What I like best about Salfy is how simple and intuitive the platform is to use. It makes managing employee benefits much easier and gives employees a lot of flexibility in choosing the benefits that actually matter to them. There is honestly not much to dislike. As with any platform, there is always some room for small improvements and additional features, but overall the experience with Salfy has been very positive. For me, the biggest point is that all the administrative hassle simply disappears. Previously, we collected receipts via email, maintained them in Excel, and manually handed them over to payroll every month – today, meal subsidies, non-cash benefits, and job tickets are completely managed through the platform and automatically end up in the payroll. Salfy handles the receipt verification itself, which was the biggest time saver for us.
I also like that we no longer have to feel uncertain about payroll taxes. The allowances are properly monitored and everything is documented in compliance with GoBD – during the last audit, we could simply export the logs, which was much more relaxed than before.
The employees get along well with the app, we hardly had to explain anything. And if a special tax question does come up, you actually get a well-founded answer from support and not just a link to the FAQ. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There's not much. The start was somewhat demanding at first – less because of the software, more because you have to familiarize yourself with the tax conditions of the individual benefits. And for reporting, I wish for more flexibility: for my own analyses, I currently still export the data to Excel. Both are minor issues that do not mar the overall impression. Salfy is not pressing us into one benefit model, it can be adapted to our setup. We have different employee groups and several locations, so this was for us the most important point. Per group we can define which benefits and budgets are valid, without building an extra workaround for every variant. Also the AI receipt check is a big help. Every receipt gets checked automatically against the tax rules, and if something is unclear, a benefit auditor from Salfy has a look on it. I was a bit sceptical about AI in this topic in the beginning, but at the end it simply means less checking by hand for HR. I ended up liking it a lot actually! Salfy brought structure to something that used to depend on individual arrangements. Eligibility, budgets and proof documents are now managed in one place instead of being spread across different lists. For us the problem was never a single benefit. It was all the small exceptions, late questions and lists that kept changing. Salfy makes that operational side visible, and it stays reliable in daily use. I also like that every uploaded receipt goes through an AI check. Anything the system can’t clearly assign is passed to a Salfy benefit auditor, so I no longer have to chase every document myself. Everything sits in one platform instead of several separate provider portals. The part that changed my day-to-day most is that I no longer handle receipts myself. Employees upload them in the app, Salfy's own OCR and AI check every single receipt against the applicable tax rules, and in the admin cockpit I only see the resulting status. Benefits and budgets can be set per employee or per group rather than as one flat setup for everyone. The payroll-relevant data is handed over already prepared, so nobody has to assemble a spreadsheet at the end of the month. Nothing that holds us up day to day, but the employee overview could carry a bit more context. It lists personnel number, name, budget, active benefits and role, so when I need to know which site or cost centre someone belongs to, or when they joined or left, I switch to our HR system for that one detail. Budgets themselves can be assigned per group, so the grouping logic clearly exists in the background. Having it visible as a column and filterable in the list would save that extra step.
