## ProductPlan Reviews
 ### 1. Great platform for clear and easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rafael C. | Founder & COO - Chief Operating Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 07, 2026

**What do you like best about ProductPlan?**

I really like how easy ProductPlan is to use and how clearly it brings visibility to the roadmap. The platform makes it simple to organize priorities, communicate plans, and keep everyone aligned around the product strategy. It helps turn complex planning into something much more visual, collaborative, and easy to follow.

**What do you dislike about ProductPlan?**

There isn’t anything specific that I dislike about ProductPlan. Overall, the experience has been very positive, and the platform meets expectations well by being easy to use, clear, and helpful for roadmap visibility and alignment.

**What problems is ProductPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ProductPlan helps solve the challenge of keeping product roadmaps organized, clear, and easy to share with different teams and stakeholders. It provides better visibility into priorities, timelines, and strategic initiatives, which helps everyone stay aligned and understand the direction of the product.

The main benefit is that it makes planning and communication much simpler, reducing confusion and making it easier to present the roadmap in a visual and professional way

 ### 2. Great for Managing Multiple Roadmaps, would benefit from bespoke support package to get more

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mark B. | Global ROV Product Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2025

**What do you like best about ProductPlan?**

I appreciate that I can combine several roadmaps and dependencies into a single view. This feature makes it much easier to manage and track everything in one place.

It is also easy to move around things when dates and timings change, by drag dropping a bar/container ect.

The colouring system keeps a clean look and allows you to quickly identify task-types.

**What do you dislike about ProductPlan?**

Over the past three years, we have worked with several different customer success representatives. Each time a new person joins, it becomes challenging to start over, especially since our product is quite complex and large. It often takes considerable time to bring someone up to speed on our operations and requirements.

I believe that Fugro, in particular, would greatly benefit from a more tailored support approach—one that can also partially grasp the technical use cases of our products.

**What problems is ProductPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pulling together many parts of a wider scale product into more granular details.

 ### 3. Easy to Use Built-out Product with Excellent Onboarding and Support

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Darren S. | Product Owner, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 03, 2025

**What do you like best about ProductPlan?**

The overall functionality accomplishes what it sets out to do and is easy to use. Additionally, I think their onboarding process is smooth and post-go-live follow ups with account reps to make sure you are fully set up for success is great!

**What do you dislike about ProductPlan?**

Overall there is nothing I genuinely dislike, obviously every use case is different and it's tough to please every partner but I think if I had to mention 1 thing it would be that it does not accomplish as much with resource planning as I would like it to. There are ways to achieve this in what functionality exists but it is not as involved as some many want it to be.

**What problems is ProductPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Building out business cases for potential projects, prioritizing those projects, and then transparency and traceability into executing those projects. This allows us visibility at any level into the roadmap of ideas into delivered software.

 ### 4. Transforms Strategic Planning with Clear, Visual Roadmapping

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Enrique C. | VP, Chubb Studio Portfolio Manager , Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 04, 2025

**What do you like best about ProductPlan?**

I really like how ProductPlan gives us a clear, visual way to organize our initiatives. It helps me connect strategy, timelines, and ownership in one place, making it easier to align teams and keep everyone focused on the same goals.

**What do you dislike about ProductPlan?**

I’d say the main gap is the lack of strong OKR-tracking capabilities, which makes it harder to tie initiatives directly to outcomes. I also see inconsistencies in how teams use tables and timeline views, so standardization across the organization is still a challenge.

**What problems is ProductPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ProductPlan brings all our initiatives together in a single location, providing much-needed structure to our planning process and making team priorities clear. By aligning roadmaps, timelines, and ownership, it addresses the issue of scattered information. This alignment not only streamlines coordination but also ensures that our execution remains closely tied to our overall strategy.

 ### 5. Great Jira Integration and Visuals, But Roadmap Sync Needs Improvement

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Leo (Lior) M. | Product Management Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 11, 2025

**What do you like best about ProductPlan?**

Integration with Jira, visuals. We review it once a month, with leadership. For us, it's the visual for leadership, since they won't understand the Jira tickets. It's easy enough to use.

**What do you dislike about ProductPlan?**

The integration takes time to figure out, what imports work and what doesn't and why. Also, the roadmap is super sensitive, if you just try to move it a bit, everything goes out of whack, and it syncs back to Jira, messing up plans.

**What problems is ProductPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows us to create several levels of roadmaps for different audiences in the company. Team obviously works on Jira, but middle management need to see the plans for the Quarter and year, and upper management need to understand how all the blocks fit together from different products at different times.

 ### 6. Effortless Roadmap Tool with Easy Setup

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mel C.

