We use PrognoCIS for our urgent care practice and we are very pleased with how rapidly we were able to assimilate the product into our practice. The program is comprehensive, and the workers' compensation piece is superior to multiple others we considered. Any minor issues we have encountered with PrognoCIS functionality have been quickly rectified. As we are RCM clients, the only issue we have had is that there is not an integrated Collection Agency for unpaid claims. One challenge we occasionally experience with PrognoCIS is that the ePA (electronic prior authorization) feature is not always consistently available or accessible for clinical staff. One area that required adjustment for our practice was the surgical workflow component. While initially presented as an option within the platform, it ultimately was not a fit for our needs. Difficult to balance bill employer after WC Ins pays DIA rates. Once the process is complete, it takes some fumbling with reports to get accurate data regarding visit counts, total billed and total revenue b/c each WC insurance claim that is paid is duplicated for balance billing. Better solution would be to make the employer a second payer or guarantor so that the same claim ID could be balance-billed to the employer. I have an issue with Prognocis and is the file size limit when you upload documents to a patient´s chart, the limit is only 5MB and If I upload a larger document by mistake, a red file will appear on the list and cannot be deleted until you reach customer support. I have used PrognoCIS for almost 9 months and I find a reason to praise it. You see, with this software, we utilize both their web EM versatile EMR and Revenue Cycle Management. WhiteCoat offers restorative home visits via our patient web platform where patients can use it to make appointment requests. We utilize both the web EMR and the mobile app EMR. We use the web EMR for electronic prescriptions when there needs to be more detailed charting, but the mobile app EMR, which is an iPhone app, is also connected to the web EMR and is primarily used by our providers to chart on the go on their iPhone or iPad.
