Labguru ELN is well-organized into various tabs and subsections, such as the E-Notebook tab being conveniently categorized into project, experiment, protocol, and SOP subsections. In addition, the LIMS part of the software is very easy to use as we were able to map out all the different storage locations in the lab and populate them with inventory items. It also sends us an alert every time an item is below its desired stock level which lets us know we need to order more. When adding additional sections to an experiment, the user is able to add a section in between existing sections but not below the existing sections. Labguru has been a great fit for our biotech startup. It’s easy to use, simple to implement, and flexible enough to adapt to our workflows, even with large datasets from our previous Microsoft-based systems. We use it daily to manage strain data, experiments, and inventory, and it’s quickly become essential to our lab. The customer support team is responsive and approachable, even with the time zone difference from Australia. We use the basic Labguru package, and while it's a solid platform, there are some limitations regarding advanced analytical tools and AI assistance. Working with imported tables and performing more in-depth data analysis can feel restricted. Generating detailed research reports and having direct integration with scientific databases for literature, references, or citation suggestions would significantly enhance the experience. A feature that links our experimental data to relevant papers—or even recommends literature based on our projects—would be incredibly valuable.