**Reviewed Date:** December 03, 2025

**What do you like best about ProductPlan?**

I use ProductPlan to prioritize work within a fiscal year and ensure transparency and alignment for stakeholders and teams. I appreciate that it makes it easy for my stakeholders and project managers to know what my team is doing and when, reducing communication and miscommunication. I love that the bars are so easy to drag and drop and it's simple to scan. I enjoy that you can make it super simple or more complex, with additional fields being optional and not displaying all the time. The setup is a breeze, and I find it much easier for users than our previous tool. Overall, I'd definitely recommend it.

**What do you dislike about ProductPlan?**

I wish it had theme colors. I spend a lot of time trying to get great colors that work together.

**What problems is ProductPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use ProductPlan to prioritize work and ensure transparency. It helps stakeholders and teams know our plans, cuts down miscommunication, and is simple to use, making it a breeze to set up. It's simple and solves the problem well.

 ### 7. Great for Sharing Updates, But Needs Better Strategic Portfolio Segmentation

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alex V. | Growth Manager / Growth Team Lead, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 30, 2025

**What do you like best about ProductPlan?**

This tool has made it easier for me to share updates about the projects my team and I are working on, including with C-level executives both locally and internationally.

**What do you dislike about ProductPlan?**

We are currently exploring the "Strategic Portfolio" feature. If I include all projects within a single Roadmap, I find it difficult to separate the strategic portfolio into categories such as "ongoing projects" and "what's next." As a result, the current setup seems to require me to create two separate roadmaps to achieve this distinction.

**What problems is ProductPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For us, Product Plan works exceptionally well alongside JIRA, as it gives us an effective way to share the status of each project. Thanks to the JIRA integration, we can usually manage all our updates in a single platform, which streamlines our workflow. Additionally, setting up the integration was very straightforward.

 ### 8. Product Plan is fun to use

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Randolph B. | Product Business Analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 18, 2025

**What do you like best about ProductPlan?**

ProductPlan is most helpful because it makes building and sharing roadmaps simple and visual. I really value the color coding, which helps organize priorities clearly for different audiences. The drag-and-drop layout with collapsible sections keeps things flexible and easy to update when plans change. Its Jira integration is also a big advantage since it connects the plan to its related stories/epics without extra manual work. Overall, it saves time, improves clarity, and keeps teams aligned.

**What do you dislike about ProductPlan?**

While ProductPlan is highly effective for visual roadmapping, reporting and activity analytics could be more detailed, and pricing might be a consideration for larger teams. These are small areas for improvement in an otherwise excellent to.

**What problems is ProductPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ProductPlan solves the challenge of clearly communicating product strategy and priorities across teams. By providing a visual, organized roadmap with color coding and collapsible sections, it makes complex plans easy to understand at a glance. The drag-and-drop interface allows users to quickly adjust timelines or initiatives as priorities change. Its integration with Jira ensures that epics relating to planned work is easily accessible.

 ### 9. Great Roadmaps, Expensive with Some Visual Limitations

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael M.

**Reviewed Date:** December 10, 2025

**What do you like best about ProductPlan?**

I like using ProductPlan for creating project roadmaps to increase clarity and understanding in executing project plans. The roadmap feature is particularly helpful because it enables alignment and clarity in quickly and easily communicating plans and potential milestones. The software can help team members focus on tasks and milestones relevant to their skills, making it easier for them to own their responsibilities and contribute to the project success. The ease of use is an advantage for me.

**What do you dislike about ProductPlan?**

I have trouble with the visualization and the size of the text when creating a roadmap mostly for short-duration tasks in a large schedule, and magnification doesn't seem to adequately address this issue which means you really must develop alternate schedule views. ProductPlan lacks critical path determination, which is crucial for my needs. I've had previous issues with invoicing and ensuring the invoice is correct with the necessary information. That issue was resolved fairly quickly. I find the product feature(s) are expensive compared to other competitive software.

**What problems is ProductPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use ProductPlan to create project roadmaps to increase clarity and alignment by focusing on relevant tasks and milestones, minimizing potential team member overwhelm from extensive details typically provided in a critical path schedule.

 ### 10. Streamlined Strategic Planning Tool powered by a Clean UI, Needs Better Integrations & Reporting/Analytics

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sabharish K. | Senior Business Process Optimization Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 08, 2025

**What do you like best about ProductPlan?**

I really like the easy-to-use UI of ProductPlan. It has a very clean look and makes navigation easier. It's also quick and easy to find the features that I'm looking for, as it is woven into the experience very thoughtfully. It's not clunky or overly complex. I love the visualization aspect of it and the ability to customize different views. The initial setup was very easy, and I was impressed with the time it took to get it up and running, which was in no time. Onboarding was a great experience as well, and we were all well-versed after just a couple of meetings. The tool is very user-friendly.

**What do you dislike about ProductPlan?**

The biggest drawback is for its ability to integrate with other systems and databases seamlessly. So a lot of the data entry work seems very manual and time consuming. Some of the advanced features come up with a pretty hefty price tag. It also lacks some pretty basic reporting and analytics functionality.

