While recognition platforms can boost morale and engagement, they need to be used thoughtfully and consistently to avoid feeling superficial or performative. This was my first time using Recognize in a corporate setting. I liked that you could choose from private or public kudos. Peer-to-peer recognition is so important, especially as folks get busy in their day to day roles. I’d say what I like best about Recognize is how it creates an easy platform of appreciation. It makes people feel seen and valued. The way it consists of recognition between peers and managers really helps boost morale and engagement.

I enjoy the Recognize platform; however, I dislike that the shout-outs do not feel as personal. Some people may enjoy a personal face to face intercation. Recognize is the best. We use this program all the time at work to incentivize each other to be the best and most productive workers that we can be. I have seen first hand how much of an impact something as small as sending a recognition badge to your coworker has. Not only can it make someone's day, but it promotes comradery, it motivates us to do a good job in a consistent fashion, and it improves morale and makes people feel special, important, appreciated, and most importantly, seen. I think recognize is an invaluable tool, that frankly, we can never use enough! Not only that but the recognize site is extremely user friendly and easy to use.
