The downside is only in the beginning of using their services. Once you are familiar with how the site works, things are a breeze.

**What do you like best about PrimePay?**

I like PrimePay's interface; it is quite easy to use. I also appreciate that it calculates payroll by itself, which helps me pay the employees. Generally, their support is helpful and nice.

**What do you dislike about PrimePay?**

I wish there was a way to run two separate payrolls. Sometimes the payroll codes need to be added. I don't like the fact that only two-day processing payroll is free. I also wish there was a direct connection between PrimePay and Netsuite so we could automate posting JEs.

I find PrimePay easy to use. It automatically calculates payroll, helping me pay employees smoothly.

**What do you like best about PrimePay?**

It is user friendly, and the technicians are always professional and knowledgeable when I need assistance. I can easily break down pay by regular hours, overtime hours, PTO, sick pay, commission, holidays, etc. It is also easy to add deductions and employees.

**What do you dislike about PrimePay?**

There really is not anything I dislike.  We are a very small company, so the features we use are perfect for us.

We have always used PrimePay while I have been employed, but I cannot imagine calculating any portion of payroll, especially payroll taxes, without PrimePay.

They provide the HRA testing and HR services I need.

**What do you dislike about PrimePay?**

Recently they have not been responsive to issue via email.  For our 2025 HRA testing it took over three weeks for them to confirm that our testing failed, but that there is an exception we use every year that permits our plan to pass the testing.  Currently I have a billing problem with being charged for services I did not need for the HRA testing and after a week no one has even confirmed receipt of my email about the problem.

PrimePay is extremely easy to use.  From the minute I learned about PrimePay from Gretchen Berger, I knew I was in great hands.  The cost of the sowftware blew away the competition. I would highly recommend PrimePay to other companies.

Absolutely nonthing.  Everything is wonderful.

The implementation process went smoothly thanks to Cara & Andrew — she was awesome to work with, very responsive, and made sure things got done right. Overall the system has been easy to use, and support has been solid whenever we’ve needed help.

A few small issues popped up after implementation, but nothing major. Most things have been resolved quickly and haven’t impacted our overall use of the platform.

PrimePay helps us manage payroll and time & attendance accurately across multiple locations. It saves time by streamlining calculations, tax filings, and employee tracking that would otherwise take hours of manual work. Having everything integrated makes payroll runs smoother and cuts down on errors.

**What do you like best about PrimePay?**

The PrimePay feature that we like best is the mobile phone app that allows employees to quickly log in/out and especially the ability to request time off.  The employees quickly view their vacation balances and the calendar for their department to see who else may be approved for time off that day, and get fast responses from their supervisors.  I no longer need to track manual "time off request" slips or enter these manually into the payroll system.  I also love it that employees can access their own paystubs and W-2s (beginning next year).  There is really so much that I like about this system, and the customer service is exceptional.

**What do you dislike about PrimePay?**

There is nothing that I flat out "dislike" about PrimePay.  The automatic feed to our 401k recordkeeper has been tricky for them to set up, resulting in me having to create a spreadsheet and upload it manually each week.  I trust that PrimePay will get this kink worked out.  The pros of PrimePay have outweighed this inconvenience to me.

**What problems is PrimePay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reduced payroll entry errors:  The employees and their supervisors have the ability to view and approve their timecards before payroll is run, and to leave me notes if anything is not correct.  

Reduced administrative time:  Time off requests or unpaid time off is now automatically sent to the payroll system once it is approved.  No more manual entry or missing slips of paper.

No more requests for months of paystubs when an employee needs them for a loan or other matter - they can access these document themselves through the employee portal!

Prime Pay is great because it has everything you could need in day-to-do business electronically. All of the features are very user-friendly and simple to figure out. All of the customer support agents are extremely helpful and always go above and beyond, even if they are unsure of something in that moment - they will always figure it out or follow up.

I do not really see any cons about PrimePay. It is overall a great system.

PrimePay enabled me to stop using a complicated spread sheet for payroll. It allows our guys in the field to make necessary changes and be responsible for their own profiles. It enables our field guys to see their hours in real time VS seeing them on their paychecks like they used to.

**What do you like best about PrimePay?**

I am the treasurer for our church (used PrimePay) and another organization that uses ADP for payroll.  Relative to ADP, PrimePay has no advantages.  It costs more, website is poor, customer service is abysmal, and they make mistakes.