**What problems is ProductPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It aligns every business entity and shared service unit across the same priorities, solving the problem of a unified system of record and source of truth.

 ### 11. Frustrating Integration and Usability Issues

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ville K.

**Reviewed Date:** December 08, 2025

**What do you like best about ProductPlan?**

I don't have any particular thing I like. The UI has a modern feel if I have to choose something.

**What do you dislike about ProductPlan?**

I tried using ProductPlan for maintaining roadmaps, but it's usually horrible to use, so I prefer not to use it. It's virtually impossible to do ad-hoc work because the integration is so poorly done. When I need to update and change the roadmap, if I realize something's missing from Jira, I have to sync it, which takes many minutes instead of seconds. Integrations and usability are not at a level that would satisfy users. Although we have an enterprise license, nobody uses the features because they feel useless. The initial setup was hard.

**What problems is ProductPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ProductPlan's integration with Jira is cumbersome and inefficient, making ad-hoc updates slow and impractical. Usability issues and dissatisfying integration levels hinder effective roadmap maintenance. The modern UI stands out positively, but overall features feel useless, and initial setup was challenging.

 ### 12. Effortless Visibility and Customization, Perfect for Cross-Department Roadmapping

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aryeonne J.

**Reviewed Date:** December 04, 2025

**What do you like best about ProductPlan?**

I really like ProductPlan for its ease of use. What stands out to me is that it's user-friendly and easy to understand, so I’ve been able to train myself and other team members effectively, getting them gradually onboard. I appreciate the tutorials that align with what you need to do, allowing you to handle tasks yourself. I love the service provided, as it's helpful whenever we have questions or need guidance. Another thing I appreciate is that there's no clunky configuration and no code is required, which makes everything simple. The interface is straightforward, with everything in one spot, making it user-friendly. I also like the search feature, which makes it easy to navigate. It's very supportive and responsive, especially when we use ProductPlan for presentations; it always presents well and facilitates understanding among team members. The integrations are pretty decent too, particularly the integration with Jira, and we're planning to further use webhooks for more automation. Overall, it makes road mapping straightforward and not overwhelming, providing easy digestibility of information.

**What do you dislike about ProductPlan?**

I don't like that the search feature doesn't pop results right up in view; you have to scroll up to see it, and it doesn't line up with where you're looking. Also, I'd love to have another date option to compare projected dates to actual, which would benefit leadership when reviewing changes. Being able to copy and paste bars to other roadmaps would also be beneficial. Finally, sometimes integrations with tools like ServiceNow don't always work, which means we can't fully depend on them.

**What problems is ProductPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use ProductPlan to manage projects, provide visibility, and aid in quarterly planning. It simplifies roadmap creation, making them easily digestible and editable, with creative options. It integrates well with Jira, facilitating easier access and less manual work.

 ### 13. Streamlined Roadmap Creation and Communication

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carolina C.

**Reviewed Date:** December 04, 2025

**What do you like best about ProductPlan?**

I love how ProductPlan enables me to build and communicate roadmaps clearly and visually, turning strategy into an easy-to-understand plan that aligns product, engineering, and leadership teams. It effectively solves the problem of misalignment and lack of visibility around product priorities. I appreciate how the visual roadmap format facilitates clear, quick understanding of priorities, timelines, and direction without the need for lengthy explanations. This makes alignment and decision-making much faster across teams and stakeholders. I particularly value the drag and drop roadmap builder and the ability to create multiple roadmap views for different audiences, which simplifies communication and caters to the diverse needs of stakeholders. Easy sharing features further enhance collaboration and ensure everyone is on the same page. Overall, I find the tool instrumental in providing clarity, organization, and efficiency in managing projects.

**What do you dislike about ProductPlan?**

I believe ProductPlan could be improved with better dependency management, stronger integrations, and more customizable views for complex roadmaps.

**What problems is ProductPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use ProductPlan to solve misalignment and lack of visibility in product priorities, ensuring clear, visual communication of roadmaps and strategies, aligning product, engineering, and leadership teams.

 ### 14. Visual Power for Roadmaps, Room for Integration Improvement

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bastian G.

**Reviewed Date:** December 04, 2025

**What do you like best about ProductPlan?**

I find the visualization features of ProductPlan incredibly valuable as they allow me to create a live updated view with different portfolio views, eliminating the need for multiple copies of roadmaps and ongoing manual updates, which saves me significant time and effort. The capability to provide visibility to external stakeholders with a single source of truth from JIRA, while maintaining the flexibility to filter, add more information, and tailor live roadmaps for different stakeholders, is immensely beneficial. The unlimited viewers feature is another aspect I particularly like, as it enables seamless sharing without logistical constraints. Additionally, the overall setup and onboarding process were easy, and despite some challenges with JIRA integration, the transition from using PowerPoint slides was notably smoother, further enhancing my team's efficiency.

