Silverfort's policy options are vast but intuitive. Policies can also be created from the product's logs, pre-filling the majority of the policy. Service account visibility is very good and creating policies around those service accounts is easy. The new privileged access security feature is good and provides options like virtual fencing and just in time access. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I have a hard time coming up with many issues with the product itself, there are some nit-picky things like if you want to upgrade to a newer version, you must get approval from support or your account manager, then they allow that update to push down to your appliances. There were some issues with virtual nodes in past versions, but support was quick to gather logs, implement a work around, then provide a patch that resolved the issue all in a timely manner. It helps us actually protect our internal environment with MFA and not just interactive logins, but PSExec, PS and more as opposed to solutions like DUO that only can protect interactive logins and require to be installed on every workstation to be protected. It's great we can utilize our existing Azure MFA setup we have in place and not require users to download and configure yet another MFA app. And the fact we only have to install on our DC and not every workstation is amazing. The dashboard and interface look great, but while it has good looks, there really isn't any actual functionality behind it. Trying to investigate threats or incidents results in clicking yourself in a circle trying to find any relevant information on said specific threat/incident. They have the ability to filter, but it would be nice for them to take you right to the pieces of the log when you clicked.

The workflows on the interface could also be more efficient; there is a lot of good information presented, but you can't click on it to be taken to more information or even take action to mark something as a "false positive", so to speak. You have to go to a completely different page and find that account and mark it there.

They could also be a little more descript in their flagging of events. We have had users get flagged as HIGH or CRITICAL risk but only have a single "Abnormal Authentication" risk indicator. What does that mean, and why did they jump to critical? It would be nice to know that information so we can work to educate or remediate if it's a behavior we can adjust with the user or a configuration change we need to make.

Finally, the PoC and implementation weren't the greatest, I think we had a new guy, but we ended up having some issues that ended up being a software bug that required an update. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

After purchasing Silverfort has helped us through every step of the way from implementation, support, and upgrades. I wish the mobile app was a little more modern looking, had an import feature from other MFA applications, and I wish the solution was able to email the IT team upon detecting an anomaly. I also wish they were on DIR so that other Government entities could take advantage of this solution. The pricing is higher than what most would expect. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Before I speak a little more about it, the best thing about this is the support. This tool is flexible in implementing Multi-Factor Authentication in several different ways. You can set it up for Remote Desktop, VPN, on-site login and more. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The App has been updated to relieve the one difficulty we had initially. Previously the app had to be uninstalled from a user's phone if you wanted to remove an account. Its implementation is relatively simple. Made easy by Silverfort's custom scripting to integrate to a customer landscape. Dashboards are clean and concise.

Syslog shipping makes it easy to collect LDAP and KRBGT events across an enterprise for later investigation and/or real time monitoring with a SIEM.

Silverfort's turnaround time from new idea to feature is rather impressive.

Testing against "Pass the Hash" attacks was thwarted every time. And most man-in-the-middle attacks as well. Two attacks other 2FA solutions fall short on more times than not. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

If this were to be used on a SOC floor, of some sort, there is a limitation on defining granular permission per Silverfort User. This feature is more geared towards case management and segregation of visibility and to their credit Silverfort never advertised it. Its more of my personal "...like to have...". It installed very quick, they said 2-3 hours and that's what it took. Were able to get basic MFA working for all employees really quick on all our applications. Added advanced adaptive and step-up MFA on a use-case by use-case basis. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
