Connect to 20+ data platforms, including BigQuery, Snowflake, Athena, Redshift, and Postgres. Software companies like Zuora, Gong, and LogRocket use Prequel to share data with their customers. Unlike APIs, Prequel’s platform creates direct connections between data platforms. The initial setup was really quick, the UI is modern and clean, and in general, it just works really well. Customer support is top tier also. **What do you dislike about Prequel?** Nothing comes to mind - it's done exactly what we needed. **What problems is Prequel solving and how is that benefiting you?** Prequel allows our customers export their data without needing us to build anything. We can set up in a few clicks, which saves our team much needed time and makes the experience much smoother for everyone overall. ### 2. Instead of leaving it to our customers to piece this data together via exports or API calls, Prequel enables us to efficiently dump the data directly to the customer warehouse. Customers love it. The Prequel model of data transfer is going to be industry standard in a few years. The Prequel team has deep expertise when it comes to data warehouses. They're also very responsive to support and feature requests. **What do you dislike about Prequel?** In a way, by exposing data tables as a service, you're exposing a second API. This was the right decision for us and our customers - especially since they'd otherwise be creating these tables on their own - but it's worth thinking through the ramifications of maintaining the schemas, SLAs, etc around data transfer. **What problems is Prequel solving and how is that benefiting you?** For us, it saves resources to not have to figure out how to support the many warehouses Prequel supports, and a suprising bonus is that we see less traffic load on our API because customers don't need to poll us. For our customers as well, it saves resources not to have to poll our API, manually rip exports, or use an ill-suited ETL tool to get data to their Ops and Data Science teams. Selling to the Ops/Analytics/Data decision maker is an order of magnitude easier since we adopted Prequel. ### 3. Their team is super responsive and we have found ourselves aligning our product roadmap with soon to launch features from Prequel. **What do you dislike about Prequel?** Constant development means you probably aren't using it to its full potential at any time. **What problems is Prequel solving and how is that benefiting you?** Prequel replaced our in house built data product distribution system. Overnight we went from supporting three destinations to now supporting eveything from the big three, Big Query, Snowflake, and Redshift. To supporting cloud file storage, databricks, all major flavors of SQL and even Google Sheets (there are row limits imposed by google). We now can focus on the data models and not the distribution mechanics. The ability to control the user experiance as opposed to just allowing etl from our systems from alternatives, such as fivetran, was very important to us. When we have specific feature requests, the Prequel team is increadibly receptive and have never missed a timeline they gave to us. ### 4. They may not have updated their review text, but have updated their review. **What do you like best about Prequel?** The product was pretty quick to set up and requires little upkeep.