**What do you dislike about ProductPlan?**

I find the integration with JIRA to be challenging, particularly regarding better grouping of hierarchies. The software could benefit from an improved system where JIRA initiatives are lanes, EPICS are bars, and progress is shown based on stories or story points. Alternatively, containers could serve as Epics and stories as containers. Additionally, the OKR feature in ProductPlan is underwhelming. It lacks necessary subcategories, such as quarterly OKRs that sum to yearly OKRs and business unit OKRs related to P/L Center OKRs. Because of this, we prefer using an additional tool for OKRs. With a few enhancements, ProductPlan's OKR section could be more practical, potentially eliminating the need for more complex tools like Profit.co.

**What problems is ProductPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use ProductPlan to create live, updated roadmaps that provide visibility to external stakeholders, reducing the need for multiple PowerPoint copies and enabling flexible filtering and information addition from a single JIRA source.

 ### 15. Brings Clarity to Diverse Teams, Needs Better Dependency Alerts

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maria L.

**Reviewed Date:** December 04, 2025

**What do you like best about ProductPlan?**

I appreciate ProductPlan for its ability to create alignment and ensure that roadmaps look similar across various teams, even when these teams operate using different tools and methodologies like Azure or Jira. This capability significantly enhances transparency and understanding, allowing any new stakeholder to comprehend what different teams are working on, despite varied work processes. The ease of the initial setup with helpful training sessions contributes to a seamless adoption experience, especially when someone in the team already has prior experience with ProductPlan. These features make ProductPlan a valuable tool for managing roadmaps effectively in a company environment.

**What do you dislike about ProductPlan?**

I am frustrated that when dependencies are used in ProductPlan, they do not indicate if there is a problem. Everything else is color-coded in the tool, so it's puzzling why dependencies aren't. If an item on a roadmap has a dependency, it merely indicates 'I have a dependency' but does not show whether this poses an issue. For instance, if the dependent item ends too late, disrupting plans, there's no alert. I believe the dependencies could utilize color-coding, maybe red for issues and green when all is okay, for clearer communication.

**What problems is ProductPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use ProductPlan to align roadmaps, increasing transparency and understanding across teams with different workflows.

 ### 16. Efficient Planning Tool with Integration Hurdles

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Thomas R.

**Reviewed Date:** December 04, 2025

**What do you like best about ProductPlan?**

I appreciate how ProductPlan allows us to visualize ideas at a high level without requiring extensive effort to produce detailed plans like in other tools such as Jira. Its ability to serve as a central source of information is incredibly valuable, especially when dealing with plans spread across multiple tools. I enjoy the minimal overhead involved in capturing what to include in a plan, which feels similar to a productive whiteboard session. This feature allows me to spend more time thinking of ideas rather than getting caught up in administrative tasks such as creating tickets in Jira.

**What do you dislike about ProductPlan?**

I dislike the current setup of ProductPlan's Jira integration, as it requires each person to individually set it up to sync, making it inefficient. This setup has led to me becoming a bottleneck for others wanting to use ProductPlan, a role I do not wish to have. Ideally, the integration should function like a plugin that is configured once and made available for others to use seamlessly. Additionally, the initial setup was time-consuming, exacerbated by ongoing issues with bugs in ProductPlan's Jira integration, which further hindered the process.

**What problems is ProductPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use ProductPlan to visualize ideas easily and coordinate project planning without extensive details, solving issues of scattered information across tools.

 ### 17. Intuitive Roadmapping with Potential for MS Office Integration

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Karol R.

**Reviewed Date:** December 03, 2025

**What do you like best about ProductPlan?**

I love ProductPlan's intuitive interface, which truly enhances my experience by making navigation straightforward and effortless. This ease of use simplifies the complex task of building product roadmaps and company strategies, ensuring that my focus remains on strategically important activities rather than getting caught up in software complexities. Additionally, I appreciate the effective communication with developers, which adds to the smooth workflow and extends the utility and satisfaction of using ProductPlan.

**What do you dislike about ProductPlan?**

I have difficulty with the integration with Excel, which limits my ability to easily import and export data between ProductPlan and Microsoft Excel. While this is recognized as an area for improvement on my side, it still impacts the process negatively. Additionally, I find the need for more personnel in the Product Management office to fully utilize all features of ProductPlan, suggesting a somewhat steep learning curve. The initial setup was not straightforward due to this lack of resources.

**What problems is ProductPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use ProductPlan for visualizing product development and strategy. Its intuitive interface and effective communication with developers streamline our processes.

