Once farmed, Viya facilitates the analysis of particular points of interest that business industry experts utilize for parts acquistion and transition from wharehouses. In turn, we often utilize the farmed data to create forecastable models for predictive demands and acquistion. For ad hoc requests, the multitude of data types allows for end-user input and ultimately they're the individuals and organizations that we serve. The visual studio provides for an a customizable dashboard for senior leaders in our organization to make strategic decisions that can affect global operations. **What do you dislike about SAS Viya?** In studio, perhaps a better elaboration in the debugging process when errors are thrown in the execution of a program. Generally, it will provide a specific code to highlight particular errors. It would be helpful, as in a Python IDE, to be able to jump to the specific section of the code with a recommendations for correction. **What problems is SAS Viya solving and how is that benefiting you?** SAS Viya currently solves a multitude of problems in the logical support of the aviation industry. It is able to show and highlight data that is critical for strategic decision makers in my organization. It also provides a forecastable capability of items for aviation support and acquisition. ### 39. As a SAS Viya user, I have found the platform to be user friendly because of multiple visual user controls. I especially like the SAS Visual analytics forecasting due to the different forecasting models such as ARIMA/ESM and Naive forecasting models that are in-built and the platform's ability to compare across these models and suggest the best performing model. **What do you dislike about SAS Viya?** Over 6 months of using the SAS Viya platform, the main problem I have encountered is the lack of participation and contribution in SAS user forums and a majority of issues and problem encountered in using the tool remain unresolved. In my opinion the slow speed and the perceived lack of detailed user documentation is the main drawback in adopting the platform across many companies. SAS Viya is also an expensive proposition due to high licensing cost. It would probably take 12-18 months to look at a positive ROI in my opinion. **What problems is SAS Viya solving and how is that benefiting you?** SAS Viya Platform provides the tools and techniques for large businesses to analyze past performance data and understand trends and outliers. For example, businesses use SAS Viya to understand past sales trend and can use the forecasting and estimation to plan and optimize sales force deployment for the future. Credit card and mortgage companies can use the platform to process voluminous amount of data and use machine learning methods such as logistical regression and decision tree analysis to predict the likelihood of purchase of a new credit card or applying for a new loan within certain segments of the prospective customer base. The ability of the platform to process vast amount of data and the multitude of visual analytic tools at its disposal makes SAS Viya a compelling platform for businesses to adopt. ### 45. It appears to be one tool for everything. **What do you dislike about SAS Viya?** There are variousl low hanging fruits that SAS can better manage. For example, during the hackathon the CSV file imported numeric variables as character variables. The only way to change this is to create new variables, use the input function, delete old variables and rename new variables to old variables. Viya should borrow from Power BI & allow for converting variables through point and click. Basic data cleaning should be GUI based so data scientists can get to finding answers instead of spending time cleaning data. **What problems is SAS Viya solving and how is that benefiting you?** Crunching through large datasets ### 49.
