# Which engineering document management platform is easiest for a remote engineering team to use on tablets and phones without forcing everyone to a desktop browser?

<p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">Hey G2 reviewers and researchers, especially anyone answering from a distributed team.</p><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">I'm trying to figure out which engineering document management platform is easiest for a remote engineering team to use on tablets and phones, without forcing everyone back to a desktop browser. I went through the<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/categories/engineering-document-management"> </a><a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/categories/engineering-document-management">engineering document management</a> category and tested the mobile claims.</p><ul>

<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/m-files/reviews"><strong>M-Files</strong></a>: real iOS and Android apps, and I liked that files can be flagged for offline use and synced back later. G2 reviewers rate it easy to use, which matters most on a small screen.</li>
<li>
<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/docuware/reviews"><strong>DocuWare</strong></a>: mobile apps with the same feature set on both platforms, including workflow approvals from the phone. It's a general document tool though, so CAD-heavy teams should test their file types first.</li>
<li>
<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/teamcenter/reviews"><strong>Siemens Teamcenter</strong></a>: its browser client runs on tablets and phones with nothing installed, so reviews and approvals travel well. The platform itself is a much bigger commitment than the other two.</li>

&lt;p&gt;From G2 reviews, viewing reliably works on mobile across all three — approvals and markups are where it quietly breaks down, with reviewers describing markup tools on phones as technically present but practically frustrating on anything smaller than a large tablet. M-Files gets the most consistent praise for mobile usability in real field conditions, specifically the offline sync, while DocuWare holds up well for approval workflows on phones as long as the files are standard documents rather than large CAD drawings.&lt;/p&gt;