 ### 18. Simplifies Roadmap Management with Intuitive Features

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ali S. | Director, Product

**Reviewed Date:** December 03, 2025

**What do you like best about ProductPlan?**

I love using ProductPlan for its ability to create and manage detailed roadmaps designed for delivery teams and stakeholders. The software offers an intuitive interface and robust configuration options that allow me to tailor the roadmap to fit specific needs effortlessly. What's particularly beneficial is the capability to create a comprehensive view comprising multiple roadmaps, providing stakeholders with an impactful overview of all current activities. The ease with which I can generate a visually appealing, presentation-ready view of my roadmap, without needing to create additional overlays, is remarkable. ProductPlan's smooth integration with Azure DevOps enriches its functionality by streamlining processes and enhancing productivity. Furthermore, the setup process was very smooth as I encountered no issues, contributing to an overall seamless experience which enhances my confidence in recommending ProductPlan highly to others.

**What do you dislike about ProductPlan?**

I find it challenging that I cannot convert a bar into a container or vice versa without having to delete the existing one and start from scratch. During initial planning phases, I often create bars as placeholders, and as the scoping and discovery phases proceed, I frequently need to switch the bar into a container. This inability to seamlessly convert between the two means additional work for me, especially given how common this scenario is.

**What problems is ProductPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use ProductPlan to visually demonstrate plans for product areas efficiently, integrating with Azure DevOps. It simplifies creating presentation-ready roadmaps and offers an intuitive interface to view multiple roadmaps, enhancing stakeholder understanding.

 ### 19. Efficient Roadmapping with Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ioulia K. | Senior Technical Product Manager

**Reviewed Date:** December 03, 2025

**What do you like best about ProductPlan?**

I really appreciate the ease of moving parked items or ideas directly onto the timeline in ProductPlan; it makes the organization and management of features incredibly efficient. Additionally, the integration capabilities with CI/CD pipelines significantly enhance the visibility of tasks and dependencies across multiple software teams, which is crucial for streamlined workflow and project mapping. The initial setup of ProductPlan was straightforward, which facilitated a smooth transition to its usage without unnecessary delays. Overall, these features contribute to a more effective planning and execution process in managing product roadmaps.

**What do you dislike about ProductPlan?**

The filtering capabilities of ProductPlan are limited and pose challenges when it comes to handling complex scenarios. Specifically, when multiple teams, product lines, or priorities need to be viewed together, the filters can become difficult to manage. This makes it harder to gain a comprehensive and cohesive view across the board.

**What problems is ProductPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ProductPlan improves visibility across teams, enabling seamless integration with GitLab which enhances project planning and collaboration.

 ### 20. Great for Project Visualization but Needs Real-Time Editing

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mike P.

**Reviewed Date:** December 03, 2025

**What do you like best about ProductPlan?**

I love how easy it is to drag and drop bars within ProductPlan, which simplifies the process of managing and editing our project timelines. The platform's user-friendly nature extends to its editing capabilities, making it effortless to handle multiple selections at once. This ease of use enhances the overall experience when planning and updating projects. Moreover, ProductPlan’s aesthetic appeal and readability stand out, as even our executive team finds it visually pleasing and easy to understand during presentations. Compared to the tool we previously used, Wrike, ProductPlan is significantly nicer, offering a more streamlined and pleasant user interface that supports our project management needs effectively. Having all our projects centralized in one place also facilitates comprehensive planning by project phase and allows us to keep our executive team informed through regular updates.

**What do you dislike about ProductPlan?**

I dislike that ProductPlan does not allow multiple people to edit at the same time, like Google Docs. This limitation causes issues because when we meet twice a week with ProductPlan on the screen, only one person can edit at a time without encountering problems. It becomes glitchy if multiple people attempt to edit simultaneously, which is frustrating and hinders collaboration.

**What problems is ProductPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use ProductPlan to consolidate our technology projects in one place, enabling phase planning and clear presentations for executives. Its easy drag-and-drop feature simplifies management while making information visually appealing and accessible.

 ### 21. Simple, All-Inclusive Features with Excellent Support

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 05, 2026

**What do you like best about ProductPlan?**

I like that it's relatively simple - there aren't a million and one configuration options, and you don't have to worry about whether you have a given feature or not - everyone has all the features.

Support has been good, and our implementation process was straightforward.

**What do you dislike about ProductPlan?**

The APIs could use some work. They get you so close to being able to do something, but then there are one or two things missing that are essential for building the report or the tooling that you need.

**What problems is ProductPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ProductPlan gives us tools for roadmapping, for planning releases, and for collecting customer feedback. We have struggled with the use of different tools, slide decks, spreadsheets, and ways of doing things, and ProductPlan gives us the essentials for bringing that together in one place

 ### 22. Effortless Navigation and Professional Roadmaps

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sarah H. | Senior Director of IT Strategy & Collaboration, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 03, 2025

**What do you like best about ProductPlan?**

It's easy to use, easy to navigate, and the Roadmaps are professional-looking and easy to follow

**What do you dislike about ProductPlan?**

Wish it had more features around resource management or some of the basic portfolio management solutions.

**What problems is ProductPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows us to see all the projects our various functions are asking the IT team to prioritize across each function and across the span of multiple fiscal years. This allows me to have productive conversations about all the demand that is coming from each of our functions and when the right time is to kick off those projects or if there are things we should be deprioritizing.