**What do you dislike about PrimePay?**

Customer service.  They could not withhold Philadelphia city wage tax for our two employees who live in Philly.  Many phone calls were made, and they just could not figure out how to do this even though they had the home addresses for these two employees (and so knew they were in Philly) and our Philadelphia City Wage tax employer number.  They also consistently messed up withholding for our pastor. After months of frustation and having thier customer care team not follow up, we changed to ADP.  ADP did everything correctly and at lower cost.  Then, PrimePay charged us nearly $2,000 as an early termination fee that we knew nothing about - it must have been buried in fine print someplace.  The only reason we terminated was because they are so incompetent.  I protested this fee, and they are refunding half of it, but our small church still has to pay nearly $1,000 to PrimePay.  Just an awful experience.

PrimePay did not solve any problems for us ,but they certainly caused some problems!

**What do you like best about PrimePay?**

We’ve been using Prime Pay for 2 years since the merger with SyncHR, and we have been happy with the system, tech support, and customer service. The software is incredibly user-friendly and allows for a lot of import functionality, which has been invaluable for us when we need to make mass updates. 

One of the standout features of Prime Pay is the centralized dashboard. It allows us to access all the important HR data in one place, making it easy to track employee information, benefits, time off, and payroll. The reporting functionality is also very helpful. They provide standard reports as well as an ad-hoc report feature to allow you to create your own reports. 

The employee self-service portal has also been helpful. It empowers our employees to manage their own information, access company documents, and view pay stubs. This has helped us create a paperless process and saved us a lot of time.

Overall, Prime Pay HRIS has improved our HR efficiency, saved us time, and enhanced employee satisfaction. We highly recommend it to any organization looking for a robust and reliable HR software solution.

**What do you dislike about PrimePay?**

I would like to see additional admin roles added to the system. Currently, we can't add our 401K auditor and benefits broker directly in the system without adding them as an employee to a pay unit.

**What problems is PrimePay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use payroll, HR, benefits administration, time and attendance, and applicant tracking. It helped us to create a paperless process and have a ton of information in one place. They also integrate e-verify and background check services. It has made our recruiting to onboarding process more clear and efficient.

Although PrimePay is a powerful platform, I’d prefer if all the employee's information were accessible from a single homepage for Administrators.

But they usually fix them right away.

The fast response of the payroll specialists is by far the best part of being a Primepay client.

The reporting pages is the worst feature I feel. There is typically a report with the information needed but you may take half the day checking each individual report to find the one that has it.

Primepay just ammended my quarterly reports for third party sick pay and they were able to take care of it in less than 24 hours.

PrimePay has the best customer support. Anytime I have a question or concern, I call customer support and I am given an answer same day. PrimePay also has so many new features making things easier on the HR side. PrimePay has step by step documents so you can train any of your staff. The website is easy to use and easy to implement with new or current staff. We use PrimePay daily and our staff also have access to their personal portals to view W2s and pay stubs. When we switched over from PayChex, the integration process was easy and smooth. PrimePay was able to do most of the transition, saving us time and money.

PrimePay uses a third party for the training system and I usually don't get a response when I reach out for technical support.

Keegan Fonte is great.   I was having trouble with getting hold of an agent of PrimePay.  He was able to connect me with the appropriate persons and he has followed up with me numerous to see if the issues I had were rectified.

I have to wait 2 hourr or more to get a representative on the phone.    If I select an option to be called back, I'm not sure when that will happen, if I have been on hold several times for hours. I really don trust response would be faster. A former employee submitted a ticket in September 2023, I just received an email this week (March 2024) regarding the resolution.  I emailed to get more information because I was not aware of the situation.

Nothing.  I have had money taken out with no explaination at least 12-15 times.  It took MONTHS to get a response from my "client success manager".  Support online takes months to get a response.  The HR Counsel is a joke for helping with handbooks.  Once I sat on hold for over 3 hours.

Getting someone to respond in a timely manner.  The HR Counsel.

**What do you like best about PrimePay?**

I appreciate the self service option for our employees as it takes the lift off of the HR team to do the tasks that employees can now do themselves. The customization of fields and integrations with other programs has worked so well and allowed us to have a seamless end to end process. We also were able to affect retention by offering benefits such as earned wage access allowing employees to access their money on their terms.  The customer support has been excellent and the collaboration with the team is amazing. Our account manager is truly an extension of our team and is always available to advise and assist with any issues or questions.

**What do you dislike about PrimePay?**

We would like to see a more robust Performance Management Module for performance appraisals and objective setting.

