users as you want, with the only real limitation that you can't create more documents once you have 100. It took my team a few months to produce that much content. In that time, we were able to decide whether the few minor quirks (specifically the lack of image sizing and lack of font color options) outweighed how user-friendly, text-and-code-combo supportive, and customer-focused Slite is. (We did upgrade to the paid version recently, and are extremely happy with it.)

**What problems is Slite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The company I'm with has 25-30 full-time staff and has been growing steadily for the past few years. But no one wrote things down- process flow, decisions that were made, instructions for future employees. Now that we're making notes (sometimes lengthy documentation) in Slite, the onboarding process is much faster, and the teams produce results that are more consistent in structure and quality, which makes everything more efficient.

**Official Response from Clément Rog:**

> Thanks for taking the time to leave this constructive review! Have you raised your feedback to support@slite.com? Some of the things you mention are under our radar, but I'm sure it would be great value to us if you could give more details. We care a lot about the small details that make your experience radically better. Please ping us if you haven't, and have a great day!

  ### 14. Easy to use and specific to your company

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 07, 2022

**What do you like best about Slite?**

Fun to use (you can upload emojis or slide presentations/images).

**What do you dislike about Slite?**

Might be helpful to be able to upload modifiable documents

**What problems is Slite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Internal communication.

  ### 15. Using Slite to organize my language learning

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 27, 2022

**What do you like best about Slite?**

I like the fact that it is buildable and you can nest pages insides pages infinitely.
I also use Airtable, Figma and Youtube and you can embed content from these apps to.

**What do you dislike about Slite?**

The smart tables are a bit hard to use at first because it's not as responsive as you would expect. Also, the re-ordering of the pages on the left is a bit tricky.

**Recommendations to others considering Slite:**

Just create annaccount and see for yourself if the product is for you, but I'm sure you'll find a use for it!

**What problems is Slite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With Slite, I managed to organize my learning into way more categories that I originally intended to, It helps me keep track of my progress, and to study every day.

  ### 16. Sr Management Consultant, National Enterprise Portfolio & Program Management Practice

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Management Consulting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 18, 2022

**What do you like best about Slite?**

Easy use of widgets and web-based collaboration with customers. Template usage and simple, easy to organize document structure. Great widget integration with tables, applications data, and simple formatting.

**What do you dislike about Slite?**

I do not like that simple math cannot be done in the table widget. Also that webshared shared documents cannot be password protected. Finally, I cannot link data from tables back to one master. The single most functional update I would want is to link table inputs back to a master. So if I am using Slite for a RAID log, I can tie back actions and risks captured in a meeting minutes template right back to a master table, without copy and past. I would also love basic math in the tables. Simple +-/*,Avg, Count stuff. Nothing too fancy. Finally, more widgets are always welcome to embed web content and tools like Jira, MSFT SharePoint or PPM tools like Smartsheet, Monday, etc. Slite is my tool of choice for Meeting Mintues and docyment collaboration. But without PPM integration, we are forced to use it as a temp space and then carry them over to OneNote, Excel, or Word and post to our PPM tool of choice.

**Recommendations to others considering Slite:**

Very solid and easy-to-use documentation and thought collaboration tool that can help you augment your PPM tool kit.

**What problems is Slite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Deep use with customer collaboration around meeting minutes and brainstorming and also utilizing Slite for process documentation which changes regularly, such as Role and Responsibility documents for Project, etc.

**Official Response from Clément Rog:**

> Thanks for your really constructive feedback. On "linking tables inputs back to a master", we've just released Collections! I put the link below, let me know if it helps! Have a great day

  ### 17. Account Manager

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 24, 2022

**What do you like best about Slite?**

Very easy to use
the website Layout is very clear
You can modify text easily.
The use of Slite is simple and efficent.
No Slite bug or crash yet.

**What do you dislike about Slite?**

To be honest, I do not dislike it much of Slite.
I am an SAP, and Oracle expert and using Slite is like using a social app.

**Recommendations to others considering Slite:**

I have been using many devices and Slite is an easy and complete app to use.

**What problems is Slite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lucky me, I have not yet accounter any problems with Slite.

