Second Talent is a global talent platform that connects Startups &amp; Enterprises with AI-native engineering talent from the Philippines, Vietnam, and across Asia. Second Talent was founded after our previous company experienced firsthand how difficult it was to build a reliable engineering team across Asia. We weren&#39;t looking to offshore work, we were looking for great engineers. The problem was that the existing platforms weren&#39;t built for that. So we built our own. Today, Second Talent connects 200+ companies globally with engineering talent across nine Asian markets: Vietnam, the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong, China, and Thailand. We&#39;ve placed over 10,000 engineers into product teams in AI, SaaS, fintech, and e-commerce, companies that needed to move fast without compromising on quality or compliance. We handle sourcing, vetting, matching, and ongoing management so that engineers can focus on the work, and companies can focus on building.

**What do you like best about Second Talent?**

The talent quality has been consistently strong. Everyone we’ve worked with was already comfortable using AI tools as part of their day-to-day workflow, so we didn’t have to spend time teaching new processes or explaining how we operate. They were proactive and collaborative, and they were able to start contributing almost immediately. Another standout has been the account management: the team is responsive, clear in their communication, and quick to adjust whenever our priorities shift. Overall, it feels like they’re genuinely invested in helping us find the right people, rather than simply filling a request.

**What do you dislike about Second Talent?**

Overall, my experience has been very positive. The only improvement I’d suggest is offering more visibility into upcoming AI-native talent, as that would make it even easier to plan future projects.

**What problems is Second Talent solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our team often runs multiple growth initiatives at the same time, so we occasionally need additional support without slowing down execution. One challenge has always been finding people who already understand AI products and modern AI-driven workflows. Second Talent consistently introduced AI-native talent who adapted quickly to the way we work, contributed meaningful ideas, and became productive with very little ramp-up. That made it much easier to keep campaigns, product launches, and growth experiments moving without losing momentum.

**What do you like best about Second Talent?**

I really like Second Talent because it connects skillful talent to global opportunities. Yosafat Tobing, an agent at Second Talent, is incredibly professional, helpful, and always communicative. This made my process of landing a full-time remote offer very smooth and trustworthy. The communication style and responsiveness are something I truly appreciate, and I would recommend their service to others looking for quality talent matching. I also find Read.ai and Fireflies.ai, the third-party services they use, very helpful for recapping meetings with their summaries and action items.

**What do you dislike about Second Talent?**

Perhaps a dedicated portal or dashboard where candidates can track their application status in real-time would be a nice addition.

**What problems is Second Talent solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Second Talent to connect with global opportunities. They help match skillful talent with suitable jobs, making the process smooth. I landed a remote offer thanks to their fast, helpful communication. Their use of Read.ai and Fireflies.ai provides helpful meeting recaps.

Our approval cycles aren't fast, and they adapted without complaint — kept documentation clean, flagged risks early, and never made us feel like we were being difficult. That kind of reliability matters when you have multiple stakeholders and audit requirements.

More proactive check-ins during the approvals stage would have been helpful. There were quieter periods where we had to initiate contact to confirm things were still moving.
