Excellent uptime. I love that about simian.

I am a developer, so uptime is a very important aspect when deciding what to use. A 0.01% is a lot when calculated by YEAR. So, I love that simian is almost never offline. They guarantee 99.999 percent uptime. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Their Developer API isn't that strong. Which is kinda bad for me as I develop a lot.

Also, it's not encrypted at all. I would have loved to see its end-to-end encrypted. That'd make my data safer. Sometimes I don't want my data to be scrapped by a crawler and seen by a robot, unfortunately now I can't really do much about it as it's not encrypted. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Our company switched from Wiredrive several years ago and haven't looked back. While the two interfaces were very similar, we've found Simian to have some stand out features that made us like this service over the other. While certainly not the most intuitive or future-proof video hosting service i've used, it certainly is much MUCH More affordable than most. Frustrated by the fact that archival videos have to have their data streaming limited to 3mbps - that is certainly not a future-proof video quality; would prefer to use something more data rich than that when considering an archival spec. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