  ### 18. Slite is a super nice tool, easy to use and helping a lot for collaborative work

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 09, 2022

**What do you like best about Slite?**

The simplicity of use.
It is user-friendly and contains all the needed features (adding charts, emoticons, images, links, etc).

**What do you dislike about Slite?**

I did not encounter any difficulties using Slite, so currently I have nothing to dislike

**What problems is Slite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slite allows us to have a shared company library where all the documents are accessible easily.

  ### 19. A great way to build an internal knowledge hub and document everything

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rami E. | Content Executive, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 02, 2022

**What do you like best about Slite?**

It's easy to use and pretty intuitive. The team is great and generally quick to respond. Had the chance to speak with their product team while working on a new feature, and that experience was great.

**What do you dislike about Slite?**

I don't dislike anything about the solution.

**What problems is Slite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slite helps keep things organized and in one place and allows our teams to collaborate pretty easily. They're currently working on their "Discussion" feature and it's looking pretty good so far. A great way to keep conversations and their related documents in one place, especially when working remotely.

  ### 20. Good features and constant improvement

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in E-Learning | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 26, 2022

**What do you like best about Slite?**

Slite is a knowledge management system with many nice editing features and you can quickly learn how to use it without reading any documentation. The graphic interface is intuitive and friendly and allows you to make your documents appear in a clear and attractive way. I also like the readiness of the client support.

**What do you dislike about Slite?**

In my opinion there is still some work to do with the iPad application. The formatting options are already there, but they could be extended and refined as regards the final appearance.

**What problems is Slite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slite has of course the chance to become a better substitute for shared text documents.

  ### 21. The well liked and sporty friend of Notion

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel S. | Online Marketer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 07, 2022

**What do you like best about Slite?**

Slite delivers a lean app design with a lot of cool integrations. The support-team behind is smart, kind and lightning-fast. It is not yet as comprehensive as Notion, but it is designed for clarity and performance.

**What do you dislike about Slite?**

Great ideas in the pipeline, but wish they would be implemented a little faster. The web and MacOS App is great, but iPad still looks and feels a bit different.

**What problems is Slite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

60% of the time I use it for my client projects (online marketing) to capture ideas, content and progress and share it with my clients. The rest is documentation of my processes.

  ### 22. Great platform and performance

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 28, 2022

**What do you like best about Slite?**

I love the fact that I can access all my business SOP's and all our templates in a single search. We use this along with Guru. I've never used another site however, in comparison to using Gsuite this is amazing.

**What do you dislike about Slite?**

There is nothing missing, I would suggest some integrations with other sites, however, it works great and I have no complaints. This is a great product and I am happy that we use it.

**What problems is Slite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have daily work templates we need to access at the push of a button, sometimes during a client call. I love that I am able to access all the SOP's and templates with one search

  ### 23. Easy & Clear

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 27, 2022

**What do you like best about Slite?**

The editor is easy to use, the performances are lightning fast and the drawing/sketching is natively integrated.

**What do you dislike about Slite?**

Slite is only available in English, it misses some languages translations.

**What problems is Slite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slite helps us building and maintaining a knowledge base. Thanks to Slite it is easy to share knowledge across the whole company.

  ### 24. Best team documentation software

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rihan A. | System Operations, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 23, 2022

**What do you like best about Slite?**

Slite has an excellent UI and their editor makes writing extremely easy

**What do you dislike about Slite?**

Any issue/missing feature I had with Slite in the last few years have been sorted/implemented. No complaints.

**Recommendations to others considering Slite:**

If you're coming from Confluence, Wiki.js or Sharepoint, Slite significantly reduces time to write high-quality docs with their top-class editor.

**What problems is Slite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Knowledge is shared across the team. Making guides and notes about things is super quick, compared to other traditional wiki software.

  ### 25. The Perfect Asynchronous Tool for Knowledge Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lance C. | Associate Professor Of English, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2022

**What do you like best about Slite?**

Slite focuses on linked docs that can be discussed and updated asynchronously. The best feature is being abe to create card links or buttons from anywhere.

**What do you dislike about Slite?**

There is not an easy way to direct message or have a discussion unrelated to a doc. That said, the beta discussion space has a lot of promise.

**What problems is Slite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Slite to store course content for my classes -- like a textbook. But then I also have a workspace for each class where students create together.

