Beautiful functional templates with top notch forum support! **Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Luis F. | President, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** October 26, 2021 **What do you like best about RocketTheme?** I used RocketTheme, as Billy Joel would put it, for the longest time. I loved it. I'm relatively tech-savvy and a rather amateur programmer. Yet, with RocketTheme, I was able to create and maintain a good looking site but tailor it more than 100% out of the box solutions. Also, there are options to get support through the forums and the response is fast and very in-depth. The forum itself is really good with a lot of information available to solve all kinds of problems. The integration with their Gantry system is also great for tweaking and moving sites from one theme to another or "sub-themes" that change colors and highlights. Gantry is very powerful and I can see how for example a programmer could streamline making sites with RocketTheme and Gantry for a living. The documentation for each theme is also very good. You have a lot of information on how to make the most of the themes and how to replicate the demo sites. They also have great plugins. **What do you dislike about RocketTheme?** I can't think of anything. Maybe, I would suggest working more on simplifying CSS customization without having to code for theme fonts. With respect to the business model, if they have a statistic of when themes start feeling dull, they can offer new themes at a discount. **What problems is RocketTheme solving and how is that benefiting you?** I used RocketTheme's themes and plugins for Joomla and Grav websites. They are easy to use and very aesthetic. The prices are reasonable, and the forum support is great! The turnaround time both when changing between themes and putting up a new website was quick and efficient. Customization is relatively easy with Gantry. It also makes it a lot easier to get started on either Joomla or Grav without much understanding of either platforms. ### 2. The themes, templates, and plugins are work together really well. In addition, their paid Premier Support is second to none. Being able to have all sites built on a single framework **What do you dislike about RocketTheme?** The rocket launcher packages can be confusing for new users and the free forum support can take a bit longer then people may like. However, I have used the paid Premier support and have always received prompt replies. **Recommendations to others considering RocketTheme:** Ask yourself if you need a pre-designed theme or you want to build something custom. If you want to use something custom use their free Gantry start themes and save yourself the money. In addition, a club subscription may be a better deal vs buying themes one-by-one. **What problems is RocketTheme solving and how is that benefiting you?** We would create custom sites based on their themes to save us custom development time. In addition, using the Gantry framework for custom sites also allowed us to be more competitive in our offerings.
