"Best way to use google sheet as backend for lightweight and intermediate websites"

What do you like best about SheetDB?

Best thing is you can spin up the service in no time. Implementation and integration with backend is very easy. SheetDB provides various features which no ther service offers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SheetDB?

Pricing can be little lower considering many developers and small organizations use this, other than this nothing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is SheetDB solving and how is that benefiting you?

Problem we solved with SheetDB is of backend DB. Earlier we were using mysql and mongodb for accessing customer information and storing new details for leads. This was taking too much time, but with SheetDB we were able to let go of DBs and connect our website forms and functionslities to google spreadsheets so that our website became lightweigh.

"SheetDB is awesome in making Google Sheet a database and exposing it through REST API"

What do you like best about SheetDB?

I use Google Sheets for some of the use cases related to data. I find SheetDB really helpful when there is a requirement to perform actions programmatically on the Google Sheet. When we request any data through REST API, it provides that data in JSON format which is used by all kinds of applications, and that makes it developer-friendly and easy to implement features around spreadsheets.

The interface looks very intuitive and easy to use. Since it exposes the REST API, it will be easy to integrate sheets db into other applications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SheetDB?

A few improvements can be made:

1. When we enable/disable REST API methods on the settings page, a quick description of what that API does will be helpful.

2. It will be great if the POST request can support `application/json` format of the data. Currently, it needs to mention each field separately using `-d` flag.

3. Having the ability to create API docs like Swagger for the API we have created would be a great addition. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is SheetDB solving and how is that benefiting you?

Few problems that SheetDB solves for me:

1. I can get the data from sheets using CURL request in the terminal which is what I'm used to as a developer.

2. The data returned is in JSON format which makes it easy to use quickly in other operations like using in some scripts.

"Easy solution to convert google sheets into API"

What do you like best about SheetDB?

If you application does not support integration with Google sheet then no worries you can convert your google sheet into the API and Integrate the API with any application or tool.

Aprt from GET request, users can do Post, Put requests as well in the API. this makes the sheetDB more adoptable for the developers.

What do you dislike about SheetDB?

What do you like best about SheetDB?