**Official Response from Clément Rog:**

> Thanks Lance for leaving this great review! For direct message, you can create a discussion right from a private channel – I'll add a link below. To create a discussion unrelated to a doc, I recommend creating it a the root of a channel (ex: Discussing overall strategy could be at the root of #general or #strategy) – so that it gives enough context to the prople contributing! Have a great day!

  ### 26. Slite makes it easy for us to have our internal documentation in one place, in a searchable format!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeana C. | HR Project Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 18, 2022

**What do you like best about Slite?**

I love the ease of creating documents, sharing them with my colleagues, and searching for content.

**What do you dislike about Slite?**

Sometimes, I wish there were additional features like changing the color of the text or different formatting.

**What problems is Slite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're moving our team's internal documentation to Slite rather than in various documents shared across the organization. It's so much easier to be able to search for the information we're looking for that we couldn't search for previously, even across other teams in our organization.

**Official Response from Clément Rog:**

> Thanks Jeana for your kind and constructive review! We understand well there could be more features and customization, but it'd come with other concessions. We're looking to make the editor evolve and will be releasing new things this year around text formatting, so please stay tuned! Have a wonderful day!

  ### 27. Very easy to use and makes writing documentation a pleasure

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2022

**What do you like best about Slite?**

Slite has a great interface that makes it super easy to edit documents. You just click on the page and start typing. I also like the left-hand side tree view of the entire documentation structure, making it very convenient to see all of your documents and the overall structure. Setting up your private documentation space also comes built-in from the start, and it's effortless to share individual documents with anyone since there is no need o fiddle with permissions or anything like that.

**What do you dislike about Slite?**

Although it never happened to me personally, I've seen people in my team lose all the formatting of a table they had worked on for several hours because someone else used an older version of the iPad app to view the document. Viewing documents shouldn't destroy them, irrespective of how old an app is.

**What problems is Slite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy documentation writing and collaboration. I feel that we waste less time fighting the interface with Slite compared to other similar offerings, and it really makes writing documentation a pleasure instead of a chore.

**Official Response from Clément Rog:**

> Thanks for leaving us a review, and the care you put into this feedback. We're aware we had some issue on iPad or mobile, and we've organized things internally to make it really better this year. Thanks for trusting us, we're really honored to have you! Have a great day

**What do you like best about Slite?**

Integrations and support have been the highlights thus far (been a user for a year).

**What do you dislike about Slite?**

Our company uses Slite as a knowledge base for the whole company and that can be hard to manage at times with so many inputs

**Recommendations to others considering Slite:**

Super easy to use. Support us amazing.

**What problems is Slite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Documenting all internal processes for existing and new employees.

  ### 29. Amazing Experience with Slite!

The ease of use wherein you can start jumping on Slite with 0 knowledge on the product.
Beautiful and simple UI
Pack with basic and useful features!

**What do you dislike about Slite?**

It's currently in their pipeline.
I need to be able to embed html and make analytical graphs like bar charts trendline.
I'd like to replace our google data studio and move over to Slite completely.

**What problems is Slite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Documentation. We chose s lite to host our knowledge base

**Official Response from Clément Rog:**

> Thanks John for your review, we're glad you trust us! Have a wonderful day

  ### 30. Slite: Forward thinking document management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 07, 2022

**What do you like best about Slite?**

One of the first things I do in the morning is to check Slite's Catch Up feature. Which, along with notifications, are beneficial for me to find what might have changed in the company quickly.

**What do you dislike about Slite?**

There are some features like presenting a video along with an intro doc that I've found by reading blogs and not something I've come across naturally while using the app.

**Recommendations to others considering Slite:**

Check out the blog and update notes; great stuff happens all the time.

**What problems is Slite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Slite for team meetings notes, training materials, internal communication, and private docs. Slite handles everything well, especially with its search features.

  ### 31. helpful

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Federico A. | Bike Doctor, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 23, 2021

**What do you like best about Slite?**

I like how simple the user interface is because that makes it easy to use. The search is also a gut feature, eventhough results are sometimes to long.

**What do you dislike about Slite?**

Sometimes when searching, results are to long and cannot find what I want. It also needs to be more documentation. There no or too little information for some things.

**Recommendations to others considering Slite:**

Try to be precise on your search parameters.

