"Simple, Reliable Payroll with Helpful Reports and a Much-Improved AI Agent"
4/5
What do you like best about RUN Powered by ADP?

I like RUN ADP’s simple interface. It doesn’t come with a lot of bells and whistles, which makes it much easier to find the critical functions and reports than in other ADP versions I’ve used. The popular reports it highlights are genuinely useful, and most of the time, if I can’t figure something out, the AI agent can point me to the right report to find what I’m looking for.

I also like that it’s modular, so you can add or remove services as needed. It performs well and usually doesn’t require much beyond a few data-entry points to accomplish what I need. Support has definitely improved in recent years compared to previous iterations, and the AI agent, in particular, improved dramatically in Q2 2026.

Pricing-wise, it tends to be more expensive than other bare-bones services that have been pitched to me. That said, payroll is one of those things that simply needs to work, so we’re comfortable paying a bit more for a long track record of success. The number of available integrations seems robust, but we don’t use any of them, so I can’t really speak to their value. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about RUN Powered by ADP?

The PTO bank and its functions weren’t intuitive, and we ran into issues right from the start. They were fixable, but it still caused a headache. I also don’t like how it feels like I’m constantly being pitched upsells while I’m using the platform—it’s annoying. Onboarding was pretty much non-existent for us, so we largely had to figure things out on our own. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Quick, reliable chat for complete resolutions"
5/5
What do you like best about RUN Powered by ADP?

When I have an issue, I can use the chat for a quick resolution. If I can't find it there, an agent is always very helpful and efficient. I can actually see patients while resolving issues. That is how efficient their chat option is. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about RUN Powered by ADP?

Sometimes it does weird things like this past time I had an employee who clocked in and out and for some reason, ADP didn't recognize it and charged them a 30 minute lunch which was built in ONLY to happen with 7 continuous hours. I had to disable this feature and now have to manually adjust time when someone doesn't clock in an out for lunch. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Stress-Free Tax Handling, but Holiday Pay Hours Need Manual Accuracy"
3/5
What do you like best about RUN Powered by ADP?

What I find most helpful about ADP RUN is that I don’t have to worry about taxes or dealing with the IRS until it’s time to file. I can focus on simply entering my employees’ payroll hours. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about RUN Powered by ADP?

What I dislike most about ADP RUN is that I have to double-check that holiday hours are entered correctly and that the right amount of pay is entered; otherwise, employees don’t get paid the correct amounts. I also have to manually enter holiday hours because the software doesn’t seem to understand that it should only pay the actual hours worked within the 24-hour holiday period. For example, if someone starts work at 11 on the holiday and works until 5 a.m., it should only pay one hour of holiday pay, but it tries to pay them six hours instead. "ADP Streamlined Payroll and Time Tracking for Better Efficiency"
5/5
What do you like best about RUN Powered by ADP?

ADP has made running our office so much easier. We use it for employee time tracking, and the geofencing feature helps ensure accurate clock-ins and clock-outs, giving us confidence that time is being recorded correctly. It has streamlined our payroll process and significantly reduced the time and effort required for administrative tasks. Overall, it's been a great tool for improving efficiency and accountability. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about RUN Powered by ADP?

The learning curve when we first implemented the system took a little time, but once everyone got comfortable with it, it became very easy to use...Really haven't had any issues with it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Efficient Payroll and Onboarding with Great AI Support"
4/5
What do you like best about RUN Powered by ADP?

I would say RUN Powered by ADP is relatively easy to use, making the process easier with helpful step-by-step guidance through prompted questions. I like the AI agent because it can usually help me, and when it can't, the live support in the chat box is really helpful with quick responses. The payroll feature is especially helpful because it prompts me when I've forgotten to prorate the pay if needed, helping me catch things that might have slipped through the cracks. The AI agent adds value by providing good responses to my questions during payroll or onboarding. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about RUN Powered by ADP?

We'll go back to the AI. The AI definitely could be improved, and that would probably be easier. Just improved with being able to answer my questions, I mean, being able to provide me the option for a live agent when I can't answer my questions. Sorry. And the other part is the onboarding allowing me to be able to make it more personalized with certain documents that the company requires that we have signed. So outside of the general, you know, forms that are needed for onboarding by, you know, by law and stuff. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"User-Friendly Payroll and Scheduling Powerhouse"
5/5
What do you like best about RUN Powered by ADP?

I really like the user-friendly interface of RUN Powered by ADP, especially for the more advanced schedule reporting. For example, it shows us how many shifts are being missed each week, which helps us better understand how our revenue is being impacted. The employee onboarding process continues to evolve and feels seamless. RUN Powered by ADP also makes it easy to schedule employees and quickly adjust the schedule for last-minute changes, like call-outs. On top of that, it’s a helpful tool that keeps payroll smooth and essentially effortless. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about RUN Powered by ADP?

It would be nice to develop an invoicing feature that ties into scheduling, so it's more seamless to bill customers. This would allow us to automate invoices, by billing clients based on the hours that an employee clocks in and out. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Incredibly happy RUN user."
5/5
What do you like best about RUN Powered by ADP?

Ease of use and the support I receive when having issues, either via chat or phone, your support staff are very helpful. I love the dashboard and the information that is displayed, it makes it easy to know what I need to deal with at first glance when I log in. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about RUN Powered by ADP?

Sometimes it is difficult to find exactly which report I need to run. I know it is a common complaint among accountants that the reports are a bit cumbersome. But when I do find a report that is concise and has all the information I need, I like the ability to make it a favorite. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Quick to Learn, Outstanding Support, and Reliable Payroll for Small Organizations"
5/5
What do you like best about RUN Powered by ADP?

It's very quick and easy to learn and use. And the customer support, from sales through implementation and operations, has been outstanding. We are a tiny user (a Little League organization using the system to pay umpires for the games they work), but for a very small monthly fee, we have the same quality of payroll system as the largest companies in the country. And I have always been treated like ADP's best and largest client when talking with any customer support person. The support during the set-up process was wonderful, whenever I'd have a short question, the answer was always clearly explained and directions provided on how to streamline the process. The system is always "up and running" and integrating from our old manual system was extremely easy. Best decision we ever made and I've been the treasurer 26 years. We save money with this system, because we used to pay with cash -- and there are always problems with cash. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about RUN Powered by ADP?

It can be a little confusing when holidays impact a payroll schedule -- so it would be nice to have the system automatically adjust for these delays in funds distribution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy Payroll Management with Reliable, Knowledgeable Support"
5/5
What do you like best about RUN Powered by ADP?

What I like best about RUN Powered by ADP is how easy it is to use and how reliable the support team has been. The platform makes payroll simple to manage, and whenever I've had questions or needed assistance, every ADP representative has been knowledgeable, patient, and quick to help. Their excellent customer service has made the entire payroll process much less stressful, especially during the past couple of months. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about RUN Powered by ADP?

There isn't much I dislike about RUN Powered by ADP. If I had to mention one thing, it would be that some features can take a little time to learn when you're new to the platform. However, whenever I had questions, the ADP support team was always available and extremely helpful, making the learning process much easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"ADP: Straightforward Payroll Setup with Powerful All-in-One HR Features"
5/5
What do you like best about RUN Powered by ADP?

We made the switch to ADP payroll software because the pricing was the same as our previous provider, but it included additional features that can help our small business grow. It covers 401k, HR, and hiring through CareerPlug. Payroll setup is straightforward, and employees have easy access to what they need from one platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about RUN Powered by ADP?

Switching to ADP was simple and really quick. However, when we first got started, there were too many notifications we were automatically enrolled in, and we had to opt out. It was difficult to figure out which ones to toggle on and off. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