 ### 23. User-Friendly Roadmapping with Strategic Portfolio Insights

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amarsinh J. | Enterprise Product Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 05, 2025

**What do you like best about ProductPlan?**

The interface is user-friendly, making roadmapping a simple process. I appreciate how features can be connected to company objectives, team goals, and initiatives, which gives leaders a strategic view of their portfolio. This setup enables them to track progress across multiple teams effectively.

**What do you dislike about ProductPlan?**

The Jira integration has a noticeable gap, as not all mapped fields are updated properly. Additionally, the push and import functions can lead to a significant amount of repetition. It would be simpler if Product Plan leveraged the Jira Epic or Story status (To Do, In Progress, Done/Released).

**What problems is ProductPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ProductPlan has been instrumental in helping us establish a standardized roadmap format across our product teams. It has enhanced visibility into our progress toward completing initiatives, improved our ability to track alignment with company-wide objectives, and increased transparency for both our internal and external customers.

 ### 24. ProductPlan is great for Product Management

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 03, 2025

**What do you like best about ProductPlan?**

I really like how easy the tool is to use and the number of features the platform supports from ideation, to goal setting, to roadmapping and outlining initiatives. Our team uses it quite often to flush out our roadmap. Its also pretty inituitive and was easy to integrate since its just a website.

**What do you dislike about ProductPlan?**

I think there are some ways to make the platform more efficient - easier way to update fields, no limit on roadmap fields. Also think it would be great if the portal encompassed more stages in the PDLC.

**What problems is ProductPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Roadmapping! Our team previously created roadmaps in PPT which are hard to update and difficult to share with Sales, clients and execs. ProductPlan allows us to create mutliple views of the same roadmap and really flush out initiatives and dependencies

 ### 25. Road Mapping Feature Makes Product Planning a Breeze

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 03, 2025

**What do you like best about ProductPlan?**

The road mapping feature allows us to clearly visualize deliveries and timelines throughout the different phases of product development.

**What do you dislike about ProductPlan?**

The process of linking strategy, initiatives, and ideas feels somewhat manual at the moment. It would be a significant improvement if AI could automatically map these connections, allowing us to simply review and confirm whether the suggested mapping works for our needs.

**What problems is ProductPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In terms of stakeholder management, we have traditionally relied on listing and rearranging the product lifecycle and expected deliverables in a more manual way. With ProductPlan now in use, we are able to convert these elements into a visual roadmap, which makes the process much clearer. Although we have not yet fully utilized it for discussions with c-suite stakeholders, I anticipate that it will significantly improve our current approach.

 ### 26. Effortlessly Organizes Releases with Stellar Support

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Judy L.

**Reviewed Date:** December 03, 2025

**What do you like best about ProductPlan?**

I love using ProductPlan because it is very easy to use. The interface is intuitive, which makes planning upcoming releases much simpler. The support from ProductPlan analysts has been incredibly helpful, providing the assistance I need whenever required. I also appreciate the frequent updates to ProductPlan, as they continually enhance the functionality and usefulness of the tool, especially in planning our upcoming releases.

**What do you dislike about ProductPlan?**

Nothing that I dislike in particular. I find some functionalities of ProductPlan, like sending out surveys to get feedback from external groups, I want to use but I don't need to use it since I had to resort to using another tool for that purpose.

**What problems is ProductPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use ProductPlan for organizing upcoming releases, determining effort levels, and identifying overlaps, which enhances our project management efficiency.

 ### 27. Excellent Strategic Alignment and Roadmapping

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Avantika D. | Chief - Building Excellence in Service and Technology, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 03, 2025

**What do you like best about ProductPlan?**

The overall high-level roadmap at the organization level and its alignments with the strategic goals.

**What do you dislike about ProductPlan?**

Currently, the percentage complete for tasks must be entered manually. Ideally, when a task or subtask is marked as complete at any level, the system should automatically update and calculate the overall percentage complete at the objective level.

**What problems is ProductPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ensuring that the strategic goal is in harmony with the department's mission and vision is essential. This alignment helps maintain a clear direction and purpose, allowing the department to work more effectively toward its objectives.

 ### 28. Effortless Implementation and User-Friendly Experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Allison K. | Manager, Product Operations, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 04, 2025

**What do you like best about ProductPlan?**

It is not complicated! Easy to implement. The ProductPlan team is also always amazing.

**What do you dislike about ProductPlan?**

I do with there was a bit more customization in certain instances.

**What problems is ProductPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We struggle with getting our Product planning into one place. Our ENG team works religiously in Jira, but we lack views and planning tools from a real product standpoint there. Product Plan gives us what we need outside of Jira to be able to visualize and share roadmaps with internal stakeholders like sales and leadership.

 ### 29. Effortless Roadmap Creation, Needs Better Support

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Saranyan B.