**What problems is Slite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In the beginning, it was beneficial because I was learning about error codes and how to fix the different problems on the bikes. And I'm still learning about many parts, like the Sturmey Archer hubs.

  ### 32. Amazing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Logan H. | Systems Administrator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 03, 2022

**What do you like best about Slite?**

Super clean, easy to use. Moves away from word-dense documentation.

**What do you dislike about Slite?**

No user/group sync. Which makes it more difficult to provision access.

**What problems is Slite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lack of department documentation. Repeating questions and nowhere to look for answers.

  ### 33. From a daily Slite user since 2 years! (pro & personal use)

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Timothée B. | Partnerships Officer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 01, 2021

**What do you like best about Slite?**

The easy way to write, save and classify all my docs.
Also, the fact that I've different options to structure my documents, so I also (sometimes) use Slite for other things that just write a quick note.
The possibility to use Slite as a landing page that I can publish on the web.

**What do you dislike about Slite?**

The product is not very convenient to use when I want to build fancy documents and supports. That's why most of the time I'm using Slite just to write a quick note during my call and then share it with my team, or save it for my next meeting.
I think you should suggest more templates and with an easier access to make rapidly the docs more fluid to read, and also build landing pages.

Another thing I think you should improve is the navbar. I don't find it very convenient. I have a lot of docs in my Slite and I spend my time moving from one doc to another which is in the opposite channel. I have to say that I'm losing a bit of time switching.

**What problems is Slite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm solving the need to write quick notes that I can find easily after, the possibility to invite people on a specific page/channel as a viewer or editor.
That's very efficient and that's why I'm using slite every day to write all the notes I take and some important documents.

**Official Response from Clément Rog:**

> Hey Timothée, thanks a lot for your detailed review and feedback 🙌

Have you tried the new cover pictures/videos, doc cards and directories to build fancier docs?

Have a good day, thanks again!

  ### 34. Slite is the best doc manager for small/med teams

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2022

**What do you like best about Slite?**

Slite has not always been a great app but the velocity this team optimizes existing features and releases new ones is admirable. Search functionality is top and never failed me so far. Personally I appreciate the "Slack-like" menu on the left handside, it is clean and easy to navigate. You can also give an emoji to each document which is super helpful to find later. Also the text editor has as many options as necessary with a clean font and good line spaces.

**What do you dislike about Slite?**

There's been some issues we had in adding new members to Slite and some minor with bullet lists.
Also, It is missing integrations and webhooks which is VERY important for us.

**What problems is Slite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a clean and easy to navigate document repository that its easy for all team members to navigate and onboard to.

**Reviewed Date:** April 18, 2022

**What do you like best about Slite?**

Many special features like creating specific groups or channels. calls or recording, I like the status function as well.

If i try to enter in the next like it just posts my message. There should be something for that enter function

**Recommendations to others considering Slite:**

MOST OF TIME I CANT GET THE NOTIFICATION

**What problems is Slite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It just cut the major time of typing an email and easy to reach out any one in the organization

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 01, 2022

**What do you like best about Slite?**

It is useful to use, I can add documents that people can download without having trouble and the fact that I set up private content for each one of my clients.

**What do you dislike about Slite?**

The amount of documents I can add to the platform and it has some technical issues when I'm using it on my phone. So, if you fix that it would be greatly appreciated it.

**What problems is Slite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can share notes with my clients, privacy issues and have everything under one platform is great. I'm much more productive using that platform.

  ### 37. I tried it once; and now I'm Slite-addicted!

Organized, clean, accessible, and usable for all team members from different areas of interest.

**What do you dislike about Slite?**

The privilege management system is not straight to the point, and after 2 years of using it we still don't know how to set it up correctly.

**Recommendations to others considering Slite:**

Go for it and keep your procedures safe and sound at one place!

**What problems is Slite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

  ### 44. Slite = A good documenting software but have some flaws.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 18, 2022

**What do you like best about Slite?**

Differenet abilities, text decorations, Smart tables, Good hierarchy in both indexing articles and document formats like h1 h2 h3 ...

**What do you dislike about Slite?**

The notifications systems, Rtl have some problems, Not a good typeface for arabic and persian language are the most problems.
Maybe add a personal space for each user or maybe help an organization system for private docs and favorites folder.

