"Very customizable LIMS, not very intuitive to use"
4/5
What do you like best about QBench?

The amount of flexibility, customization, and features are the main draws for us, as we use a wide variety of test methods and workflows. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about QBench?

As the software has to start out as a one size fits all template, the workflow isn't very intuitive and doesn't begin as a good translation of our internal processes. This is an inherent trade-off with a high level of customization; while it was very confusing to learn at the beginning, once we got the hang of it our needs were met very nicely Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"QBench made going paperless easy and enjoyable."
5/5
What do you like best about QBench?

QBench makes it easy to keep track of all our testing. We were able to build our first completely digital system to manage tests in our lab in a way that followed our process as it was, but encouraged some more efficient changes to how we handle testing every day. The switch was smooth for our technicians and customers, and every piece of our daily work flow is captured in one convenient location. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about QBench?

There was a lot to learn when adopting QBench, and it can seem overwhelming if you aren't familiar. There are so many options visible it can take a while to really feel comfortable navigating within the system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Flexible LIMS for a Rapidly Evolving Industry"
4.5/5
What do you like best about QBench?

QBench offers an easy-to-understand user experience that sits on top of what can be a system that is as simple or as complex as you want it to be. Due to its customization options, the sky truly is the limit. Our industry is one that is evolving quickly, with rules and regulations changing seemingly every week. QBench offers us the flexibility and the confidence to adapt to these changes and not be "locked in" to a system that quickly is obsoleted. There are also a number of features and modules we find useful including Billing and Quality.

The customer support during the implementation process also made me feel "taken care of" and helped expedite the integration of the system into our laboratory. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about QBench?

The customization options of QBench can be both a blessing and a hindrance. Depending on the design and requirements of your test workflows and your programming abilities, QBench can be a challenge at first to get working for your specific needs. The no-code/low-code worksheets are a marginal improvement on the coded versions, but still command a steep learning curve. That beign said I believe the team continues to release updates and new features to aid in the adoption of the system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Qbench is great but could be quicker, more intuitive, and a bit better."
4/5
What do you like best about QBench?

Qbench puts all our sample and LIMS needs in one website. It lets me filter through various tests and due dates which is very helpful for our use case. Also it very easy to make filters, input results, and generate COAs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about QBench?

I think that it could be a lot faster when loading filters, searches, saving, generating COA's, and etc. It takes a few seconds to load anything and sometimes longer. Also the search function could be more intuitive. Typing a sample number, for example, and hitting Enter takes you to another page instead of taking you directly to the sample. It is faster to type on the search bar, wait for the drop down results, and click the sample number on the result than just pressing enter.

Also, in the filters menu, when selecting pre-defined date, there are many useful filters such as Today, this week, etc. but there is not a "Tomorrow" filter. Which is what is most useful in my lab as we do samples the day before they are due. Also once it hits 5pm or 4pm depending on the DST, the Today filter starts showing samples due the next day. I think it should be enabled to show current date until 11:59 pm local time (PDT). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Flexibility in design to adapt to any laboratory workflow."
3.5/5
What do you like best about QBench?

The most helpful thing about QBench is the traceability for each assay to easily determine what reagents and equipment were used in the experiment and to link that to each sample for easy reference. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about QBench?

The entire system is built on a web of worksheets. Worksheet generation is not intuitive. The system to generate has similar functions to other spreadsheet software, but there is definitely a learning curve to create effective worksheets as a user. Report generation is very similar. Even copying from a template still results in issues, that are difficult to be resolved at the user level. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Qbench easy to use"
5/5
What do you like best about QBench?

The best thing about Q Bench is that the customer portal is easy to use and I appreciate that the QBench team is quick to respond to my questions and helps me with creating solutions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about QBench?

Although I think QBench is easy to use on the customer side. its a double edge sword as it is hard to create everything from scratch and it will be better to have more templates that will help us with creating reports or even worksheets Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"QBench is a highly flexible platform that adapts to all of my lab's needs"
4.5/5
What do you like best about QBench?

QBench has consolidated what was split between excel sheets and a Microsoft Access database into an easy-to-use, secure, and adaptable platform. We are able to modify our own environment to meet our needs as they evolve, and QBench support has been very responsive when questions arise. I appreciate that the new tools are largely included at no additional cost, making the current platform a better value as additional functionality is added. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about QBench?

As new features are launched, we have found the documentation to self-learn to be a bit sparse. QBench is always improving, however, and we have recently found the resources they publish to be more comprehensive and allow for efficient understanding of the new tools. "Easy to setup, Very helpful staff"
5/5
What do you like best about QBench?

Qbench is going to help streamline a lot of the workflow in our lab, the tools available are straightforward and easy to understand. Every person who was a part of helping us get Qbench set up was incredibly helpful along the way, especially Ashley, who was there every time we needed any extra assistance or had any questions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about QBench?

At first some aspects seem overwhelming, but the process of learning how to operate the software really cleared a lot of this easily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The most flexible LIMS I've ever worked with!"
5/5
What do you like best about QBench?

The QBench platform is extremely flexible with unlimited features. Our service is non-traditional to say the least, yet we were able to customize workflows and data fields to fit our process exactly. Our customers love the customer portal feature and the ability to create new orders and download data reports remotely. The QBench team is also very supportive and agile- they are constantly making improvements to the system... their customer service goes way beyond amazing! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about QBench?

While you can do everything without an in-house IT department, sometimes it helps to have IT-savvy folks available to make quick updates or changes. So far, the QBench team has been very accommodating when we need slight adjustments or help creating reports, etc., so it hasn't stopped us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