**Reviewed Date:** December 03, 2025

**What do you like best about ProductPlan?**

I appreciate ProductPlan for its excellent capabilities in creating roadmaps, which allows me to efficiently organize and plan for each quarter. The integration features are also a significant benefit, especially the ability to link with Jira tickets and group tasks based on initiatives and epics. This integration creates a seamless workflow and helps in maintaining clear and organized project plans. Setting up ProductPlan was straightforward and easy, which allowed me to get started quickly and focus on productivity.

**What do you dislike about ProductPlan?**

The only area I find lacking in ProductPlan is customer support, which could be improved.

**What problems is ProductPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use ProductPlan to create quarterly roadmaps, integrate with Jira, and organize tasks by initiatives and epics, enhancing my planning efficiency.

 ### 30. Enhances Team Transparency, Needs Better Jira Integration

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rena T.

**Reviewed Date:** December 03, 2025

**What do you like best about ProductPlan?**

I like ProductPlan for its permission aspect, allowing me to give access to anyone I want, which facilitates collaboration and control over who can view our team’s roadmaps. I also appreciate the different views feature, which enables me to create various roadmap styles. This flexibility allows the presentation of projects in multiple formats, catering to different team needs and preferences, making it a versatile tool for planning and communication.

**What do you dislike about ProductPlan?**

I think the integration with Jira could be much better. The syncing of Jira fields and how it functions can be improved to make it easier and more effective.

**What problems is ProductPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use ProductPlan to create roadmaps for my team, providing transparency for other teams and leadership.

 ### 31. Effortless Road Mapping with Azure DevOps Integration

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** James L.

**Reviewed Date:** December 03, 2025

**What do you like best about ProductPlan?**

I appreciate ProductPlan's integration with Azure DevOps. This feature is incredibly valuable to me as it not only displays the status of the roadmap but also facilitates seamless communication between the two platforms. This capability enhances my ability to efficiently manage and visualize roadmaps, ensuring that all stakeholders are kept informed about the project's progress. The integration is a key component that makes ProductPlan especially useful in my workflow.

**What do you dislike about ProductPlan?**

{"I wish that there's a two-way communication with Azure DevOps.","It was challenging, functions were embedding under several clicks. I needed additional guidance from customer success."}

**What problems is ProductPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use ProductPlan to easily create and display roadmaps to stakeholders, with Azure DevOps integration showing roadmap status effectively.

 ### 32. Please, let us customize roadmap shapes!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Oil & Energy | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 04, 2025

**What do you like best about ProductPlan?**

Product Plan is a simple and easy to use tool to quickly build roadmaps. The connection to external data sources such ADO is a very useful feature.

**What do you dislike about ProductPlan?**

A roadmap with many milestones becomes very hard to see and even when collapsing them, the icon on the top is not helpful at all.
The lack of capabilities to customize containers and lanes (e.g., use a different shape than rectangles). If you try to build a roadmap for a Program (group of projects), the roadmap becomes too busy and difficult to read/follow.

**What problems is ProductPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy way to communicate to stakeholders and decision makers the product development progress.

 ### 33. Streamlined Roadmapping with Intuitive UI

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Russ G. | Director, Technology Project & Product Management

**Reviewed Date:** December 05, 2025

**What do you like best about ProductPlan?**

I use ProductPlan for roadmaps and a little strategy. I like that it provides consistent roadmaps across the organization and lets us focus on the items instead of formatting. I really appreciate the easy-to-use GUI, which includes drag and drop functionality, offers different views, and allows customization and the addition of fields across all roadmaps or on an individual basis.

**What do you dislike about ProductPlan?**

We are a challenge with pushy containers to ADO. Wish the view would have a setting to automatically roll the view as the date change

**What problems is ProductPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ProductPlan provides consistent roadmaps across the organization, allowing me to focus on the items rather than formatting.

 ### 34. Intuitive Interface and Seamless DevOps Connectivity

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dominique L. | VP, Product Management, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 03, 2025

**What do you like best about ProductPlan?**

Intuitive User Interface
Connectivity to DevOps

**What do you dislike about ProductPlan?**

No "Undo" option
No easy transfer of formats between roadmaps

**What problems is ProductPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Product Plan enables us to do quarterly planning with rapid ability to create visuals for Senior Management presentations
It also links to our DevOPS epics and features so we can quickly find project details starting with the roadmap
Great communication tool and synchronization tools between the teams

 ### 35. Product Plan has been a great experience, easy to use and has made planning organised and efficient

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kavya A. | Agile Delivery Coach, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 04, 2025

**What do you like best about ProductPlan?**

Product plan is very user-friendly and easy to implement as well.

**What do you dislike about ProductPlan?**

Dependency management feels basic: While you can show dependencies visually, the tool doesn’t offer deeper tracking, alerts, or automated impact analysis

**What problems is ProductPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lack of a structured roadmap: Previously, priorities and timelines were scattered across documents and conversations, making it difficult to get a unified view. ProductPlan centralises everything in one place.