**What problems is Slite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Documenting, A-sync communication with product teams, Templates and auto generated documents are such a huge blessing.

**Official Response from Clément Rog:**

> Thanks for leaving us a review, we appreciate you take the time. We're working hard on the notification systems as we're working on Discussions. There'll be great changes in the weeks to come! On better handling of persian we shipped RTL support in tables, and fixed errors with CMD + Z (undo) 18 days ago. Please keep sending us feedback on this, we want to make it work great for you.
On your other remark, each accounts has a native Private Docs folder, that you can organize with no limit (cards, directories, link from public docs, etc.). We've released Collections last week (link below) that may be a great help for organizing your space. In all cases, you still can create a Private Channel if you need more, no-one will be able to access this content! Hope it helps, thanks again for trusting us.

I use the Slite application for work and personal use to manage notes, create reusable templates (daily check-ins), and collaborate with co-workers. The product feels snappy, and the UX/UI is great! I would totally recommend Slite to anyone looking to level up their collaboration/knowledge base.

**What do you dislike about Slite?**

There is nothing that I can think of. I want to learn more about the product.

**Recommendations to others considering Slite:**

Give Slite a try!

**What problems is Slite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Team Knowledge Base, enhance collaboration with co-workers, crafted with excellent design and consideration.

**Official Response from Clément Rog:**

> Thanks Oscar for taking the time to leave a review. We're glad to have you!

  ### 46. There is no API to access our data

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Management Consulting | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 14, 2022

**What do you like best about Slite?**

The Text Editor and the fact that you can put emoji everywhere. It looks nice.

**What do you dislike about Slite?**

The fact that there is no API to extract the data that we wrote. And convert it to something else.

**Recommendations to others considering Slite:**

I don't have recommendations. This form is way too long. I'm bored now.

**What problems is Slite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Writing collaborative documentation with my team, and building our common knowledge.

  ### 47. Preferred tool for knowledge sharing

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2022

**What do you like best about Slite?**

It's perfect for knowledge sharing in different formats and making it all easy accessible for everyone in the organization

**What do you dislike about Slite?**

Wouldn't say there's anything significant I don't like about it - the options are endless

**Recommendations to others considering Slite:**

Great tool, easy to use, lots of functions (I haven't explored all myself, yet), perfect for knowledge sharing, great formatting options

**What problems is Slite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having a knowledge platform also available to users outside of the organization

**Official Response from Clément Rog:**

> Thanks a lot for taking the time to leave this review! We're very glad to have you onboard. I wish you a great week

  ### 48. Great tools to share and work together as a team

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 12, 2022

**What do you like best about Slite?**

Its easy to use and understand. Easy to share documents and collaborate with the team. I use this to track and take notes on my software projects. More cheaper than other softwares.

**What do you dislike about Slite?**

Too many reminders about features in slite when you start to use it. Limitted number of notes for free version, mobile version not works best, sometimes too slow.

**What problems is Slite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use this to keep track my notes for software development. Its easy to use specially when you have multiple files and documents needed to use. It's convenient specially when sending docs to team.

  ### 49. A brilliant information organising and collaboration tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 01, 2021

**What do you like best about Slite?**

Slite's interface is highly intuitive - all the things you'd expect and hope for and a few extras as well. I use the system to draft material, collaborate with my co-workers and consultants, and maintain information. It's far more useful than a Google Doc for these purposes.

**What do you dislike about Slite?**

There are inevitably some limitations, but I'm hesitant to make declarations as many of the features I have wished for in the past have turned out to be available; I didn't know how to do it yet. Essentially, however, I don't seem to be able to embed pages within content in the way I would like to...

**What problems is Slite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slite helps me with documents and notes that need to be public or published, especially those that might change in the future. Fundamentally, it's a wiki for information for our organisation. I've tried a few tools before for this kind of issue, and it's much easier to use than others and head and shoulders over the default (Google Docs).

**Official Response from Clément Rog:**

> Thanks for taking the time to leave us a review, we appreciate it a lot!

Could you please be more specific regarding "embed pages within content the way you'd like it to be"?

I wish you a great day!

Everyone should join Slite as it's really easy to organize all your team's tasks.

**What problems is Slite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy to organize information, quick access and super fast to catch up with updates and other departments' work.
