I like the ability for students to share pictures and vote for one another's responses immediately. I also appreciate the dual-screen development during slide creation, so you can see how your slides will show up on participant phones and the projector. They also come with really stylish, professional-looking background images and overlays. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are very few options inside their innovative slide formats! If I create a multiple-choice question, there is no option for students to add their own answers. Likewise, in polls, they cannot add their own answers! As an ESL teacher, this is a huge handicap as it holds back the creative reach of any activities you make via Slides With Friends. There doesn't seem to be an easy way to insert things like pictures into the slides, and you're generally forced into the pre-formatted slides it comes with. There is no option to hyperlink the slides to provide a variable course for different classes either, despite Choose-Your-Own-Adventure slide decks showing up prominently on the Popular Decks page. This technology is new and shows much promise, but it's still far from its full potential. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