 ### 36. Intuitive and User-Friendly Experience

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Online Media | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 04, 2025

**What do you like best about ProductPlan?**

UX is nice and easy to use, they're consistently adding new features (even if I am not using it, i'm sure other people are benefiting from it)

**What do you dislike about ProductPlan?**

hard to see all the details sometimes, i know if i have too much details i need to click and expand certain row but i would like to have a easy layout to have everything in one place

**What problems is ProductPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

gives me a full roadmap of all the upcoming project, that's easy to read. i like the expanding/minimizing view so i can condense/expand rows as needed

 ### 37. Comprehensive Roadmap Visualization with Excellent Export Options

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Logistics and Supply Chain | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 03, 2025

**What do you like best about ProductPlan?**

ProductPlan provides a consolidated view of the roadmap across different segments/product groups. It has umpteen number of export options to communicate the roadmap out to external stakeholders

**What do you dislike about ProductPlan?**

ProductPlan requires quite a bit of learning and getting used to.

**What problems is ProductPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ProductPlan is our roadmapping tool of choice of our Product Team. It helps visualize our roadmap and helps share our priorities to both external and internal stakeholders. Since ProductPlan provides multiple visual tools to create and communicate the roadmap, it helps Product Managers focus on addressing real issues rather than worry about capturing all the aspects of a roadmap

 ### 38. Excellent for Organizing Initiatives and Campaigns

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 03, 2025

**What do you like best about ProductPlan?**

Product plan is excellent for organizing major initiatives and campaigns in a single place, making it easy to compare their importance and align them with the calendar year.

**What do you dislike about ProductPlan?**

You can't drop files directly into the buckets; only links are allowed. I believe it would be much better if there were an option to upload files as well.

**What problems is ProductPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My team was tasked with creating a yearly calendar that consolidates all of our campaigns in a single location. This calendar needed to be easily shareable with other teams and departments, allowing everyone to clearly understand and visualize our goals.

 ### 39. User-Friendly Tool with Room for PI Planning Enhancements

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joseph S.

**Reviewed Date:** December 04, 2025

**What do you like best about ProductPlan?**

I love how user-friendly ProductPlan is, as it makes navigating and managing product roadmaps a seamless experience. The tool enhances visibility into features and stories, integrating well with ADO to inform and feed into our roadmaps efficiently. The ease of the initial setup is another aspect I appreciate, as it was very straightforward and hassle-free.

**What do you dislike about ProductPlan?**

I would like to see more focus around PI planning activities and specifically determining load for future quarters.

**What problems is ProductPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use ProductPlan for product roadmaps, providing visibility into features and stories in ADO.

 ### 40. Excellent Timeline Visualization for our portfolio & wider organisation

**Reviewed Date:** December 03, 2025

**What do you like best about ProductPlan?**

A great way to show a timeline view of work

**What do you dislike about ProductPlan?**

There is a lot of fields/features which can be overwhelming to start

**What problems is ProductPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Giving a timeline view of work across our portfolio which helps plan capacity/resourcing required, one source of the truth view as so many different systems used.

 ### 41. Simple , flexible, and easy

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mark R. | VP of Product and Design, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 22, 2025

**What do you like best about ProductPlan?**

I appreciate that ProductPlan is asynchronous and treats the dashboarding process as the strategic exploration it’s meant to be. For our team, roadmaps and longer-term planning are essential tools for aligning on specific business outcomes and translating them into detailed tactical work. This structure helps us effectively manage our software delivery process.

ProductPlan’s tools are simple to use, easy to onboard new team members with, and highly effective for enabling ongoing product discussions. These conversations shape our work and allow us to share roadmaps in varying levels of fidelity across the organization.

**What do you dislike about ProductPlan?**

I don't dislike anything about product plan.

**What problems is ProductPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ProductPlan allows us to focus on the thematic ideas that drive the development of detailed features and components—ultimately helping us deliver more value to our customers. It gives our managers a quick snapshot of where things stand and helps all of our teams stay aligned on progress. It also keeps us connected, ensuring nothing slips through the cracks.

 ### 42. A Clear and Easy Roadmapping Tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sravya M. | Data Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 13, 2025

**What do you like best about ProductPlan?**

ProductPlan makes easy to turn high level ideas into clear, visual roadmaps that everyone on the team can understand. I especially like how I can drag and drop items, quickly adjust timelines, and instantly share updates without creating endless slide decks. It saves me a lot of time.

**What do you dislike about ProductPlan?**

Sometimes customization feels limited, and larger roadmaps can get cluttered. A bit more flexibility would make it even better.

**What problems is ProductPlan solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ProductPlan helps me bridge the gap between strategy and execution. Before, roadmaps were scattered across spreadsheets and slides, which made it hard to keep everyone aligned.