**What problems is PrimePay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Primepay helps us with managing employees requests with the self service offerings. PP has also integrated well with other programs such as our learning management system, and earned wage access. Open enrollment is an ease with the wizard that walks employees through the benefit offerings with ease.

We nolonger have a dedicated representaive assigned to us so a new representative has to be trained each week.  We are experiencing many corrections and untimely processing.  We have noone to reach out to and the new cloud registration does not work.  Although the representaives seem friendly, once payroll is reviewed and needs corrections it goes back into a different representaive to correct.  Therefore there is no incentive to do a good job.  Notes are written on our file, but not always read.  Also, general totals are not being tied out and employees are being left off.  We had better processing with an assigned representaive.

**What do you dislike about PrimePay?**

I do not like not having an assigned representative.  Payroll is being done poorly and untimely with the need to keep retraining the representatives.

They have not reached out to us for better service.  I have complained to many representatives and was told a manger woulf call me and they never did.  I also called about the cloud usage and didn't get a response back.

Dawn Carpenter is the very best support of all the services we use.  When I have direct access to a dedicated provider such as Dawn, the entire background story of the issue is not required due to the history that exists, and the problem can be addressed much more expeditiously,  than when my call is collected by staff support that is not familiar with our company.

**What do you dislike about PrimePay?**

Union reporting is non existent; reporting on  job specific hours and cost are not available yet - I have had a "ticket" placed for many months now to request access to at least query capability if not a fully designed report. Both union and job reporting is very important for certified payrolls and fringe benefit remittance in our company, and if I ever leave Primepay, this will be the reason. Everything else they provide is perfect.

My favorite this is the ability to easily contact a representative when help is needed.  They are knowledgable and quick to offer advice or help me thorugh needed changes.

I have not experienced an instance when Prime Pay was not helpful.  The staff who helped us get set-up was knowledgable and helpful.  It is easy to become familiar with the software and to enter payroll.  Reports are generated quickly once payroll has been submitted.  Prime Pay is definitely worth the cost.

Easily accessible customer service representatives are a blessing.  When I have a problem I can be assured that they are giving me the advice to solve it correctly.  Payroll is an area where I need to be sure that the proper steps are taken.

Primepay has the best customer service.  Wait times are not usually long even on their busiest days.  Every customer service professional at Primepay that I have worked with has been friendly and extremely helpful.  They have even offered information on additional tips and functions that I was unaware.   The system is fairly easy to work with and you can review your payroll reports before finalizing.

**What do you dislike about PrimePay?**

My least favorite thing about PrimePay is having to have employees use multiple sets of instructions to get logged in as a user (on a PC) and then setup again on the Primepay app on their phone for using the timeclock system that we have through Primepay.  Also, we use the onboarding system but not all of the data filters over into Primepay and I still have to do some setup for employees.  I wish this was more seamless.   In addition, while the customer service folks in the payroll section are extremely helpful, the timeclock customer service while helpful is not always as easy to reach or as friendly at times.

**What problems is PrimePay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Payroll and time management through the timeclock.  I would be interesting in learning more about the newer benefit functions and also Performance Management.

The payroll platform is super easy and user friendly to use. Whatever I don't understand, I always call their customer service number for help and they are so nice it feels like I am talking to my best friend that loves me. I know this sounds crazy, but I swear I would be heartbroken if they ever went out of business. Primepay, keep up the good work!

If I had to think of something, which I cannot, but if I had to think of something, I would say... I wish they didnt charge any fees. That would not even be reasonable. The fees they charge are very resonable and we are so pleased with Primepay.

They help us do our payroll with just a few clicks, they are always happy to talk me through any issues such as entering manual checks, or viewing and understanding reports, tax documents, etc. I needed help understanding about ERC (employee retention credits) and how to file those. Primepay is a relatively easy-to-use program. Payroll is a breeze with Primepay, and setting up new employees is quick and easy. Employees can easily access all their payroll information. Primepay makes tax season easier by sending out 1099s and creating tax packages containing all the necessary information. Primepay support is very helpful.

**What do you dislike about PrimePay?**

Some information is hard to find on Primepay. But when this happens, I call Primepay support, and they are always helpful. Their support line usually has a long wait time; if you email them, it takes a day or two for them to get back to you.

**What problems is PrimePay solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Payroll used to take a long time to process, but Primepay has cut the process in half, making my working hours more effective. This is also the case for tax documents. They create a helpful package, so I don't waste time hunting down the correct documents.
